TerraMates #6

Wrong Alien

Rate this book
Life isn't worth living without an Internet connection. I'm always on the computer, video chatting, and even reading books on my phone.

It was natural for me to use the TerraMates app to find a husband.

I didn't know they would match me with a sexy alien who was afraid of high technology. TerraMates sent me to a mysterious planet where the penalty for having a smartphone was execution!

This story takes place in the TerraMates universe, but can be read as a standalone novel.

BONUS BOOK INCLUDED: The ebook version contains the full-length novel "My Alien King", by Ashley West.

this one began a little weird but rapidly changed to a love story with lots of obstacles, jealous ex's, sad parts and funny situations.

it was an interesting rollercoaster of feelings that ended pretty well and I liked that it was pretty erotic funny wise

Iam a huge fan of Lisa Lace books and I have been listening to as many of her Audiobooks as I possibly can! They are all so engaging and will keep your mind wrapped up in the story even when its done. So when I got the chance to listen to Wrong Alien I was so excited and It did not dissapoint. Annalee and Jesse's story has to be one of my favourates of this series just seeing there story develop was wonderful and I can honestly say this is a love story I wont forget ,it was sexy and swoonworthy and just seeing all that they go through makes you feel like your bursting with happiness when you see that they got there happily ever after ending that they deserved so very much . I also wanted to talk about the world , I dont think I have read about a world quite like Planet Yorkbrook, a world that has chosen to live without technology due to mistakes of the past , it was fascinting reading about this world , Lisa Lace really showed the positives and negatives of a situation like this and found an excellent solution to problems they were having on this world . I loved Wrong Alien , this is another excellent story by lisa lace and the narrators did an excellent job !! omg they made this book so much more addicting ! just by they way they were telling this story. If you are wondering if you should pick up this audiobook up the anwser is yes as soon as you possibly can . Iam running to go get Lisa Lace's next audiobook as soon as I type the last word of this review.

I need to take a moment and applaud Lisa Lace for having such an amazing imagination. This series has a lot of books, and I've read quite a few, and each plot line is completely unique. This is an incredible feat, as far as I'm concerned. I read a lot of series, and the more books in the series the more I like it, but it seems like the longer the series goes the more chances there are of repeat plot lines. That isn't the case in this series at all. Each book is a stand alone, each book has a unique plot line, and each book is wonderfully entertaining. The only commonality these stories have is that they involve aliens, lots of adventure, and lots of sexiness. They also have great characters, world building, and a HEA.
This is the story of Annalee and Jesse. The planet Jesse lives on has banned all technology, and Annalee is a tech addict, lol. That's all I'm going to say about the plot. The story is full of twists and turns, and there is plenty of action outside of the chemistry between the H and h. It has a fast pace without feeling rushed or lacking, and, like a said, a wonderful HEA. I highly recommend all of Ms. Lace's books and I can't wait to read the next one.

I received a free copy of this book and decided to review it

I am loving the terra mates series, and this book is no different.

Annalee needs to get away and make money so she can go to school to become a teacher, she signs up to terramates. She ends up going to marry Jesse, an alien who needs to marry to save the family farm, how will the tech freak survive in a world where tech is outlawed?

Well written, it has twists and turns, excitement danger, romance and some steam

I highly recommend this book, a real page turner that book could not put down

Action Romance

There's lots of action in this story. In a world where technology is banned, Annalee and Jesse's union is cut short when Annalee is caught with an advance phone device. There's added twists and revelations from that point on, and the story gets quite exciting with rescue attempts and renegade tactics. There's death and traitors, and allies in unlikely places. And of course sex and romance.
Cassandra Myles does a great job with narrating the entire book. Each relevant character was easily distinguishable.

This was definitely not one of my favorites of Lisa Lace. I enjoyed the plot of the story but other than Porter I didn't care for the characters at all. The story gave a few good twists that really surprised me.
I didn't care much for Jesse, but a man that judges a woman based solely on her looks isn't going to win points in my eyes. Annalee just got on my nerves. She wanted to be an independent woman and couldn't hack almost every situation she was thrown in.

I absolutely love this series! Needless to say Ms Lace has a wonderful imagination to think up some of these planets. Can you imagine putting a true tech lover on a planet where technology is forbidden? It would be total he** as Annalee finds out. Will Annalee forfeit her life or find her true love? TerraMates does have an excellent rate of success...hopefully Annalee and Jesse will be another success story.

