‘Vampires and werewolves are so 2000. As in: over. Thanks to …Rae Rivers, we’re now totally hooked on witches.’ – No. 5 on Grazia SA’s ‘Ten Hot Things to Do List’

"Going to Ameera to find Hazel. Stealing the spell … You think you can pull it off?" he asked.
She nodded, not trusting herself to speak.
Just as she thought he'd kiss her, he reached for her jacket and said, "Then let's go."

A portal to another world has opened, unleashing dangerous creatures on earth. A dark witch is out for revenge. The stakes are high, a war inevitable.

One person can stop the madness. Jenna. She’s a Keeper to a powerful hybrid witch but she harbours a secret and if Jenna steps through the portal – seduced by the whispers of her hidden past – she may never return.

Fortunately, she has company… infamous Bennett brother and fiercely protective Keeper, Ethan. Their whip-cracking banter makes them perfect sparring partners in training, but how will they manage when their lives and everything they were born to defend are on the line?

When the battle lines are drawn, will Jenna and Ethan stand side by side – as friends, protectors, lovers … or as traitors?

Those who enjoy supernatural stories might be a little tired of the usual plethora of vampire and shifter ones so this series that revolves around witches and their fierce protectors known as Keepers might just pique your interest. Unfortunately I hadn't seen this recommended before so I come a little late but quickly managed to understand the basic premise. Whilst the Keepers protect those good witches who fight to maintain balance and anonymity there are unfortunately those who practise the dark arts in order to achieve greater power and that's really where this story begins.
The Bennett brothers defend Sienna Beckham, a powerful witch but recently they have been joined by Kate Carrigan , a hybrid witch and her Keeper, Jenna . Jenna has secrets and if discovered she knows her place amongst the Keepers would be taken away and yet her loyalty and magical bond to Kate is something hard wired into her. Training with the Bennett boys might be stressful at times but it's Ethan Bennett that really ignites a fire in Jenna. No she is so not going there as its too dangerous but what if Ethan is the only one that understands the threat they face from the vengeful witch Hazel. Hazel has opened a portal to Ameera which allows all sorts of nasties to come to Earth and going there is the only way to stop her. Yet there's a whole world of hurt waiting on the other side but can Jenna take a chance or will her hopes and dreams come crashing down?
I wish I'd discovered this series sooner and not now as it winds to a close. Now luckily there's a prequel that's free about Sienna so I'd recommend getting that if like myself you've missed out. If already a fan then you will be delighted to catch up with the Keepers and have fun seeing Ethan do his best to court the prickly Jenna. Jenna may try to maintain distance but her ways of distracting Ethan are certainly not helping! In fact everything she does just captures his attention more. Oh yes there is a lot of chemistry simmering away but Jenna's past history might just be a stumbling block that Ethan can't pass. There's a really good plot here and I so have to get the previous books but if you like a fast paced action fuelled story then this has it all. A race against time with twists you won't expect, harrowing moments and of course romance. I love the unusual covers this series has ( so different to the usual bare chested ones!) and happily recommend to my fellow lovers of paranormal romance

I would like to thank Harper Impulse for approving me to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I'm totally at a loss where to start with this review. If you follow me on Twitter or friends on Facebook you will know how much I love the series and feel like I've waited forever to read my favourite Keepers story. What an I say about Ethan that I haven already said about Archer and Declan? Ethan is a smouldering man of action but also the peacemaker between Declan and Archer.

Enter Jenna, mysterious Keeper to witch, Kate, who is also Declan's girlfriend. She challenges Ethan on a level he has never known before, earning himself the nickname 'Stud Muffin' which made me chuckle.

Jenna and Ethan's story is a roller coaster ride with loads of secrets, both of them have them but don't trust each other enough to share.

We see plenty of familiar faces in Archer, Sienna, Declan and Kate. Also, some new faces that I won't mention (cos they weren't very nice). There is witches, magic, werewolves, vampires and fantastic Keepers, what more can I ask for?

This story is intricately weaved that had me turning page after page to get to the end. I was up till 3am and left shattered with everything coming to an explosive conclusion or did it? Mmmm I'm hoping we will see more from the Bennett brothers, even if it's not as the main characters.

Rae threw in some massive twists and turns along the way, she had me gasping to catch my breath and crying on the next page. The only thing I will say is how could you Rae? I mean Archer! Want to know what I'm talking about then you need to read this fabulous book?

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This book can be read as a stand alone, but i think i would have benefitted from reading the first books into getting to know the other characters a little better.

However, i LOVED this book. It was really well put together, the characters were good, the world they lived in was explained well to the extent that you could really see how they lived and i felt totally immersed in the story, completely felt like i was there too.

It took me a little time to warm up to the story, but i am really glad that i gave this 'new to me' author a chance, i will certainly be looking for more of her work and will probably go back and read the other books in this series.

Totally worth reading and can't rate this book highly enough.

The conclusion to this series is fast paced, action packed and full of dark and light magic. The witchy stuff is rather fascinating and intriguing.

Ethan is the younger and quieter Bennett brother, but they do say that still water runs deep! There is a side of Ethan that is not projected in the previous books, and it's rather exciting.

Jenna is a Keeper with a secret. She is loyal to her cause, but fears that she might be misjudged for her true nature.

