Not Just An Attraction

Rate this book
THEIR ATTRACTION CAN’T BE STOPPED.

Shane Hart is every man’s dream. He’s rich, built like a Greek god, and hands down one of the most powerful men on the East Coast. And now, after a horrible divorce, he’s out on the prowl. But to be perfectly clear, Shane isn’t looking for anything more than a solo night of raw, unbound pleasure.

Enter Chris Cohen… A young, single school teacher who just so happens to land himself in one of Shane’s bars at a time when Shane is hungriest for a fresh body to manhandle. Chris isn’t on the market, at least not until Shane spots him on the dance floor. In fact, Chris is dead set on keeping things simple in his life right now as he tries to rebuild himself with a new city, a new job, and a forgotten past.

But once a Hart boy, always a Hart boy. Because the second Shane gets a closer look at Chris, his body makes up his mind for him. He’s decided to put Chris on the market, whether he likes it or not. Shane's wants are instantly replaced with needs. And what he needs is for Chris to be unclothed, pinned against his kitchen counter, and begging to be broken in hard by Shane himself.

One hot, crazy night between the two of them passes and both men vow to move on with their lives. Or so they thought. Because the moment the two of them realize that Chris is Shane’s son’s fourth grade teacher, they come face to face with a stark, undeniable reality.

Yes, they have insane physical chemistry with each other. But do they have even more than just an attraction?

NOT JUST AN ATTRACTION (THE HART BROTHERS, BOOK 1) can be read as part of a series, but this book serves perfectly well as a stand-alone gay romance story with a HEA ending and absolutely no cliffhangers!

**PLEASE NOTE: This book contains a bonus series, ALPHA KANE, by Caleb Stone.**

It wasn't bad in the beginning, but it ended so abruptly I was confused for a few seconds.

I'm totally confused. This book has lots of grammatical issues, and the writing was a bit cheesy; however, I was willing to overlook these issues because the story was interesting, but that abrupt ending completely threw me off. I thought the story would be continued in the next book, but it's about Shane's brother, so I'm just left thinking, huh... what was that?! With some editing and work, I think this author could be good because, as I said, the story was interesting, but I'm definitely disappointed with this read because it could have been far better, and the ending really left me at a loss.

WTF!

Do not purchase this 'not even a novella' story! Who actually gave the OK to put this non-story with no actual ending on Amazon?!?!?! As a customer, I'm not only insulted but pissed I wasted money on this.

The entire book is made up of several different stories that have no ending!

News Flash: writing a complete story about one couple with supporting characters that actually has an ending is a 'GO.'

Writing about several different couples, in several different stories that have no ending is a 'NO GO.'

-frustrated sigh- author has potential, too bad it wasn't put forth to creating an actual story to completion.

WTF? I was getting into the story then wham it is done and the conclusion makes no sense. I was willing to over look the flaws (like poor editing) for a good plot but at 17% into the book and the "story" being done is bs. The other 83% was dedicated to a whole different series that was mentioned briefly on the cover. It was marketed as a Hart book but it was really Alpha Kane, which being angry made me refuse to read, book with a Hart blurb. Thanks for false advertising and being misleading.

Two extremely hot books in one

First, the only reason I gave 4 stars is because I really liked the story lines and characters. The extremely hot, steamy and sometimes raw sex wasn't bad either. My main problem is that I don't think these books were proofread. There are way too many grammatical errors. If I hadn't gotten so caught up in the story, I would've stopped reading it because the errors are way too annoying. Stone doesn't drag the stories out, which I like but in Alpha Kane it feels like he's skipped over things.
First book, gorgeous billionaire, Shane Hart, like most Billionaire's gets whatever he wants. He's divorced with a son, Max, and in a custody battle with his ex-wife. He stays clear of any type of romantic relationships. That is, until he meets Chris. He spots Chris in a club and decides he has to have him for the night so he makes it happen. Neither one can stop thinking about the other and both believe that the one night was for the best. Then fate steps in. Chris is Mac's teacher. The two men meet again at a parent conference. The sparks are still flying so you can guess the rest.
Alpha Kane, another "I get what I want when I want it" story with a decent plot. In this one, Liam is an intern in a very prestigious accounting firm and is engaged to the owner's daughter. He sees Kane in a high end department store and can't understand why he finds the man so attractive since he's straight. Kane knows exactly what's going on and he's going to take great pleasure in proving to this "straight guy" how not "straight" he really is. Liam thinks he'll never see Kane again. He gets pulled in to help his boss work on a possible fraud case against Kane's company. He doesn't know that the man from the store is Donovan Kane himself until the initial meeting at Kane's house. Kane starts his mission that night to show Liam who he truly is and what he truly wants and Kane doesn't play fair. He knows he's pushing Liam hard and he knows it's not right but can't stop himself. Of course, things get very complicated and confusing for Liam, especially because of the case against Kane. Feelings start to emerge and Liam starts to not care about all the consequences he could be facing.

Just no, this one didn't do it for me at all. The beginning was ok story wise but the rest.....the dialogue was cheesy and didn't flow at all, very choppy. There was no consistency at all or barely in their thought process/feelings. Chris would feel pissed off at Shane then...ohh he looks sad/honest/open/truthful etc and he would say: can't be mad at you because you look truthful/sad etc
COME ON! I'm spineless walk all over me I welcome you! It was also very short.
So editing should be redone cuz it sucked and well add some story and make a proper ending.

That's it....so I feel a bit bad since I rarely not enjoy a book but yeah had lots of problem finishing this one...sorry

Say what, now? It's over? I think I love you? Join me as I fight for custody? Huh?
This book had a lot of potential and by ending it when and how it was ended was such a big mistake. If this was a full length novel it would have been amazing.
I'm equally disappointed because my download contains the complete Kane series. So I got to 15% read, and was told The End. Boo!

Finally, there is absolutely, positively ZERO excuse in this day and age, for a published book to have the incorrect use of their/there/they're. Spell check, grammar check, proof readers, editors...no excuse!

I suggest you get this on Kindle Unlimited, but do not buy this book. It appears to be a ploy to combine material with what is billed as "bonus content" for an unrelated story. The extremely misleading Amazon description says it's 244 pages. It's not. it's maybe 30. If you can get over all the spelling mistakes, context errors and terrible editing, it ends out of nowhere. This makes absolutely no sense. Why wasn't the other content released as a separate book?

Awkward

I couldn't finish this. The dialogue and interactions of the two main characters was just so awkward. It felt forced and weird. Guy 1 tries to pick up Guy 2, who turns him down. Then Guy 2 is maybe interested after all, but Guy 1 shoots him down. Guy 2 then leaves, and Guy 1 follows and pulls out all the stops trying to get Guy 2 into bed, despite having just told him that he missed his chance.

Yeah. Weird.

It had the potential to be a great book but has little to no character development and a plot that suddenly stops. Complete waste of a good story idea and a sequel seems pointless and pretty much came out of nowhere

WTF!
This book was a incomplete short story and 3/4 of it was another series which wasn't what I bought the book for.
I feel so annoyed and ripped off.
