Even the growliest of men need love... All FIVE bestselling Grayslake: More Than Mated novels in one volume!
Follow these alpha males—and their luscious mates—from Grayslake and beyond. Where the Abrams brothers, friends, and occasionally enemies fight for their lives, their future, and their mates. These growly men don’t just find their perfect matches, they find love in the unlikeliest of places. That’s when they realize they’re not just mated, they’re in love… and they’ll battle to the death to keep it.
No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It - The beast wants to make their woman happy, so it’s perfectly content to let her do as she pleases. Then things change. Threats arise, danger comes close, and Ty demands she return to his den. No ifs, ands, or mates about that.
All Roar and No Bite - Who needs claws when you’ve got a baseball bat? Lauren Evans sure as heck doesn’t.
Roaring Up the Wrong Tree - What should Trista do when faced with a hunky werebear who can’t decide if he wants to kill her or screw her?
Love at First Roar - What happens when a half-blind weremole girl falls for a scarred werebear guy? A match made in furry, dirt-caked heaven. Mostly.
Howl My Name - Reid just killed her father. There’s no way Evelyn’s gonna mate him now… Dammit.
This book contains the following novels in the Grayslake: More Than Mated series: "No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It", "All Roar and No Bite", "Roaring Up the Wrong Tree", "Love at First Roar", and "Howl My Name." If you already own these books, please do not purchase this title.
This book was an ok book how ever I do wish the author had done more to make it more interesting. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
I thought the heroine was on the juvenile side. For me, heroines can make or break a book and Mia was written as juvenile although she is an adult.
Mia finds a bear cub in her pantry one day. The child is terrified and pees himself when his guardian comes to Mia's house to get him. Mia denies having the cub and Griss turns into a bear and threatens her. A cop, Ty, shows up to calm the situation. Ty is the bear clan leader, the Itan. Ty returns to Mia's house and finds Parker, the bear cub. Parker's parents just died and Griss is his new guardian. Ty takes Parker back to the clan's den and Mia comes along. Mia is lusting over Ty and vice versa. The relationship between them is just assumed and Mia is called Itana very quickly and without discussion. At one point something scares Parker and instead of asking him what it was, they all spin their wheels investigating.
One thing creeped me out. Mia's mother was raped by her father's best friend before they were married. Her adoptive father was there to pick up the pieces and was there for Mia's first breath. Now, Mia's mom was 16 at the time. The story doesn't say if they waited to start their relationship until she was 18 or what, but I still thought that was a little icky.
The writing is good and the plots sound. I did end up skimming though-there is only so much profanity, blood, and pages of sex I can read before I lose interest. At least each story gets a happy ending-with a sprinkle of humor.
I loved the series Each book has its won super Alpha hero I really recommend for you to read all the books in this series. Each is a stand alone novel w/ a HEA at the end Don't miss it!
No If, And, Bears About It Mia Baker is at the house left to her after her grandfather's passing, and she finds a bear cub in the pantry. Mia is in Grayslake, GA and figures it must be a werebear cub. Mia is from a family of werebears, yet she didn't not inherit the shifting gene, knows all about it. Mia tries to soothe the cub out of hiding, but the cub is very scared and doesn't want to come out. A large, angry, male werebear named Griss comes banging on her door demanding his cub back. The man says he knows his nephew is inside the house and he mistakes Mia as a clueless human. Mia informs him that she is three-quarters human. Mia can see why the club ran into her home to hide from his uncle, luckily a Grayslake police Sheriff and clan Itan, Ty Abrams shows up to handle the situation. This meeting with Griss is only the beginning of trouble and new romance for Mia. All Roar and No Bite I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Van Abrams does not like humans. After he was attacked by them as a child and his uncle was shot and killed by them for protecting Van. Van is the Grayslake clan Enforcer. he is a werebear. So, its a huge shock when a call comes into the station as a human incident and Van tags along. Van has never noticed how his aversion to humans affected his job as a police officer. The call is a domestic disturbance involving the mayor of Grayslake, his wife Anna, and her best friend Lauren Evans. Lauren has been friends with Anna for years, Anna is in an abusive marriage and has talked with Lauren about leaving. A neighbor called Lauen to tell