Victoria Monroe was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She and her husband relocated a few times within the state. She favors the Pittsburgh region, where she had her son and daughter. After a ten-year career in corporate retail, she resigned, allowing her the ability to raise her children and write. Victoria loves spending time with her family. She loves music, reading and being outdoors – from the mountains to the beach and everything in between. Watching the sunrise and sunset are some of her favorite things to do. She always looks for a reason to laugh.
I truly love these characters, and the fact that they continue through each book is great. I love that each of their stories evolve. It makes the series very memorable. Although this story is really about Emerson and Ashe.
Have to say, there's lots of drama and a WHOLE LOT of misunderstandings and assumptions in this book. There were times that I wanted to scream at both of them for being so stupid, but isn't that what love does to people?? Makes them crazy and insinuate lots of unnecessary drama? I can't say it was love at first sight, but there definitely was something between these two from the beginning- actually the ending of book 1. But it took a while for them to get their acts together. Trying and giving up was a repeat occurrence in this book- they just couldn't get it right. But was it worth it in the end? There are lots of secrets and hidden facts that I cannot divulge, but it's definitely worth reading to figure out what happens to these two.
This book goes through the trials and tribulations of two very love worthy people, which made the book an amazing read. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book. I would've read it instantly when it was released because I knew Emerson and Ashe's story was worth the wait.
I don't know how she did it but Victoria Monroe Topped herself from last time!
This series Is becoming the books I look for! I marked my calendar when I discovered the release date of this one and now I'm totally satisfied!
The area the story takes place in, the background characters, the scenery, the friendships are all so special and so well developed.
I honestly can't wait to see what's next from Monroe and her brilliant mind!
This was a PERFECT romance! The read was hot, sexy and draped in extra sizzle but classy and sweet with such a heart warming center! I loved it, loved it loved it and Ashe was a banner book boyfriend!
Another great love story in the Forever Series. Very emotional story about Ashe and Emerson which are great names by the way. They fought the relationship for so long but it was clear the sparks were there. Loved Ashe and Emerson through the whole whirlwind of emotions. The story was excellent and also love the description of emotions and the story about Renee. No spoilers but a definite must read. Congratulations Victoria another great book.
Never in a million years did Ashe Bennett think he would fall in love, love means commitment, a relationship, and spending your life with one person, which are all things that would normally send him running in the other direction, but when he sees Emerson he wants it all. Problem is she gives off this unattainable air, she has been hurt in the past and isn't willing to go through it again for fear of it happening all over again. So, it leaves him waiting in the wings hoping she'll have a change of heart and give him a chance, a chance to prove that he is worth the risk, and a chance to explore all the crazy passion and sparks swirling around them.
Emerson Parker doesn't do love, relationships, or commitments, because that would mean she would have to open herself up to someone again, and the last time that happened she ended up on the losing end of that deal. If anything the past taught her you can't trust men, and now she is determined to never let another one into her life or her heart, no matter how charming they may be. But she didn't count on meeting a man quite like Ashe Bennett, on occasion he infuriates her, but there are also times when he is sweet, and she can see something developing between them, but that would also mean wandering into dangerous territory...
Once again Ms. Monroe has crafted a spellbinding love story that you can't help but get wrapped up in, from page one I felt the world around me disappear and her words take over, and they took me on one hell of a literary journey! These two danced around each other throughout the story, wanting to give into their attraction for one another, but something always managed to pull them back. But the fire between them began to get the upper hand and the more they danced the more intense things got, and the closer to the edge of my I got in anticipation of the moment they would finally let go of all their preconceived notions and explore the sparks bouncing between them. And I have to say their dancing made for one hot little reading experience!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these two and l look forward to another exceptional literary escape from Ms. Monroe in the very near future. Highly recommend this one, it's sure to add a little spice to your world, and take you on a very enjoyable literary escape!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
In Falling Forever we get Ashe and Emerson's story. I enjoyed that we got the little added bonus of the Epilogue from Holding On Forever and i think it set the tone of the book with them thinking and seeing what really isn't happening. Within this book there is a series of misunderstanding's with some funny moments and a whole lot of a push and pull to the relationship. Both characters are cautious when it comes to their hearts and relationships. But you can see the love right from the very beginning which makes for a Perfect Romance story. The writing within this book good and it flows of the pages seamlessly "It's really hard not to get completely sucked into the story right from the beginning."
