Unsurprisingly, I absolutely loved this book! Nako is hands down, my favorite urban author. If you liked The Connect's Wife series, you'll love this. If you've never read a book by Nako, definitely do so right away, I promise you'll enjoy her work.

Miko miko miko…. This was a good book and a page turner for sure. Not sure who i like the most at this point but I’m definitely all in! Nash was a breath of fresh air and the way he came in and gave her love was heartwarming. Her relationship with The ladies in the book was also refreshing. There is definitely more to this story and I’m ready to see….

Love!
The beginning of the love story between Miko and Nash and how she became apart of The Underworld. My favorite line is: "From my rib, you were created for me". The words that Nash spoke to Miko, I know, it just a line but it holds a lot of meaning for me. It is so appropriate. I am absolutely glad Miko cut the POTUS off; he was so unbecoming of her goodies but I'm definitely waiting for The First Lady to get hers!!!

Good read!
This was a really good read. I loved the main character, Miko. Especially the relationship she has with her brother Malachi. The different, yet buddin relationship between Miko and Nash is an interesting one. I can't wait to see how their relationship and his career affects The Underworld and Mikos relationship with them. I'm definitely ready for good four.

I lovvvve this series!!! Recommend this series to everybody who loves a good real life book!! I'm still puzzled on how Nash know about The Underworld!?!. Mike never said anything!! On to next book!

Nako delivered on this one
There is nothing that Nako writes that doesn’t deserve 5 stars. I loved Miko. She fits right in with the Unferworld members. They are all dysfunctional as hell. We see Miko fall in love with Nash and I can’t wait to see where they end up. I feel like we haven’t gotten the full scoop on him just yet. Throughout Miko’s journey of becoming the newest member of the Underworld she experiences shame, pain & love. She’s taken more losses than I can count. But at the end Miko stood strong against everything that came her way. She gained a new family along with a lifelong sister (Lo) (we’ll get on her & Nas another day). From his rib highlights Miko’s growth as she learns to let go, live her life & love. She’s made mistakes but she’s learning. This is probably my second favorite so far after Papa & Demi’s story.

Chile this book is a literary version of Scandal/Tyler Perry Oval but mixed with a blackity black black crime syndicate. The Underworld members are such a dysfunctional bunch but underneath it all there is love there. Miko was “inducted” into the UW by her brother Malachi due to her connections with the government but when a public scandal happens, Miko has to re-establish her role within the UW and move from “part time” to “full time” status. Miko experiences shame and pain but through her journey of healing she develops deep friendships and a relationship so solid and built on faith that her beau knows she was “built from his rib”. Ribs can get bruised tho and that’s all ima say 😉

From his rib is the third book in the Underworld Series........I still haven't read the first book but part 2 and now 3 were both amazing. In this story we learn more about Malachi's sister Miko. Half Korean half black, Miko was raised in the ghetto with a prostitute for a Mother. In spite of this she graduated from college and went on to work at the White House. In fact her position at the White House is one of the reasons she was so valuable to the Underworld. Miko was amazing at her job and an even more amazing mistress to the President of the United States...until their affair goes public. Miko then learns to live life, let go, learn to love again, come into her own as a woman, and of course become a rising star in the Underworld. But what will happen with love and money collide? Will she be able to keep her life with the Cartel a secret from the only man she has given her heart to?

Miko is content with her life just as it is and does not realize something is lacking. Due to her upbringing, she never truly learned how to love. She is thrust in the middle of a scandal that turns her world upside down. Miko hasn't fully learned to love and appreciate herself. Relationships are tested and she suddenly feels all alone. With the help from her newfound brother, friends and one of our fav characters, Miko learns to love herself first and foremost. She finds her inner light and takes her rightful place as the boss she truly is, in life and in love.

Good Story
I liked it. I like that it's focusing on the members of the Underworld. This was book interesting and entertaining. The characters are a mixed bag. I'm still trying to picture Miko in my mind since she's half Korean. I like Nash but he's young so he may mess up in their relationship. Lo needs to get her life and leave Nasir alone. I'm missing pieces because I read this before reading Book one. Now going to reAd Book 1. There are quite a few errors but still a good book.