I really like the TerraMates Series. So far I haven't read a book in the series that I didn't like. This one was no exception. It always amazes me that no two stories are the same. Somehow Ms. Lace manages to tell a different tale each time. This one has some twists in it that I didn't see coming which I always appreciate. I look forward to reading the next one. I would like to read one that includes some of the secondary characters from this one (fingers crossed!).

Ughhh
The heroine is supposed to be this modern woman who is sent to a planet where technology is banned. She's referred again and again as being ugly (nice) *sarcasm*
This modern woman makes dumb decisions over and over needing men to rescue her. Her skill sets are a no go and honestly she's just a whiner! Then the instalove .... Sigh .... Why would the author think this would be something people would enjoy reading?

Here’s one love story that went through an emotional roller-coaster, but at its strongest!
Quite ironically how technology addict and a man from a planet like ours in the 17th century work together! LOL!
And just the custom of the first wedding night! First League!
It's a bit extreme, and the story turns so fast when it comes to technology, but that's exactly why that roller-coaster was mentioned!
All in all, a lot of imagination, very steamy, sexy and funny!

Wrong Alien. #6

This is 1st book I've read by this author. It was different but interesting. Each book I guess can be read alone, there didn't seem to be any characters or mention of any previous events in this book. My thoughts were for a planet that had a match making organization or space travel and somehow not having technology seemed strange.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!

Great Read!
Annalee cannot live w/o technology.
When she sign up w. TerraMates, she was not expecting so much restrictions.
Why did her husband had to come from a world that abolished technology?
Jesse needed a wife to inherit his father's farm.
Only couples are allowed to inherit land.
It seemed like the perfect solution.
Both Annalee + Jesse did not foresee that they would also fall in love. AWWW
Nice HEA!

Exciting! What would you do if you want to live on a planet that had banned technology? No electricity, running water, smart phones? Anything electronic?!this is what happens when Annalee signs up for TerraMates and married alien farmer Jesse. Only she smuggles her phone on planet and this creates problems. Jesse has secrets of his own. The book has Lisa's usual wonderful story line and great slow building relationships. Every time you read one of her books you are guaranteed a great read.

Oh my God I can't imagine being on a planet that doesn't like technology. And then to top it off if you are caught with any type of technology its death. Ms. Lace really has her groove on with golden writing flowing thru each page. I absolutely love it. Doing a fantastic job with the characters in this book.
Annalee Beauchene couldn't believe that she a person who has to have technology constantly, I mean everything she has is technology gadgets and why, why would TerraMates send her to Planet Yordbrook, that not only didn't like technology but didn't have any. Then to make matters worse she went and bought all new clothes for her trip, then they made her get rid of the clothes she had to wear there certain type of clothing and definitely NO PANTS. OMG! she had to curtsie, Wow is this planet way behind, my new madra "One Year, just one year, I can do this" !!!!!!!!
Jesse Melnyk is a farmer, this marriage was a means to a end. He looked at her, he saw that she had a good body, nice breasts, her hips we're good for childbearing but that was it he came closer she was ugly, big huge glasses she was dirty, her hair was all messy. What did he get here maybe put a sack over her face at night. But then things changed they got married and then she found out things about him and he about her, they were both trying to save each other. But could they succeed? I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

I wanted to rate this higher, but the story just didn't hold my attention as much as the previous stories were able to. Now, that's not me saying it's a bad story because it's not. It's actually a really good story. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood to read it today. I love this series because the books can each be read as standalones and you don't have to read them in any certain order. However they all have a common theme, an item that binds them together, and that it TerraMates, the service that provides human mail order brides to males from other planets. This story was original because the main female character comes from Earth where technology abounds and she is matched with a male from a planet where technology is banned. It's interesting to see the two meet and how they eventually blend their lives together. I really wish I had been able to stay focused as it probably would have seemed better to me but, like I previously said, maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this book today. I'm gonna listen again at a later date to see if it is that or if the book just isn't my cup of tea. I'll update my review if/when I give it a second listen.

As for the narrators, they did a really good job. Though, at times their performances pulled out of the story rather than suck me further in, but they still did a good job.

Regardless, I'm still looking forward to listening to the next book, though. This one misstep has not soured the whole series for me. Be back later with another review.

The writing was good so I can't bear to give a one star review. The amount of thrill I recieved from this book would amount to one star though.

You expect a certain amount or wierdness, excitment, adventure and sexual attraction when you make the choice to start reading an alien themed romance.

This book has none of it.

It was an easy read but after a while I kept wondering when it would end. The worlds and 'aliens' are never much different from humans. I tried reading the series in order, hoping that as the books progressed there would be some variety.

There wasn't .