her she heard Anna screaming, Lauren grabs her baseball bat and heads to the house, she bursts in the door to see Anna on the ground with a black eye, split lip. Lauren takes her bat to the mayor, but not before he gets a few hits in on her. Luckily, the police show up before either can do any further damage. Anna refuses to press charges, and the mayor wants to press charges against Lauren if she won't keep quiet about what happened. This book is a two-fer. Not only does Lauren find her mate, in Van. Her friend Anna finds her mate in the other officer and werebear, Martin. Roaring Up the Wrong Tree I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Keen Abrams is the Keeper for the Grayslake clan, yet he is unacknowledged as a true member of the clan. He is not fully recognized as Ty, Van, or Isaac's brother. He is taken for granted. Keen has the reputation of being a ladies man, a player, and a man whore. An incident as a teen has left scars oh Keen's soul and separated him from his family. Trista Scott is half-hyena, she cannot shift but she has some enhancement thanks to her animal. Trista has been living on borrowed time all her life. She has had to live on the edge of skirting the Law to keep herself safe and alive. This did not come easy. Trista's human mother had an affair with a hyena and he put restrictions on Trista's life and where she could and could not go. His family did not openly welcome Trista, they only added to her pain and misery. Trista has been alone ever since her mother disappeared and has depended only on herself. Meeting, Keen throws Trista for a loop and the constant fear intensifies. She can't afford to cross the Abrams anymore than her presence already has, and when Keen urges her to trust him Trista can't afford to trust anyone but herself. Alpha wolf, Reid Bennet is an ass. Love at First Roar I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Isaac Abrams returned to Grayslake in the last book, he had been in cutler with Mia's father helping the clan rebuild. Isaac returned home to his family but after a year of rejection from the females in the clan, Isaac feels its time to move on. Isaac was injured during the Hyena fight from book 1. He was badly scarred because he as the Healer treated and cared for others before himself. And those scars have halted any plans at finding a mate and starting a family. He glimpses the love and devotion between his brothers/their mates/and cub and wants that for himself. But, from the females' reactions-he won't find it here. When Isaac reveals his plans to leave, his family is opposed to the idea, and just as he is settling into the idea of leaving he gains a reason to stay. Kira is a weremole, that once lived among a wolf pack. Kira faced insufferable abuse in the pack, all because she is considered prey. Kira moves to Grayslake in hopes of starting anew. Kira is half-blind, she has a guide dog names Ebenezer. Ebe has a dozen last names and likes to pee on the boxes inside Isaac's house. (His way of saying don't move away I guess.) Kira also has scars from the same acid like substance Carvrix, that scarred Isaac. Kira was the guinea pig for the product, by her brother. At a family function, Kira confronts a she-wolf that spoke bad about Isaac. The she-wolf later attacks Kira and has Carvrix on her claws, Isaac is hurt defending Kira. Later, Isaac spots a stranger in an SUV driving past his and Kira's houses. Next, Kira is almost skewered by a forklift at a home improvement store, then her best friend Zoey shows up nearly dead from having Carvrix used on her. Reid Bennet reappears because Zoey is his half-sister, Zoey finds her mate, and Kira and Isaac complete their mating. Never a dull moment in Grayslake. Howl My Name Reid Bennet is a hard man, but he got it honest. From the tender age of three his father, an Alpha tried to instill in him his future position and the responsibilities and authority the role carried. He had to learn some very harsh life lessons, and had to be able to rise to any challenge thrown his way. He was to say conditioned to be more beast(wolf) than man, to take no prisoners, and no mercy. He is the ultimate end-all of all Bad Boys. Which is probably why his fated mate is Evelyn Archer. She is a werebear and the daughter, of the clan Itan Reid killed. Evie grew up in another clan and had the opportunity to grow up happy and whole. This gives her the advantage of being able to tame the beast that is Reid, she levels him out. Evie called the Southeast Itan for help, due to the horrific, torturous, actions being inflicted on the clan by her father, Patrick and his sadistic brothers Sean, Daniel, and Ezekiel. Reid killed all three bears, but Zeke got away but Reid isn't about to let him go; he sets a trap instead. Evie said we're all a little crazy and I quite agree with that- it's the level of crazy that causes problems. This is a hot and heavy book, check out Chapter 13-O.M.G.!!!!! Yes I am all for that!!
