North Yorkshire, 1950s ? more stories of the Man from the Pru There is no doubt that post-war social progress is making itself felt in Delverdale, but it is never easy when one man refuses to use an indoor toilet and another builds a water closet in his back lane, only to have it demolished by a stolen car. But thanks to Matthew's work, everyone can rest assured in this beautiful corner of Heartbeat country.

Yes, I borrowed this because it's about an insurance agent and I am a huge nerd about insurance things. If you like cosy village stories, you might still enjoy it. It was all right, but perhaps a bit too cosy for my liking.