Talk about a scandal!
Maaannnnn Miko just couldn't catch a break! That girl been through it all!!! I'm happy she finally found Peace, Friendship, Family & a great man. I was rooting for her the whole way. And theeennnn my girl makes an appearance, the one & only Farren Knight! I'm so intrigued by the Underworld. I can't wait for Nasir's book! Awesome read!

Follow your dreams and love hard. Never give up on your dreams is what Nash didn't do. miko helped along the way but she had her own things to think thru and not hold against the next man. I love the direction the underworld is going in and I can't wait to read more

Touching
As usual Nako pulled me in instantly BUT Miko and Nash touched me personally......I have my own Nash and no I may not have my happy ending.....but I absolutely loved how this book flowed! Every book I think I fall more in love with each set of characters

So much drama going on in this book. It was so good. Miko was a fierce woman. I loved her and Nash. I can't wait to read the next book. I would highly recommend this book.

Ok, so "From His Rib (The Underworld Book 3)... and am scratching my head like:
💁🏾♀️ So, more "personal"growth = more power?
🤔 but outside of karma getting one guy in book one, the villains just villain all willie-nillie?
🤯 Poppa got popped, pop at and his lady got jacked. He almost gets exiled.
🤯 92% the First lady str8 wildn. POTUS is nutts! Crickets
😒 Nash is oblivious to what his lady does for a living!
🙄 Nas has got to be the most confusing and frustrating character I've ever read!!
I suppose the underlying message is, they have built this enterprise without shedding blood or causing waves.
Is this the author's clean writing ✍️ style or is that the underlying message of The Underworld?
There is no HEA or closure for these characters/ stories. There are thirteen books in the series, and it appears that we just jump into another couple: more drama, more problems, more money, but zero resolutions 🤦🏾♀️.

There is no HEA or closure for these characters/ stories. There are thirteen books in the series, and it appears that we just jump into another couple: more drama, more problems, more money, but zero resolutions 🤦🏾♀️.

Wow Miko and Nash, powerful love affair!
This series just keeps getting better and better! I am loving learning about each member of The Underworld! Miko was living a dangerous life sleeping with the president, wow she had to know it would one day come to light. Nash came from humble beginnings but he had a dream and a goal! Their love story was so passionate I loved it so much. Poor Malachi, to lose your baby sis like that, so sad! I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series, I can hardly wait to see how it all ends! Great so far Nako!

Miko man has she been through so much! I can’t believe the craziness involving Prez and 1st lady. I love the way she bonded with the women especially Lo. I pitied Lo and her situationship with Nasir. Man he really wants to have his cake and eat it too. So far most of the men in the series stopped the games when they found their one but Nasir is the opposite. Great read!

Great read
Miko went thru it with President and his dirty wife. I still would have her ass killed and him outed to the world but i guess karma will get them one day. Nash is still a puzzle to me and i wonder if he really knows what she and her brother really do based on the song he performed at the memorial. He just put the whole organization on high alert and he don't even know it yet! Can't wait to read the rest of this series.

Family ties
Well this one took me a minute to finish because Miko worked my nerves. She mad so many bad decisions and was totally clueless to do many things. Her meeting her brother Malachi and becoming a part of the Underworld family grew her up. I know she's taking big risk but so far it seems worth it. Nash also was a big blessing even if other can't see it. I love how she never lets anyone else's opinions destroy their relationship. Great job Nako.

Team Miko
Chi has a lot on his plate but he handles it well. The wives and the ladies work for the underworld can’t get along simply because Naz wants to be in control of everything, he’s slowly making me dislike him. I’m happy for Miko and Nash she is really his rib and wish them happiness during this series lol on to book 4

Miko the misfit
This story was interesting. Miko’s perspective on things is definitely different do to her upbringing. She doesn’t think like her Underworld peers and had trouble fitting in. I liked the connection that Miko and Malachi established. I also liked the her and Nash’s relationship.

Nako has made her way to my #1 author!! Omg this book was so good! I really like how Miko and Nash loved each other and how she stood by her man and held him down!! And how when he stood by her side and held her hand and cried for her and prayed for her, that's love!!!

Family!!!
This book to me looked into family is not always blood related. Being bonded to those who have your back is what it means to be family. Meek was looking for that missing piece, which was her low down daddy. Nash was a man after my own heart. He loved hard and with no limits. This was a refreshing read!!