The collection of the Grayslake series allowed me to re-visit the Adam Brothers and to finally read Howl My Name, the book about Reid.
I'm happy I re-enjoyed these stories and I'm also glad I read Reid's book because I truly loved it. He was a villain that turned into a character with a dark cloud over him and now... He's not a good guy but he's better and I find it refreshing to read a romance about him.
I would recommend this volume to those that haven't read the series yet and want just one document to read them all. Also, as I've mentioned, it's a great way to re-visit characters and stories and to read until the very end.
I'm one of those people that gets the Christmas blues. Every year without fail. Not sure why but this year I was able combat that with a cheesy 5 book series about werebears. Nothing takes my mind off shit like by the numbers paranormal romance. Bonus that in this series bears seem to prefer chubby girls, sign me up. 3⭐ it's not exactly new or exciting but it got me through a tough week
Fun, creative, interesting, and some great writing is all combined into 6 books that you will truly enjoy reading! Laughter? Definitely. Well thought out and written characters? Oh yeah. Go ahead, you know you want to!
Love how one story followed the next, do smoothly. This series pulled me in, I couldn't stop reading.... If you like shifter books with family ties, this series is for you....
As always Celia Kyle delivers!! I highly recommend her books to anyone who enjoys escaping to a wonderful emtional read. I am working my way through every one of Celia's books and recommending them to my family and friends
Love the characters. The men are a little over protective but considering the laws and villains as bad as a Disney cartoon they have to be. However is their moms name Margaret or Anna. Maybe Anna Margaret. OK bad joke. Still very enjoyable.
I've enjoyed reading about everyone within these books however my favourite has been Reid. His character has made me chuckle and keep a smile as I've continued to the end. Would love more.
I love this series. Having all five in one place is great. Highly recommend!! Especially if you enjoy werebears and other shifters. She even has a weremole lol
No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It, Book 1: Great story. This is a first read for me by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the characters and the dynamic between them. The plot of the story was very intriguing and kept me engaged from beginning to end. I liked the heroine, Mia. She's sassy and has some seriously funny one liners. Ty is her perfect counterbalance. He gives her what she needs, even when she doesn't realize it at the time. The kitchen battle at the end was awesome, very exciting, and it gave Keen a chance to showcase the extent of his talents. I look forward to reading more.
All Roar and no Bite, Book 2: Great story. I really enjoyed this one. Though I must say that I had some issues with the constant back and forth that Lauren displayed about her relationship with Van. Van was all in from the word go. Lauren kept pulling herself back from him. Other than that, I enjoyed it. The author sis a good job with writing this one and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Roaring Up the Wrong Tree, Book 3: I'm still reading the book, but I just have to pop on and say, "Poor Keen." I just feel so bad for him, for the way his brothers treat him as if he's nothing. It's just really sad.
Hopping on again to say what a jackhole Trista's half brother is. Proves exactly why some hyena's are probably part jackass.
I'm done reading now and, wow, talk about an emotional rollercoaster ride. Keen and Trista both have traumatic pasts and they have each had to learn how to cope with those pasts. If any two people are deserving of a HEA, it's these two. I'm really glad that they made the decisions they did at the end. I think it's going to be a bright future for them. Also, I'm glad that Keen's family has finally managed to get their heads out of their butts and that Trista has found new family. I got to say that I also really love the fact that Lauren and Mia don't wilt under their men or any men for that matter. Plus, I get a good laugh every time Mia shouts Language at someone. Well done to the author for writing another great story. I look forward to reading the next one.
Love at First Roar, Book 4: I love this story. I truly felt joy, or heartbreak depending on the situation, while reading this one. The main characters, Isaac and Kira, were a truly inspiring pair. They each suffered through and survived truly horrific moments in their life, but they each became better people because of those moments. They found solace and love within the arms of each other, something that they were both deserving of. The author did an amazing job writing and bringing this story to life. Well done! I'm looking forward to reading to the next story.
