This is my first time reading a book by this author. I don't typically enjoy this genre of YA but this was good and the main characters, while still in college they were both in their late 20's. This book is part of a duet and leaves you hanging, so make sure to have the next book in your cart ready to go. Naima and Tim meet when she is applying for a job and while she thinks he is a cool, good looking guy, she doesn't really think too much more than that..... Until she gets the job and they become friends. Tim appears to be a genuine good guy who happens to be in a long distance relationship with Sherri who happens to live in Texas. While Tim is upfront with Naima and it is no secret to his friends and their co-workers that he is in a long distance relationship, Naima and Tim become close but deny there is anything other than friendship happening. Things start to unravel a little around Tim's birthday when he travels to Texas to see his girlfriend Sherri. While he is away Naima is on his mind as he texts her alot to let her know she is on his mind. When he gets back in town, things are a little awkward and when they have a heart to heart. Naima asks Tim a question about his time in Texas with his girlfriend and he answers honestly. This sets up the friends with benefits relationship into new territory and is a bumpy road for our couple. What is going to happen to this relationship and can they get it back on track, pre Texas????