Ethan and Jenna have been dancing around each other, trying very hard to ignore the sizzling chemistry between them. When they are threatened by the dark magic whose leader is after dominance and vengeance, they start working closely together. They find themselves in an alternate dimension which proves to be dangerous at every corner. To be able to retain balance, they have to defeat the dark witch who is getting more and more daring to achieve her goal. Can she be stopped or will the revelation of Jenna's true nature put a spanner in the works?

I must admit that the twist at the end is a real surprise. The final battle is a little too "busy", but the outcome is well worth it. An enjoyable read.

I loved this book, the world building, the characters! I've started at the end though, so need to catch up with the other brothers. Is there anything sexier?

If you’re a fan of The Keepers series, you will have eagerly anticipated ‘The Keepers: Ethan, I’ve just finished reading and it doesn’t disappoint.
All the players assemble for the final apocalyptic battle and there are so many twists and turns it leaves you breathless. Jenna and Ethan circle around each other, the only two singles on the Bennett Wine estate, drawn together by proximity and the dangers they face, the passion is sensual and adds a delicious sizzle to this action packed story.
Jenna who we met in ‘The Keepers: Declan’ is kick ass and her independence attracts Ethan, who still bears the guilt of his sister’s demise. Ethan, quieter than his brothers, has a determined, powerful presence that attracts Jenna and makes her heart rule her head.
Their journey into Ameera is exciting and informative, and gives the series an important new dimension, which increases the suspense and excitement. Ameera is a dark world, full of lost and often dangerous creatures that live in anarchy, the danger to humanity lies here and Jenna and Ethan have to face it head on. The supernatural displays are vivid and easy to imagine and I couldn’t put this book down until I’d finished.
There is a dynamic, romantic ending to this unique series, with memorable characters that I’m sorry to leave.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Harper Impulse for a copy of this book via Netgalley.

After reading the rest of this series I was so excited to start this book. I love that Rae chose to focus more on one character for each book. It gave me a sense of really knowing the character.

This book focus' on Ethan and quite a bit on Jenna.

Ethan is sick of waiting for something to happen so he decides to try to find Hazel. He's been sneaking off on trips and not telling his brothers because he knows they won't approve. Ethan is usually the pacifier of the three brothers but he's sick of always being attacked and on the back foot.

Jenna is Kate's keeper and has been living with the brothers, Kate and Sienna for a little while. She knows she shouldn't fall for a fellow keeper, even more so because of her secret. It could rip them all apart.

Ethan and Jenna follow Hazel in to Ameera, another world where all sorts of monsters live.

I don't want to ruin the story so I won't say anymore but I have to say I thought I had this book all figured out and then Rae dropped a bombshell on me that I didn't see coming. Rae is very good at flipping the story and surprising the hell out of you.

I think this is the end of this series but I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Let me begin by saying that even though I have been lucky enough to have been able to read this novel from the beginning, I have noticed that the basic story itself is easy enough to follow even if this is your first time meeting the Keepers and their witches.

That being said, this was an epic conclusion to an amazing series. Everything came together beautifully - right down to the final showdown (which revealed a twist that I did not see coming)!! This story had everything that makes a story great - page turning action, romance and betrayal all woven together in a spectacular way. In fact, I was so caught up in this story that the night I received it - I stayed up past my bedtime and read nearly half before I finally managed to put my kindle down and go to sleep (and since I'm always honest, that only happened because my kindle went dead and my charger was in the other room).

One of the things I most enjoy about her writing is that it not only moves at a steady pace, but it also is detailed in such a way that you can see the action as it unfolds on the page. In fact, I have to say I would be first in line to watch if they ever turned this series into a movie.

I would highly recommend this novel (as well as this entire series) to anyone who enjoys a well-written and highly captivating story.

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

I've loved this series, it's the ultimate battle against good and evil. It's a thrilling ride of magic, danger, love & sexy characters. Ethan is the final brother to get his story & as much as i loved Archer' & Declan, i think Ethan finished the saga on a high. He's always been the quiet, laid back intermediary between his two other brothers, but in this book we finally meet the character behind the facade. Underneath that cool, calm exterior lurks emotions of volcanic proportions. His feelings for Jenna are fierce & hot & once he decides he's going to have her, nothing stands in his way, not even Jenna' secrets, of which she has a few. She's learned to hide who she is & where she comes from, even from the brothers that are like family to her. Both Ethan & Jenna know that as Keepers, their first loyalty is keeping safe the witches that they protect, but they can't walk away from finding the answers they seek & a chance to end the wicked witch Hazel. It's a race against time to stop the evil that is brewing & along the way there are battles galore, friends made, secrets revealed, questions answered, hearts broken, sexual attraction & fierce, burning passion. I would recommend you read the series in order to get maximum enjoyment.

I'm feeling bored and out of sorts. What do I do with myself after reading this amazing book? I read it while peeling potatoes and every spare moment the last few days.

Once again, Rae Rivers doesn't disappoint. She kept me gripped and enchanted throughout this amazing fantasy/paranormal adventure. The twists and turns and plot surprises were as good as a Harry Potter book. There's not a moment of boredom. Coupled to a steamy and touching romance with fleshed out, real characters is an adventure with amazing world creation. When, oh, when is this series coming out on TV? I mean it!! It so deserves it.

I'm very sad it's the last and I hope Rae writes more fantasy series.

If The Vampire Diaries and Divergent got together and had a book baby - then you have The Keepers:Ethan. But adult style and certainly all sexed up.
I'm so sad this wonderful series has ended!