After the first book I didn't think it was possible for the second one to compare, but boy was I wrong!! It's really hard not to get completely sucked into the story right from the beginning. I just loved Emerson and she is the girl that you instantly want to be friends with. As for Ashe, he was cocky, hot, maddening, lovable, and anything else you could come up with. I actually found myself getting a little mad at him a few times, then he would say something and I just melted a little inside. I just love those 2 together!!! This story had the perfect amounts of cute, hot, sassy, sexy and sweet. I cannot wait until the next book!!! :)
Emerson and Ashe's story. . . Sometimes, everything you thought you'd never want becomes everything you’ll ever need. Ashe has never involved himself with anyone. Emerson is a strong determined woman, and wants nothing more then to keep Ash from her heart. But these two come together and all determination is gone, the attraction is strong and the sexual tension is hot hot and hotter. The story is well written and at times funny, funny as watching two people fight and argues and assume what is not there. Will they come together or will they tear each other apart. Read the story it a good one to read and revel in.

Ash and Emerson a love that was a work in progress, hard work. two characters stubborn but caring and so deeply in love with the other they were scared and blind to see what was in front of them, but as they grew so did their love and patience. I loved this second part of their story.
Life was good and life was simple for Ashe. He worked hard, was successful, had a great family and friends. What more could he ask for? Then he bumped into Emerson and his world changed. He never wanted anything as much as he wanted her. Emerson knew his rep and didn't want to be a notch on his pole but dang it the things he did to her. These two could find out what they mean to each other so much sooner with a little communication. As it is this is a great story with some great meat to it. I enjoyed the banter between friends and the crazy that was these two. It's a great read and tons of fun with some good passion. I read them out of order but they are standalone reads from this author who is new to me.
What is a man to do when the hot young lady about whom you’ve been having dirty thoughts, not only works for you, but also part time for your younger sister. Isn’t there something in some employers’ code somewhere that explains why acting on said dirty thoughts is unethical?
Falling Forever is the second book in Victoria Monroe’s Forever Series and is about Ashe Bennet, older brother to Laken who we met in Holding On Forever, and Emerson, her friend and part-time employee. These books are written as stand-a-lones, however, that being said, the epilogue from Holding on Forever leads straight into the Prologue of Falling Forever, where Ashe is attending a gala with another, only because Emerson didn’t ask him first, “I know she wanted to ask me to attend the gala with her tonight. I wanted her to ask me. I would’ve said yes. I would have agreed, knowing damn well, spending the evening with her would mean there would be no way in hell I could stop myself again.”
Instead, she attends looking hot and sexy, and, with another man. Unable to cope, Ashe drops his date home quick smart and seeks to check up on what Emerson is up to when she gets home, date or no, “Emerson, wherever you are tonight, I’m going to find you.”
Straight into Chapter one and two, Ashe is mistaken for a peeping Tom. I loved how this is written! He is the most alpha of males, and he is reduced to ‘A Tom’ by the cops who arrest him, and who know the gun toting ‘Em’ rather well from the firing range. What else did Ashe not know about this hot young lady that works for him, and from whom he has been gallantly hiding those overtly sexual thoughts from?
Hot scenes, hot words, these two are close to setting the sheets on fire. After giving up any chance of a work only relationship, Ashes’ will breaks, and sheer desire rolls over them both in overpowering waves.
Despite this upbeat story, I also feel there is sadness due to mixed messages and misunderstandings. About Ashe changing his dedicated playboy ways and whether Emerson trusts him enough to believe that his playboy ways have changed. What is apparent is the lack of communication, and that is the truth of short and long term relationships world wide. And I loved it. At the heart of Ashe and Em’s story is communication, forgiveness, understanding and second chances. It’s also about realising that sometimes, the fault lies squarely in your lap.