Howl My Name, Book 5: I enjoyed listening to Reid's story, getting a look behind the curtain so-to-speak. When I first met Reid Bennett I disliked him with a passion. He seemed like a cruel, evil man. Don't get me wrong, I love a good man with a tortured soul as much as the next girl, but Reid just didn't seem to have any redeeming qualities. Now, though, he has shown that he has many different sides to him, and the qualities that I once hated about him, I now understand. All of this is due to his affection and bond with Evelyn. This story was interesting for many reasons, one being that a wolf shifter was made the leader of a clan of bears. He came in like Dirty Harry and cleaned house, getting rid of the evil presences that were destroying the lives of the clan members. I think he and Evie still have a lot of work to do before everything will be settled, but this story was a good start. Well done to the author for another job well done.
Gifted a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Score!
So, obviously this is a box set for the series, Grayslake. These are a great set of books! I am hoping there will be more at some point. Features 5 great books. There is laughter, tears, some serious ass kickery, cussing and jars, awesome smexy times! What more could you possibly want? Snarky females and their males?
Ty and Mia are featured in the first story. She finds a scared cub in her cupboard and isn't giving him up. She will protect him at all costs. Nobody is taking him away and will never hurt him again. Momma bear is here to stay! Not even the local Itan will take him! That is unless its her mate and he makes her his Itana! Haha. Love this story!
Van and Lauren are book 2. Lauren is very protective of her friend and will stop at nothing to save her from an abusive a-hole! In comes grumpy Van the enforcer who cant seem to get her outta his head! He's got a dislike for humans and being so drawn to Lauren confuses him til his bear decides she's his mate. Can they survive mating or will he open mouth and insert his foot and his distaste for humans ruin things with her? On top of things danger ensues.
Trista and Keen are book 3. Their story was kinda sad. Keen is taken for granted...very much so. His family and Itan has no idea what he goes through or has gone through in his life. Hyena's are being forced out of the area because of the attack. Trista is half human and half hyena. She is to be ousted as well. Keen wont have it she is his. He ends up leaving to be with her. Lots of complications along the way but very enjoyable!
Kira and Isaac are book 4. Oh I LOVED their story. Isaac was injured and scarred severely in the attack in book 3. Kira is a blind weremole. She is very independent and comes from an extremely violent family. Its so cute and hilarious how Isaac and Kira meet. Her seeing eye dog pees in his house...they are neighbors. Ha. He tries to stay away but he just can't. He's leaving right? Right? Maybish? With Kira's help and knowlege can they all survive?
Reid and Evie are book 5. Now...Reid is an a-hole of epic proportions. He's a little crazy or a lot psycho. He's not exactly been a great guy especially in book 3 of the series. I mean horribad too! This takes some special care cause the Southeast Itan has plans for him. Thinks he's about to be rehabilitated at ****. Is he nuts? Ha. A werewolf Alpha as an Itan to a bunch of abused bears? Um what was he thinking? He meets and saves Evie and damn their connection rocks and its crazy and awesome at the same time. Reid isn't flowers or love at all! Nope! He's intense and his word is law but he protects whats his and this clan is HIS and so is Evie! Awesome awesome story! You cant HELP love Reid. Evie is perfect for him.
You will so love this set! You get heck of a deal at 9.99 for 5 books which normally would run 23 bucks. Snag em cause who knows when this will go up!
