Rating: 4.5 stars

#1 Fan is the first book I have read by Andrew Hess. And I absolutely loved it. I ranted, raved, and cursed up a storm.

All of the twist and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I read this book straight through. It's 4:30am and I am just finishing it.

As I write this review, my vision is a bit blurry, and I can't stop yawning. So, to the author, "you. are. evil. No if, ands, or buts about it.

The book gripped me from the beginning. And now, I have to deal with a freaking cliffhanger

I just wanted to reach through my kindle and give Evan a good shaking. Ughh, he was so stupid. Some of the stuff he did was just crazy. But, I freaking loved it.

Now, I absolutely enjoyed this book, but I rated it 4.5 stars for a reason. One is the mother.

Everything she did and said pissed me off but while there are shitty paraents out there, everything she said and did just didn't feel realistic to me. I felt that some of it was a little over done when it came to her.

And the thing that just about had me about to break my kindle forreal was the blackmailing.

Oh my geez. I went off. I thought Evan gave in to easily. He didn't try to fight it at all. Like wtf? I was not happy with that. I don't want to spoil anything, so i'm leaving it here.

Over all #1 Fan was an captivating read. I truely loved it! I need to know what happens next. So I am so excited for the next book.

FANTASTIC!!!! I couldn't put the book down. I was engrossed in the book. It is fillwith twist and turns that you didn't see coming and didn't expect. I didn't see the plot twist coming neither. I got so mad and disappointed at Evan for what he did in the book. This book made me have a WTF face moments several times. I absolutely loved this book. I highly recommended reading this book even though Andrew Hess is the King Of Cliffhangers. You will enjoy reading it. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Andrew Hess.

Mixed emotions on rating this book. I felt the characters were pretty immature. To me it seemed like a lot of build up going no where, then bam! The end! Four starts just for the climax of an ending!

Evan is on the path to become famous. His agent decides that he needs to go on tour to promote his book. Little did Evan know that life on the road would be demanding. To get the public image that his agent wants, Evan also has a grueling workout schedule with a personal trainer. It appears the life of an author is not easy nor relaxing.

After the night at the club, Sara went to a book signing to get her favorite author’s signature and meet him. What Sara didn’t anticipate was Evan wanting to hang out with her.

With Evan gone for months at a time, Sara tried to keep a positive attitude and to trust Evan while he was on the road. Evan’s agent had other plans for him then letting him and Sara be happy together.

Can Evan and Sara overcome all the hardships of being on the road to make a loving life together or will the agent succeeding coming between them?

The story will captivate you and keep your attention all the way to the end. It will pull at all sorts of your emotions. At times I wanted to scream and yell at the stupidity of the characters yet other times I wanted to cry. The book has lots of twists and suspense with an ending that you will never expect. By the time you finish the book you will want to strangle Andrew for the ending however you will love the book and will anticipate the next book even more.

I have read several books by Andrew and love his writing style. He is the Master of Cliffhangers and keeps to his standard tradition with his endings. I love how he can manipulate the book and throw twists in that you will never see coming. I have enjoyed each book I have read by Andrew and will continue to read his books as they come out. You never know what to expect from him and this story holds true to that!

As the book starts, we find Evan at the college library looking for books to check out and dreaming of becoming a well known author. As he hears other students walking by and talking excitedly about a famous author that is signing books downstairs, he finds out that the author happens to be his favorite and hurries downstairs with hopes that he is not too late.
Fast forward Five years, Evan is living a miserable life at his parents house, still dreaming of becoming a famous author but also doing everything he possibly can to make that dream come true. He finds a literary agent that takes him on as a client, hires him a personal trainer and personal assistant to help him polish his image, then insists that he start touring to promote his first book. Evan was on cloud nine with his decision to tour the east coast...until he meets and falls for Sara.
I'm not going to ruin the story with spoilers, but when you read this book you will find yourself so immersed in the plot that you simply do not want to put the book down until you have finished reading. There were so many feels with unexpected, and shocking twists and turns, you will be asking yourself what the heck just happened?!?!
Andrew Hess is a new to me author so I didn't know what to expect when I began reading this book...I am now a fan and look forward to reading everything he has written.

Anyone who has ever wondered whether or not there is a soul mate in this world who will be their wingman and complete them and can handle the truth should read this book. I thought this was an easy to read well done book and the author's "voice" really came through well. His books are the kind of books that will foster your love for reading because they are so fantastically interesting! This was a book I could not put down and when it was over I shed a tear. I wanted more which is why the only negative thing I have to say about this book is, it was too short I wanted more of Evan and Sara. But you will finish this book knowing that you definitely got your money's worth! I love Sara's perspective on so many things. I love her style. To sum it up, fans of Andrew Hess will not be disappointed with this book. The book is personal, insightful and yet very romantic. There is no boring moment in the book and it has plenty of brilliant moments.
My favorite part of the book would have to be when Evan and Sara have their little disagreements. I won’t give away the book but you will see what I mean when you read it. I have to say as always Hess makes you feel like your right there with the characters. A spectacular read.

What the heck did i just read?!?!?! First off, that ending!!!! I loved the ending!! Totally didn't see that coming. What a great twist. The main characters kind of bothered me due to their jealousy. However, having said that, it felt like a real relationship based on true jealousy issues, not just a fabricated relationship like you find in some books. Therewere times that i wished i could have reached into the book and shake Evan & Sara. The storyline was captivating and by 25% in I was hooked. The secondary characters (Julie, Audrey, Mr. Waters) we really well developed. I felt like i could picture them clearly in my kind. A couple of spelling issues but nothing that challenged the flow of the story or the characters. This is my first book by Andrew Hess, I definitely recommend it and will definitely read more of his books!!!

What an interesting couple.... Evan and Sara.
Evan is an aspiring author who lives at home with parents who are...shall we say...less than supportive. One day out of the blue, his agent calls and wants him to go on a book tour, which of course he is happily to do. On the first leg of the tour, he meets Sara. She ends up at his book signing, and he ends up asking her out. As the relationship furthers, there is a lot of mistrust as well as a lot of miscommunication. Eventually Sara and Evan move in together, and he gets another tour.
This book had an ending that was great! ( of which I won't reveal)
Good read... I recommend it.

#1 Fan was an awesome book to read. I sure wish sleeping and working didn't get in the way of me reading this book. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this book and wondering what was going to happen next. I started out loving Evan but the farther I got into the book I wanted to scream at him and tell him how much of an idiot he was. I loved his relationsip with Sara but he needed to figure out how important she was! The cliff hanger in this book I NEVER saw coming. I cannot wait till the next book and I sure hope Evan redeems himself and becomes a favorite character again.
