Hooked & Cooked #2

Mobsters and Lobsters

Rate this book
Hannah Holiday knew it would be hard to get her great aunt’s ocean side cottage business booming again, but she didn’t know she would also have to deal with the mob. With guests arriving, Hannah thinks she is headed in the right direction to fulfill her dream. Until everything starts to go wrong. With the disappearance of a guest, Hannah searches for answers to keep her business afloat. Instead, she finds more questions that put her sister, Ruby, and Ruby’s daughter, Olivia, in grave danger. It only gets worse with the arrival of many less-than-respectable—but also interesting—guests, who all want to be first to find a buried treasure. Can Hannah, along with her neighbor, Jack, and handsome handyman, Cal, head off the approaching danger to Ruby and Olivia? When Ruby is forced to reveal a secret she’s been keeping for years, things look like they’re getting worse. Will Hannah be able to solve the buried treasure mystery before someone is buried in the process? Or will Hannah, herself, end up as the real prize for the mob? ***Mobsters & Lobsters is approx. 230 pages and is volume 2 in the Hooked & Cooked Cozy Mystery Series. Lyndsey’s books can be read and enjoyed in any order.

#2 in the series, yet Great Aunt Caroline is still very much present throughout. At the property of cottages she inherited from her Great Aunt Caroline in Hooks Harbor, Maine, Hannah and her sister, Ruby, are in the middle of trouble again when one of Hannah's guests goes missing, and it turns out that Ruby might know him and has been avoiding him. Plus, people keep showing up with copies of a treasure map that may or may not have been a prank set up by Great Aunt Caroline. Is there buried treasure? When another body turns up (this time, it is the guy Ruby knows), Hannah worries that the treasure is behind it all and decides to raffle off the original map to raise funds for the local library and perhaps flush out the murderer(s).

If you like reading a good book then this one is for you. Mobsters and Lobsters book #2 of Hooked and Cooked will have you on edge until the killer is caught. What Hannah Holiday got was a Seaside Resort and TROUBLE spelled in all large letters because the people that walked in had it written all over their faces. And Hannah had TROUBLE right off the bat with no snack bar opening, boat capsized with one dead and one missing what could go wrong? Well not long after that then Hannah found another died body and it just got worst there on out. Get the book to find out what happened next.

The Real Treasure from Father to Daughter.

5 gold stars for this book because you are pulled into the story from the ever begining. Lyndsey Cole has another great series Hooked and Cooked, with Hannah Holiday and her family and friends by her side what could go wrong running a Seaside Resort. This book I would recommend to older young adults and adults.

Hannah inherits her Aunt Caroline’s place that consists of 4 cottages to rent and a snack bar. Her aunt also left a map to a buried treasure and everyone wants the map, I only meant to start book and the next thing I knew, I had finished it.

Didn't see that coming

Definitely not what I expected. Great Aunt Caroline was a smart lady. She made sure a lot of loose ends where tied up before she passed away.

I'm hooked on a hooked & cooked cozy mystery

Hannah is getting ready to reopen the cottages when she gets caught in the middle of another murder investigation. Cal, Ruby, Jack, Olivia and Meg are all back in this book 2 along with a few other crazy characters. Fun mystery, also an ongoing story line and great characters make this a great read.

Kindle Unlimited, lot of stuff going on in these stories, although most never makes sense and some just hurts, as in cardboard characters and situations.

New cozy mystery series

Excellent.
This series has it all.
A bit of humor, a bit of future relationships, many many twists and turns, some strong characters that continue from one book to the next and unexpected silliness.
Great read!