What a great group of stories. This set is all about the Grayslake Bears and a few friends. Each story shows another piece of the family and all the things that family will do for each other. Throw in some growly alpha males and some sarcastic strong women and we have fun and enjoyable stories to read. Oh and don't forget the sexy times, those are always good. First book is about Ty and Mia. Ty is the Itan and leader of the bear shifters in Grayslake. He is also the sheriff. That can be helpful or not. Mia is part bear and found a bear cub in her pantry. She is going to protect the cub, but she is not sure from whom. It doesn't take long to find out the bad guy and then the fighting ensues. Secrets are exposed more are suspected. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. Next comes Van and Lauren. Van is the enforcer for the clan and Lauren is human. Van doesn't like humans very much, until he runs into Lauren with a bat swinging at the mayor. He doesn't know why he is drawn to her but he is. Lauren is trying to stay up of trouble but her best friend is married to the mayor who is abusive and she is trying to protect her. There are still more things that are wrong and they are trying to to get everything sorted out and hopefully no one gets killed while they do. Next is Keen and Trista. Keen is the keeper for the clan, Keen is finally coming into his own after being ignored for the last few years. He also has something hidden in him that he is afraid to let loose. Trista is part hyena and they are mostly hated since they tried to steal and kill the cub that Mia called her own. She is pretty sure that if she stays out of the ways he can stay one step ahead. There is a bear in the way and we will just have to see what happens. Then there is Isaac and Kira. Isaac is the healer and he does a fine job, until those damn hyenas had attacked with poisoned claws and did terrible damage. He was always the pretty boy, but not any more. He had a scar that went all the way down his face and he damn tired of the stares and pity. Then his new neighbor moved in and he was drawn to her. Turns out she is a were mole and almost blind. She doesn't care what he looks like. Now we have more secrets and we are going to find out information that not all will be happy about. Last but not least, Reid and Evie, Reid is a wolf and he just killed an abusive bear who was trying t o attack a little girl. Well turns out he was an alpha of another group of bears and now there is a wolf in charge of the Bears. Turns out his daughter is what he has always wanted but she sure won't want him when she finds out he killed her dad. Well maybe things will be ok. We finally get a lot of answers and find out they are all just one big happy family. I loved each story and the way they blend al the pieces together. Can't wait for more stories from Celia.
When I first started to read this I thought it would be mini stories nope this is a whole series and wow what a series. Book 1 no if, and or bears about it Mia starts a new life in grayslake, George after her grandpa dies and wills her his home. She not even unpacked when she is in trouble and has the clan's leader's and sheriffs attention and boy oh boy does his bear like her! Lol but Mia has her mind set on helping a little cub/boy who needs her. Great story! LOVE the mystery and action in this and it's got lots going on!
Book 2 all roar and no bite This one is about Lauren evans a human and Van the Greyslake's enforcer. He also happens to be the brother of the clan leader and part of the police department. He doesn't care care to much for humans but then his bear meets Lauren on a police call and tells van mine! Lol Lots of action on this one too and a bad guy to hate lol I LOVE bad guys to hate lol Book 3 Roaring up the wrong tree Tristan is a sweet 1/2 hyena mix that all most every one in the tri county loves. All but but the alpha's any ways it would seem and the wolf alpha has been gunning for her mom and her for as long as she can remember. Being part hyena means she has rules she has to follow and one us she can't be in one area to long. So when Keen the were bear comes along and messes up her timing . Well let's just say the fur hits the fan lol. It's a must read I LOVE this one it's the best one of the whole series (so far lol) and I think the whole series has been great! You got to add it to shifter library
Book 4 love at first roar Not sure why the author picked a weremole I never thought of them as sexy but lol ok here is the story on this one and wow it's great too! Isaac is the healer in the family and also a brother to the clan leader. In the last fight with the hyenas they used poison tipped nails. Isaac was scarred and no women in his wanted him now. So he planed on leaving.
Kira is a half blind were mole that was helped to ecape the pack she grew up in by her bff a werewolf. Great story lots of action on this too and an old bad guy is bad trying not to be bad any more lol Awesome
Book 5 howl my name To make up for his wrong doings Reid Bennett has to work for the southeast werebear Itan. Who sent him to investigate the brook field clan's Itan and his brothers. All evil What Reid found turned even his stomic. Wow what action and drama. Great mystery too! This series was fantastic. I would recommend it to shifter fans in the mood for hight quality reading!
Book was gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Did you miss any of the books in the Grayslake series then this is the box set for you. Read them all in order and find out how the Adams boys have to screw up before they are able to win the mate that is destined to spend all their life with them. Don't count these woman out though mated or not they are tough cookies. They will not only stand up to their man but also to any threat that might come after those they consider family or potential family.
Each book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. You will find yourself cheering for them one moment and wanting to smack them along the back of the head the next. Each of these couple though alone or as a couple will have decisions to make and they don't just involve them being together.
In the 5 book though we get more of Reid Bennet's story and we find out if 1) he will find his perfect woman & 2) if he manages not to screw it up. Reid is not in Greyslake but investigating another clan when he is turn on his heals by what is happening there. Reid just had to figure out if he can control himself long enough to set things right. Evelyn Archer knows there must be more to life then this horror that the people of her clan are living through if only she could get the help she needs. The problem is will anyone help her to stand up to the people that are ruling by fear.
