When business becomes pleasure

Winning is a way of life for Dante Morretti, and he’s got the real estate empire to prove it. With custody of his four-year-old son, Matteo, at stake, Dante intends to win that too. Marrying his best friend, Jordana Sharpe, is a vital step in his plan. But when the alluring actress takes Matteo and Dante sightseeing around Los Angeles, he’s waking up to a world beyond boardrooms and billion-dollar deals.

Jordana is as committed to her acting as Dante is to his business. She doesn’t envision feeling that passion for anything else, until her no-strings arrangement with the gorgeous Italian magnate takes a detour…right into Dante’s bed. Suddenly everything is at stake—her career, his custody fight and a fake marriage that could very well lead to the real family they both secretly crave…

My love for reading developed at an early age. My parents, Daniel and Gwendolyn Odidison, were both avid readers and encouraged me to read as much as possible. Trips to the public library were the highlight of my week and by the time I was in junior high I was reading everything from biographies to suspense to True Confession magazines!

I got my big “break” when I was only fourteen-years-old. I read my first poem at my local church and received a standing ovation. Reading my poems and seeing my plays come to life on stage proved to me that I had a God-given talent for the written word.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education, I hugged my family goodbye and boarded a plane for Seoul, South Korea. I loved every minute of living in Seoul. The people, the food, the culture, the shopping. Three years later, I returned home with a fresh outlook on life and a gorgeous fiancé (yay me!) Jean-Claude and I married, settled into our new home and now have an adorable, three-year-old daughter named Aysiah who keeps us very busy.

I penned my first novella while teaching in South Korea and upon the advice of a good friend and colleague I transformed, Other People’s Business, into a full-length novel. I wrote The Trouble With Luv’ soon after. Two years and thirty rejection letters later, I signed with super-agent Sha-Shana Crichton from Crichton and Associates. Six weeks later I had a two-book deal contract with Harlequin’s African-American Romance line, Kimani Press.

Her Kind of Man, and Love T.K.O. were both released in ’08, and this year there are more scintillating stories to come. I’ve written seven books now, but I feel like I’m just getting started! A huge thanks to all of you who attend my book signings, send me I-love-your-book-emails, leave messages on my Facebook page and who are recommending my books to other die-hard romantics. Sage Collins and Marshall Grant will heat things up in Games of the Heart (August 2009) and a feisty PR Director and a fine, ex-NFL running back rekindle the flames in Passion Overtime (November 2009). Read an excerpt of my novels under the heading Books.

If you enjoy a good romance story, rich with desire, scorching HOT love scenes and a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, you’ve come to the right place. Grab one of my books, recline in a comfy chair and enjoy the ride! I guarantee you’ll love the heroes and heroines featured in my stories. They’re strong but flawed men and women who are just looking for a little love and tenderness! That’s all for now, friends.
Happy Reading and be blessed!

Dante is tall, dark, handsome, an alpha male, and the main character of this book. He’s fresh from a divorce and has absolutely no plans to go down the marriage road again until the welfare of his son becomes an issue. Enter his friend Jordana. Yaye does an excellent job of ensuring that the readers feel connected to both characters.

“He desired her, sure, but some rules weren’t meant to be broken.”

The writing is on the wall about Dante and Jordana’s feelings for one another, but there are some obstacles such as pride and baggage from previous relationships that get in the way. The story has its fair amount of drama, lessons in forgiveness and understanding, and of course there is romance. Seduced By The Mogul is precisely how a friends-to-lovers story should be written!

Uh-oh...

I'm sure that Dante marrying Jordana will in no way affect his friendship with his buddy. 😜 He totally broke the Bro Code, and I have a feeling that it's about to get real ugly real fast! It's scary how hooked I am on these books. I've been reading them back to back since I bought them on the 30th of December. It's been two days and I. I'm already to book 6! You're writing style is very approachable, even if I have to look up some of those five-dollar words you throw around. Onward to book 7!😁

Wow, Dante is something else. It shouldn't matter how Lourdes treated him, she was in need of help.Jordana did the right thing. I'm just glad she talk some sense to him. Dante is very controlling.

I liked the scenes with Dante & Mateo. I felt Dante's character wasn't strong. I also felt Dante didn't take Mateo's well-being serious. Dante & his ex wife got on my nerves. Jordana also got on my nerves. I tried to like this story.

The Morretti's are at it again! Dante is tall, dark, handsome, confident, successful, and down right sexy; just the kind of man Jordanna needs to finally get her "happily-ever-after". She loves a man like Dante because he is true to himself and even more dedicated to his son Matteo! The only problem is she is his friend's ex-girlfriend and she believes he's still in love with his ex-wife. This love story is a must read to see how they both won the other one over! Awesome story and I can hardly wait to read Markos' story!!!

This is my second time reading Dante and Jordanna's love story...and like the first time, I enjoyed it immensely!! Forgiveness is the major key into making this relationship work! It definitely worked for all involved. I absolutely love this series, now onto Markos' story!

Dante is a bit controlling, but loveable. Jordana has issues from growing up and doesn't fully understand his situation. I love their interaction and how they secretly want the same thing - a family. They just need to work through their differences, understand each other's viewpoint and meet on common ground.
Lourdes, Dante's ex-wife is a piece of work; but I do think she loves their son and wants to be a good mother to him.

I totally enjoyed this story. Just like every other Morretti man before him Dante was willing to do anything to protect those he loved even if he did go about it the wrong way. Jordana was just the woman he needed since she was the only able to contain him arms offer him the peace and love he needed. I'd recommend this story and I can't wait to see what Yaye has in store for Markos.
