Hi! I’m Sarah Cass, author, nurse, mom of three, wife, and caretaker of six spoiled rescue cats. I’ve been writing stories for over 20 years, and they tend to get a little spicy, a little emotional, and a little mysterious—just the way I like them.

My published series include:
• The Dominion Falls Series – spicy historical western mystery/suspense (10 books & counting!)
• Holidays in Lake Point - A sweet small-town standalone romance collection (all set around holidays!)
• The Tribe – a shifter-based urban fantasy/paranormal romance
• And coming soon: Dark Sky Valley, a contemporary western romance set in the present-day version of Dominion Falls!

When I’m not writing or working as a nurse, you’ll find me crocheting, knitting, watching Friends or Star Trek for the millionth time, or plotting my family's next move—hopefully to Colorado!

Let’s connect—I love chatting with readers and fellow book nerds

This book starts with Kane finding Velli and this time he isn’t letting her go. Velli has some serious self-worth issues and feels that she doesn’t deserve happiness at all. Kane however knows that she is his mate and is set on making sure she knows it as well. In this book we see Kane open up more and both of them seem to really left their feelings show. That, I think, really allows the reader to see them more as people rather than just some characters. Of course they are also looking for their child which brings its own set of issues. On top of the fact that Velli knows she must return to Sal or the hunters will come after her. This was one of those stories where you can’t wait to find out what happens but you spend the whole time hoping for it not to be something horrible. I can’t wait to see what book three has in store.

Kane finds Velli at the beginning of the book. Remember, we left off with them finally figuring out where she might be. Velli starts to remember Tala's presence. Starts to feel her. My heart breaks for Kane and even more for Velli just a few pages into the book. When I read how she feels about herself. What she thinks she is. What she wants to have happen to Tala. Of course, how Tala feels and what she says to Velli. It's heart-wrenching. Watching Kane and Velli find one another and try to work things out makes my heart happy, but watching as Velli continues to degrade herself and put herself down verbally and in her thoughts when talking with Kane makes me want to cry for her. When Velli realizes her daughter is alive, what does she tell Kane? What plan do they come up with? Where is Morgan? When Kane and Velli finally get to Sal, and confront him, what happens? Where do they find that Morgan is at? What happened to Velli? When Kane contacts Reed, what happens when Velli wakes in the hospital? What does she think happened to Reed? Where is Velli at, and when Kane leaves to get food for Velli, what happens while she's talking to Reed? Does she finally tell Reed the secrets she has been hiding? Where do Reed and Kane need to take Velli? Where is Lily at and what is going on with Reed and Lily if anything? When they have a need to return to their tribal lands, what happens when Kane and Velli breach the wards and magical spells in place? How are they treated when they return? Who is set up to become the Chief in about three month's time? What is the plan? Do Kane and Velli ever find their daughter? Who or what is Bacey? What happens to him when he comes after Velli?

Paranormal story, mix of animal/human shifters. The two main characters are both Wolf/human mix, Veli is messed up in many ways from an attack when young. She has been running and surviving the only way she can for many years, her wolf is dying due to the Tribe's binding. Kane has spent years tracking her, she is his mate but she thinks he just wants her wolf. The things she has been forced to do to live have seriously messed with her head, she doesn't even recognise what's true or not any more. This story is sad in many ways it is also intense in places, I also found I had to concentrate in the parts where there was many things going on or lots of people in a scene just to keep it clear what was happening. But that didn't spoil any of the story in any way. It is interesting with a bit of mystery and intrigue, the deep bond between the wolves is loving and sensual, which also flows into the human side. This is the second in the new Tribe series and is a continuation from the first, moving on into the third book. They are not stand alone books you need to read through in order, and this one ends with a cliff hanger so be aware of that. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be continuing the series as the books come out. It is well written, there is some violence plus lots of magic, the descriptions of the wolves are clear and I would love to see a colour picture to confirm how beautiful they are.

This second book opens up with Kane finding Vels again. He will never let her go again and she knows this. They fight and the get through the moons pull together. Tala, her wolf, needs Kane more than ever and Vels knows that she needs him as well. She is so determined that she doesn't need or deserve him but every fiber in her being tells her different.
Kane opens up in this book and he and Vels lay everything out in the open. He has to keep her safe and he has to convince her that they are indeed mates. They also have to find their daughter. Neither of them give up and when they do reach her, they have a whole lot of issues.
Vels knows she has to go back to Sal or the hunters will come for her.
The love and admiration plus the self hatred and self doubt gives the book room to breath and really opens the dialogue between these two characters.
Will Vels ever be able to just be happy? I cannot wait to see what the next book has in store for us.

This author is absolutely fabulous. Her writing is addictive and this series is at the top of my list. ❤️❤️

would give this more than 5 stars if i could , this book is amazing & non stop ride of tension & excitement . nirvelli & kane have been reunited , even though she still wants to run from him & there love they finally admit they feel .nirvelli still feels as though she deserves everything horrible that comes her way , her sense of worth is lower than its ever been but there is a light at the end of the tunnel ( can't tell you cos that would spoil it ) & her & kane decide to track down this ray of light . her wolf is still trapped but seems slightly stronger after her & kane get together . kane & nirvelli end up where it all started on the tribe lands & its here they are hoping it will all end one way or another . really really can't wait for book 3,sarah cass is brilliant at keeping the story flowing & at making you eager to turn the next page & want more

The sequel to the excellent The Tribe continues the tradition of excellent world building and endearing yet frustrating characters. Jumping forward in time six years from the events of the first book, Kane has finally caught up with his beloved Nirvelli, but will he be able to convince her that he, and not just his wolf, wants her as his mate? As for Nirvelli, she hasn't been making life any easier for herself, trapped by her feelings of shame and self hatred she has allowed herself to become caught up in a shady and shadowy world , and leaving it behind, even with Kane's help may be more difficult than she thinks, especially if she cannot free her bound wolf spirit.
Forced to return to her tribal homelands, she makes a shocking discovery, and it will change her life forevermore.
This feels like a bridging book, guiding the reader between the events of the last book, and what promises to be a hugely compelling third book, where many of the secrets revealed here will really pay off. It is good to have all the main players back together again, and there is no shortage of adventure to keep the reader entertained, as well as enough mystery to keep them guessing and leave them wanting more...onwards to book 3!!
