Andy Lockwood is a writer, an artist, and above all: a dreamer. He got his start in screenwriting and filmmaking where he discovered his obsessive love of storytelling.
He is the author of two novels, Empty Hallways and House of Thirteen; a 12-part serial thriller, At Calendar’s End; and is a regular contributor to horror anthologies. He is always working on another piece of writing, whether it is a novel, a story, or something else entirely. When not slaving away at the keyboard, he spends his time buying books he does not have time to read, and delving into mediums he has no time to fully explore, but he dabbles in them anyway.
He lives in mid-Michigan with his amazingly talented and entirely-too-supportive wife, their delightfully boisterous daughter, a brood of cats, and a misguided idea of what it means to be an adult.

The At Calendar's End series draws you deeper and deeper into the mystery of the death of each member of the Intercalary. I ma enjoying this personification of time and the month. In this installment, Marc (March) is true to his name sake in the old nursery rhyme (March roars in like a lion and leaves like a lamb). We also discover who the group is suspecting of the deaths, A former member of the Intercalary name Tris. She was either, as the book says, the fifth wheel or the thirteenth month. As my thoughts come together to see what's going on, I tend to agree with the group that it may be her. I've bought the next book.

The Intercalary are kind of a hot mess right now. A shadow is stalking them and not only killing them but bringing them to some unknown dimension. Terrifying. And the worst part is, the remaining friends have zero clues as to how to handle it!

This one follows much the same design as the last two with the members of the Intercalary trying to brainstorm how to take this thing down. There was some insight into Tris, a former member of their tribe whom they had banished years ago. Marc, as short lived as this man was, had a fun run in this one and added an unexpected emotional element to this novella. The members of the Intercalary realize the shadow, who they also ping as Tris back from her banishment to seek revenge, is picking them off in order...the problem now is they don't know where Avril is or how to warn her of her fate.

Also, Ember is really shaping to be a solid character. She is pretty sniffly in this one having lost her lover and her best friend in...a day? I'm not sure how much time has past actually. Anyway, the mystery and intrigue grows and I'm ready for the continuation!