This book shows us how far Reid has come since leaving Greyslake and maybe how far he will have to go yet. This book will hook you like all the rest but in this one you might want to bring the bad guys back to kill them again and again. This book you will find that you might be emotionally pulled unlike the others in this series. I would recommend this box set it needs to be on everyone's must read list.

You know you love a story when you reread it. I don’t go back and read often. I was so tickled to see not just the first Greyslake tale, No Ifs, Ands or Bears About It, but ALL FIVE of the wonderful Greyslake books. That’s 5 independent strong women meeting and taming their strong and yummilicios hot alpha bears & wolves.
No Ifs, Ands or Bears About It: Mia, a human moves into her grandfather’s home in werebear territory and immediately finds herself embroiled in shifter issues, panting over a hot bear and about to have her life turned around and upside down all because of one scared cub.
All Roar and No Bite: Van is about to get hit over his hot “no humans” thinking head. And when he finds out just how protective Lauren can be, Van’s going down for the count.
Roaring Up the Wrong Tree: Trista is having a really crappy start to her day of her already rough life when she gets attacked by a werecub that is upset, she runs into Keen and figures that she’s going out of town by sun up. Keen knows that Trista shouldn’t be in town, but for some odd reason she’s the only thing settling his bear and he’s going to protect her and take care of her.
Love at First Roar: Just when Isaac has given up and believes that his outside scars define him, Kira moves to town.
Howl My Name: Reid has worked with the Greyslake clan since the start. Now, it’s his turn to be heard. Evelyn and Reid are perfect together. Reid would kill for her and he just might have to.
This is an awesome collection and an awesome series!!! I absolutely loved it and recommend it!!! There is something for everyone in here and I love getting to know the family so well and getting to continually see them. The stories are so cute and the characters just pull me in. I love all the big alpha males and how they become so protective of their mates. There are so many laugh out loud moments and adorable moments as well. I didn't like George, their father, at first (you'll find out why) buy he quickly becomes one of my favorites and just made me laugh out loud. The sex is hot and there is always plenty of sexual tension. I love how the stories flow and are written. The characters pulled me in from the very first book and by that time I was already attached to the characters for the rest of the stories. I loved Grayslake and would love to see more books with these characters if that's possible. I'm not ready to leave! Come check out this town and these wonderful shifters and their mates.
Great series. I have done separate reviews for each book if you want more information but if you like value for money this is the way to go. Celia Kyle never disappoints her readers. She has feisty, smart, snarky and beautiful curvy women for heroines. Her heroes are Alphas of the first order who always love their women and cubs and are pussycats for them and only them. Everyone else watch out. If you like to laugh, cry and rant out loud this author is for you and especially this series. You will find it hard to put down once you start. I read this series a while ago but the author recently asked for reviews to be published and as I love Celia Kyle’s work it was no hardship to reread this series. Glad Celia asked me, I had forgotten how good they are.
I received this set of 5 books free for an honest review though I had previously purchased them all individually.
This bundle was perfect for me, as that I had started the series by reading the first book but never got any further. Since they were all together in one bundle, I could just keep reading as if it were one really long book. And I definitely wanted to read them all with the new Kindle Worlds books just being released. I'm not sure how many total of those that I'll read, but I have already bought and downloaded two. I do want to say that possibly my favorite two characters out of all the books were George and Margaret Abrams, the parents of all the Grayslake Inner Circle. They were too awesome for words, at least now that they are taking responsibility for all their parenting mistakes.
This series Rocks! I enjoyed how each book built upon the first but with different main characters. Each was very unique story. Take big strong alpha male and pair them with strong willed women and watch the sparks fly. Did not have a favorite out of the series but if I had to pick on it would be: Love at First Roar - What happens when a half-blind weremole girl falls for a scarred werebear guy? A match made in furry, dirt-caked heaven. Mostly.
But then again you take the first book where Lauren who is human stand up to Grizzly Shifter males to protect a cub that is not hers and she has not even met. The opening line of this book hooks you right away! "A bear cub sat in her pantry."