I have no hesitation in recommending Falling Forever, and the first book, Holding On Forever, to those who love the romantic family based stories. They are sweet words draped in sexy clothing, for real. Those moments are hot! I was lucky enough to receive this book from Victoria Monroe through Quirky Blind Date readers group, with no expectation of a review. 4.5 Stars
Falling Forever picks up where Holding on Forever left off and brings us the story of Ashe and Emerson, two of the side characters from the first book. There are things that happen in Holding on Forever that have significance in this one, so I would recommend reading Holding on Forever first.
I really enjoyed the story line of this one. Ashe is Laken’s brother, and Emerson works for Gage at Scott construction. In Holding on Forever, Ashe and Emerson have a spark between them, but Ashe pulls back and pushes Emerson away. I’ve been looking forward to seeing what happens between these two. The story again had great characters, and it was a really sweet story of second chances and forgiving one another, and learning to trust one another.
Ashe is a playboy that has finally found the girl he wants to try and make a life with, but Emerson finds it hard to believe he’s let go of that lifestyle. With so many misunderstandings causing pain and anguish between them, can they find their way back to each other again?
There were a few reasons that this one wasn’t given a higher rating. One big issue I had was in the beginning of the book with Ashe. He was pretty much being a peeping tom, and it just really made me dislike his character from the start. He was even arrested, because Emerson didn’t know it was him, but she didn’t press charges. Instead, she’s somewhat angry with him, but takes him home from the station and then falls into bed with him. That was a big character flaw in Emerson for me. I would have liked to see her be a little more angry and really have to be swayed to let Ashe back into her good graces. I mean he was watching her through her window for a while, and she was naked. That’s not okay in my book. Even though they had history, that’s still just wrong in my book. Each character did redeem themselves in my eyes later on, but that was just a big turn off for me right from that start. The other issue I had was more about writing style and the way Emerson’s back story or introduction started in the book. Emerson is getting a massage and spills all of her history to the massage therapist, and it was just a really weird scene for me. It just seemed like there could have been a better way to show the reader these details about her. It felt like an information dump, and just didn’t fit well into the story for me. There were also a few places the timeline got a little confusing with how much time had passed, and seemed to jump ahead.
Once I got past the first 4-5 chapters the book picked up for me, and I did enjoy the story. It was a nice continuation of Holding on Forever, and a sweet story. It was nice to see the characters from the first book again.

This was my first venture into Victoria Monroe's 'Forever' series (I won it in an author takeover competition) and I am hooked. 'Falling Forever' is the second book in the sequence and not having read the first, I liked that the prologue provides a great introduction and also makes you wish you'd read the previous story - clever tactic!
The two main characters in this story - Emerson and Ashe are constantly circling each other, but each time they get close one or both of them spins away, fearful of where such a connection, dare I say commitment, might take them. Emerson has been badly hurt in the past and offering her heart to someone again is a risk she's not sure she's willing to take. This is not helped by the fact that Ashe doesn't do commitment full stop. Romance, love and all that goes with it are so not for him. But there is no denying that these two have something burning between them, yes there is mind blowing passion, but there's also something else, something far deeper that keeps drawing them back to each other.
Monroe has crafted a wonderful story, with all the ingredients of a great romance; love, laughter, misunderstandings, heartbreak, interfering ex's, great friends, and families who want nothing more than for their children to be happy. Emerson and Ashe are beautifully drawn, as are the other characters in this story; they are endearing, frustrating, vulnerable, fascinating, exasperating and utterly captivating. The ups and downs of this romance had me wanting to hug and slap Emerson and Ashe at the same time, desperate for them to realise that what they had been searching for, all they had ever wanted was right there in front of them.
