I've always had a crazy imagination and I loved writing. So, I started writing Forever Careless to see if I had it in me.
It was too much fluff for me, however my friends loved it. So, I wrote another, this time I pushed to boundaries.
One day, while very pissed off with everything around me, I thought of a story without a happy ending. One with real problems and real people. A story that was very close to my heart. The story nagged me constantly. Months later, I sat down and started Hazed.
Only weeks later, Hazed was finished. I was obsessed with it. It took me over a year to finish my first novel and weeks to finish this one.
I knew what that meant. I liked to write about bad people who do bad things. I like to get inside their minds and feel their crazy.
So, if you're looking for hearts and flowers, you won't find them here. My stories are real and they aren't pretty.
Currently available: Hazed, Unfazed, and Ruined. Currently working on: Because of You, Grove, Damaged.
I’m sorry I really really tried, but I HATED the h. She seemed so holier than thou/judgements ( just like the father she claims to hate)/ and prudish. Good lord I’m not sure she actually liked the H. All she did was bitch about him, his choices, and his personality. She would tell him let me in and then as soon as she does she leaves out. Also I’m sorry, but good lord could she be anymore prudish?!?!?! In my minds eye she might as well have been wearing a nun’s habit. I’m not saying the H was that likeable either. There was absolutely no build up to their feeling for one another, it seemed more convenient than burning passion. Anyway. I just couldn’t finish it.
What a perfect ending for this angst full duet! What a rollercoaster ride it was. I would definitely recommend this series to everyone but it does contain stuff that might be triggers.
**I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and not influenced by my source.**
Going into this book, I really wasn't sure what to expect. Hazed ends abruptly (in a good way) and so I didn't know what was going to happen next to these two characters.
But instead of these two trying to navigate their rather unhealthy relationship, they navigate the outside drama that finds a way into their lives. And while this drama adds some flare to the story, it wasn't what I wanted to read about. I wanted to explore this relationship more.
This novel also started really slow for me. While I appreciated getting Hayze's POV for the first time in this series and learning more about his past and motivation; I felt like it slowed things down a bit. Everything was just going through the motions.
And as a result, the ending seemed rushed. That's when the relationship gets tested and things get teased out. I wanted that to happen earlier; I picked up this book to see how this relationship would work.
So, overall, I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get the story I wanted. But nevertheless, it was still a nice way to pass the time and I'm glad to get some closure with these two.
