I loved the Netflix series so I was a little disappointed for this book to end up as a rather bland and by-the-numbers adaptation of the decent screenplay from Season 1. While there are crumbs of added depth nestled in here (particularly McKeyla’s loneliness), most of the book gives bare minimum or even less description or depth with some portions of dialogue feeling copy-pasted with no proper embellishment. It also made me realise how integral the actresses performances in the series are to the characters - especially with someone like Adrienne who has very little bearing in the book but is such a standout in the series.

For that reason I’d say just stick to the Netflix series? (Though props for putting in the molecular spaghetti recipe at the end)

When I saw this book I freaked out because I saw the show and it was amazing it made me want to learn more about technology and to be more creative. I would love to recommend this book to anyone who likes to do creative things.

I watched the T.V. show before I read this, but I recommend reading the book before watching the show. This book was basically just the whole first episode of the show, but I still really liked it! It is full of girl power, showing how girls can become scientists, astronauts, and engineers. It is also educational because it has science experiments in the back. Only four stars though because I'm a tough critic to please.

I liked the book because there are a lot of computers in it and I like computers.
One thing the author did well is explain everything. Spoiler Alert! My favorite
part was when the four girls go past the lasers. My favorite character was
Adison because she is funny. I would recommend this book because it has a lot of technology.

This book was very good and if you have seen the series of project mc2 then this is just the book of the first series but it was quite a bit better than the show so I recommend reading the book without watching the first series but over all it was good.