What's even more frustrating are the stretches to which you have to go to link this to the terramates agency each time. And how despite being told the women don't have to sleep with the men if they don't want to, when they get there, there is some reason they have to.

If terramates vets all its alien grooms how can one order a bride for another and how did another bride end up in an auction in another book? Other things confused me. Wasn't ann's phone destroyed? How could she get it back? When she became confused at being call Mrs melnyk for the first time... it wasn't the first time.

I just hope- as I've already invested alot of time in this series so I might as well finish- that the next book at least has a legitimate link to the series it's in : Terramates. Maybe an actual alien would be a plus too.

Loved this story! I was a bit worried in the middle as our heroes were enmeshed in quite the problem. They only mounted and my anxiety grew till the very end where it popped in a surprised little explosion of air. I had seen something happening but not what -did.- I was very surprised. And happy. So very much so.

On a little planet far, far away a man finds himself in need of a wife. Through his friend he finds and marries a girl he thinks quite plain (but has killer curves). He treats her coldly at first but a fire brews beneath his cold exterior. And secrets. So so many of them! She has a secret of her own on a planet where the possession of technology is punished by death- she has no idea of that though. Not until it is much too late. The story twists and wrenches itself from what I believed would unfold and I worried and enjoyed every minute of it!

This is the 6th book in this series and each one is a hot read.
Annalee is from earth and she is very tech savvy. But she is not well off she is working 2 part time jobs to save up to become a teacher but her mother is spending all she makes.
She was feeling really down so she thought she would buy an app for her phone and she came across
An item for Terramates so after she found out how much it's worth she join up.
Now this is were Jesse enter the story he lives on a planet that is afraid of technology because what happened years ago.
So can Annalee and Jesse make ago of things.
There are a lot of twists and turns in the one .
So put a few hours away for yourself and live in a different world

I was given this audiobook free from the author for an unbiased review. I loved this, the 6th TerraMate book. Each book is so very unique for a mail-order bride series. The story with Annalee and Jesse rocks. The individual characters are developed well by the the author and their individual stories are very real. Lisa brings the reader (or in this case the listener) in and doesn't let go. Couldn't put the book down. The suspense is thrilling, although I was yelling at Annalee throughout the book, knowing what was she was going to do. But, again, that is what builds the suspense. There were parts that we not, at all, predictable. Keep 'em coming Lisa. Your narrators do a great job as well. Looking forward to the next one.

This is book 6 in the Terra Mates Mail Order Bride series. This one is about Annalee who signs up with Terramates in order to get enough credits to go to school to be a teacher in a year as the contract stipulates you can only get the money if you stay married for a year. Annalee is sent to Planet Yordbrook that doesn't use or allow technology. Jesse Melynk is a farmer, this marriage was a means to an end. The storyline flows through perfectly from the beginning to the end. The story is well written & character's are well developed. The suspense in the story will keep you captivated. This story provides action packed adventure, suspence & sexy scenes. I given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

This was a very good book and I could not put it down! Yordbrook is a planet that’s people have given up all technology because of something done in there past. Annalee has not read the brochure from TerraMates because her mother threw it away, she does not know that the penalty for having advanced items is death. She hides her phone because of a promise to a little boy when she goes to be Jesse’ bride, she has now put them both in danger! Will they be able be able to keep each other safe what happens? Gifted a copy in exchange for honest review:

I think this would be one of my favorites to date of the Terramate series. Reason for that is how it wasn't just about marriage to an alien. There wasn't a typical anything about it. It included suspense, surprises, and of course there will always be love. I really didn't put it down until I was finished because i wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Just a note that you do not have to read any of these books in order in the series. They are all standalone reads.

Reintroduction to Technology, September 18, 2016

Of all the Terra Mates books I have read so far this one is the best. The story is interesting and well written. The author kept the plot of the story from being bogged down in unnecessary details but it read with such a continuous flow that at no point did I get bored or lose a train of thought.

Annalee and Jesse characters were a very much alike even though they did not know it in the beginning. Working towards a common goal can sometimes improve a relationship.

Annalee is from earth and she is very tech savvy. Annalee may at first appear plain, but she is shown to have an inner core strength and a good heart and she is also beautiful. Her new mate is Porter. Now they have to figure out how to survive in a world that once almost annihilated itself with technology. This book is full of surprises and twist and turns. I loved the story line and plot. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Different each time

I like how each book is different each time. This one didn't disappoint me. Can't wait to see how this one ties in with the other books. Maybe this series might help explain what happened in the Mated to the Alien King. I'm wondering how they get back their friends. I've noticed they have been referenced a couple of times in other books. I will have to read more to find out.
