Belle Sorenson Gunness was Norwegian-American serial killer who stood six feet tall and weighed more than 200 pounds. She ended up killing most of her boyfriends and suitors. Horrifically, she also murdered two of her daughters.
This is the biography of a ruthless woman whose abominable deeds earned her nicknames such as Lady Bluebeard, Hell’s Belle and the Mistress of Murder Farm. She has gone down in history as one of the most prolific serial killers of America.
This narrator sounds like she has an electronic voice which makes it very hard to be interested in this book. Also the entire book is composed of names of victims and facts. There is no personal aspects to this book at all. This won't be one of the books I listen to a second time..
This is an educational telling of Belle Guinness. I read it because I saw a documentary on her, I was looking for more information. This is a good book for anyone.
Having lived in LaPorte most of my life, the story of Belle is quite known. This author did a reasonable job of relaying the facts. Could have been better organized and needs photos. Our town museum has a fantastic collection of photos and items of Belle. Worth checking out. Thanks for the read!
It was an okay story. I had a hard time with the names and that annoyed me. The author didn't give a lot of details, just who disappeared and who was found. A disappointment.
I was rather disappointed that proofreading wasn't done prior to print.....
The book content was interesting but many misspelled words and names in duplicate and some names mentioned weren't correct, which made the reading confusing at times.....
