The pictures in this book are adorable. They are the gentle colors of watercolor paintings, not the bright colors of so many picture books. The story introduces small children to sea life they may not be familiar with, such as crabs, beluga whales and tuna. All the creatures are smiling and friendly which makes them very approachable. I'd love to cuddle a little one in my lap and read this to them!

I won this book in a giveaway and was really impressed while reading it. I love the rhyming and that this book doesn't just help children with colors, but also can help them learn some different types of animals. I am going into Early Childhood Education, so this book will definitely come in handy for teaching younger children.