Monroe's style is lively, her characters engaging and her settings are so well described that you can see, hear and smell them, but they don't overwhelm the main story. This is a great book, perfect to curl up and immerse yourself in. Five stars!
"Whether it's falling waters, stars, snow... the sun falling from the evening sky, or the moon falling into invisible... I'll be there, right beside you."
This is the type of book I would normally read, though I had a hard time determining what my rating is going to be.
Characters I wouldn’t say that the characters were great. Half the time I was pissed at Ashe for being such a jerk, the rest I’m pissed at Emerson for letting Ashe be a jerk. I know in the end Ashe confessed that nothing happened between him and all those girls, but I read a lot of epic love and hate stories where the guy doesn’t get to be as flirty as Ashe. One moment he said he remembers Emerson in everything, and then his mouth will be all over other girls, only to realize that the girl is, and won’t be, Emerson. Like really? Does he need to stick his tongue out in other girls to realize that? Emmy has some issues. She’ll want nothing to do with Ashe, but then she’ll let him do his ways over her. I think the reason why I didn’t like the characters much is because there are inconsistencies with their actions, too much than what I was expecting. Plot I love the office romance theme. This is why I keep on reading the book – I’d love to find out what happens next. Pace The first chapters were confusing. There were just so many words that I find it unrealistic that they’ll be in a conversation; plus, the narrative was confusing too. Ending I like the ending. There’s the unexpected twist, with the baby girl and Ashe fainting, so the ending is a 5 for me.
Overall, it was a good read. I just had issues with the characters and the pace for a bit, but it’s one of those books that you couldn’t put down once you started reading it. 4 stars.
This was the second in the Forever series by Victoria Monroe, and it is the turn of Emerson and Ashe. I enjoyed the story overall and found it to be a very quick and easy read.
This could be read as a standalone, although I did read the first book beforehand (Holding on Forever), and I think there are some aspects that would help with the enjoyment of this story. A lot of the friendships and families are interlinked, so I think it helps to know the history.
Ashe is a bit of a playboy, and has never had it in his life plan to settle down with anyone. Only Emerson is taking up more and more of his thoughts and his mind.
The story didn't flow for me quite as much as I would have liked and in places, there were parts where the time line seemed to jump from one chapter to the next with w big gap of days/weeks, yet the following chapter was the same scene.
I did start to get a little bored with some of the back and forth and constant misunderstandings between the characters.
By the end I started to enjoy it a lot more, and the book picked up for me. The last 20% was my favourite part by far and I did enjoy how it ended.
Overall though I enjoyed the story and will still be intrigued to read Killian's story which is next. A good way to spend a few hours if you want a quick and easy read with some sweet parts.
I love that we get the Epilogue from Holding On Forever at the beginning of the book in order to help us remember how things ended. This is the first time I have had a book do that and I really liked it. We focus on Ashe and Emerson in this book. The reminder of how things were at the fundraiser, before people head to the engagement party was nice. Getting into the prologue, we focus on Emerson. We find her having a spa day with Laken and Rainne. Are Ashe and Emerson due to be star-crossed lovers through the whole book? Every time Ashe tries to get her involved in a relationship, she does something to keep him at arms length. What keeps happening that she is guarding her heart so harshly? You're going to have to read this book. It was really good, there were some incredible surprises tossed in there. Enjoy it!

I will be honest with you. I really did not like the first 3rd of this book. For me there seemed to be no content at all but hot sex scenes in various situations. As fun as it might be reading those scenes, I really like when the story around those has some content. But the story evolved and it got better, later on I got my content and I started liking this book.
I see where all the good ratings are coming from, but as I had a though time with the beginning, I can't give 4 or more stars. 3.5 are still very good in my eyes :)
Favorite quotes: "I realize I've always had everything I wanted, but never what I needed."
"I feel like it's been a lifetime since I've felt anything and now I feel everything at once and nothing else exists. Nothing but us."
"When I'm away from you, it's like I'm away from me."
