Sailor Bean is going sailing and he is going to pick up a few passengers along the way. This book follows Sailor Bean as he picks up one heron, then two lobsters, etc. all the way up to the number ten. The story is simple and repetitive enough that kids in the 1-3 years old age range will enjoy learning to count along with the story. The illustrations are nothing fancy but do manage to be colorful and appealing.
I won a free copy of this book in a giveaway but was under no obligation to post a review. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
I received a copy of Sailor Bean Adventures with Numbers by Kathleen Hegedus in a Goodreads give away in exchange for an honest review. It is a well illustrated, delightful counting book for young children. As the title implies the main character is a bean dressed up as a sailor going for a sail on the ocean. Along the way he invites various types of sea friends numbering from one to ten join him on his voyage. The patterned text is predictable and will encourage young learners to help with the reading. I can't wait to read this delightful book to my grandson.