The story of Ash and Emerson they were entwined in so many ways best friends, siblings and work. There was an attraction of both of their parts but could it ever be anymore than a brief affair. When I started this book I thought not for me but if anyone else feels the same PLEASE PLEASE keep going it is well worth it as their story grows so does your love for them. I didn't expect the end and cried ugly blubbery cries. But what an ending I would recommend this book to anybody who likes twists and turns and of course a HEA. I will definitely be looking up the other books written by this author she has such a great style and always leaving you wanting more. Although this can be read as a standalone. Great read 5 great big flashing stars.
Ashe had feeling for Emerson but he always hid them one night he told her his feelings they slept together but she always was a play boy. She had to go away to help her family she left without telling Ashe he took it bad then he went to see her she was at her parents lake house he went there they had a great time when he left a day later she tried to call him a woman answered his phone she took it like he cheated on her. Then she came back without telling him then he found out she was pregnant he thought she was with someone else but when he found out it was his he did some wrong things but he finally told her his feeling and she found out what really happened then they worked thing out then he proposed to her after she had his babies twins
It took me a little time to become invested in this story. Initially I thought ok Ashe and Emerson are in lust with each other. Neither would admit their true feelings. The story found them repeatedly having a hot tumble between the sheets or wherever the mood took them. At this stage I thought it was a bit shallow and at times a tad corny. Then the entire storyline shifted and there was more to it than just lust and sex. It suddenly had more depth to not only the characters but to the actual story itself and I found myself eager to turn the page. Falling Forever was an easy book to read with plenty of angst, drama and the added touch of humour. My favourite quote by far in the book was "Bumfuckistan, that's where I am."
A fun and steamy romance between to people, Emerson Parker and Ashe Bennett. Both and Emerson and Ashe are convinced they will never commit to another person. They've had bad relationships and they're happy living a single, carefree life with dates, friends and fun. When they meet, and find there is chemistry they can't ignore they decide a little fun with each other won't be so bad.
It's only when unexpected news is revealed do they find each may be just what the other is looking for. Can they get past their own stubbornness to make it work? Do they even have what it takes to make a relationship work?
The epilogue is so sweet and so fun, leading right into the next book in this stand alone series.
This book gets better the further you get through, I'll admit, I nearly chucked it in at the beginning. There are scenes that just do not make sense. I wonder if perhaps the author has got caught up with how the scene is playing out in her head, but has forgotten to actually write the details into the scene. The ending was good, I really enjoyed it and the writing improved throughout the book too. Some of the sex scenes were a bit too descriptive for me personally and sometimes the narrative was confusing. There was too much sex and not enough story to start with. Overall a good story with a few hiccups from the author. 3.5-4 stars :)
Victoria Monroe does it again! Her amazing writing technique has a way of putting you in the moment. You feel like you are experiencing what the characters are feeling. The play list is great and the story is not your fairytale this would never happen to me. The characters are so real and you feel like you were part of every moment. Love, love, love every moment of this book!
Victoria is a new author to me. I was lucky to read Falling Forever through Quirky Blind Date with a Book. Although this is book two in the Forever series, it could be read as a standalone. You'll definitely feel different emotions. Some parts gave me the goosebumps. I can't wait to see what Victoria does next in the Forever series.
I truly loved reading this book. Ashe and Emerson are perfect for each other, but she's a bit insecure and protects her heart. Players are only players until they meet the one woman they can't and won't live without. You'll laugh and cry. Feel good book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy via Quirky Blind Date with a Book.
I loved the story of Ummie and Ass. The way the kept come so close to being together until things keep getting in the way. Hopefully she'll figure out her love before Grammy sweeps in to steal him away.
This was a great story. lots of misunderstandings and assumptions by Ashe and Emerson, but in the end the finally communicate and they love just shines. I didn't read the first book in this series, though I will probably read it one, and didn't really feel like I was missing anything.
3.5-4 stars for me Easy to read love story between Ashe and Emerson. Hot chemistry and after plenty of back and forth a sweet HEA. Enjoyed all the side characters in this story too. I received a free copy of this book.
