Demetrius “Danger” Gallo I’m too rough for her. I’m coarse. Untamed. Brutal. I’m a dangerous man. The things I want to do to her… Things like that should never be done to a girl like her. If it weren’t for the fact I need her hacker skills for this job, I wouldn’t allow her anywhere near me. Because fighting my urges, well, that’s not easy for a man like me. Kiera Quill I’m a virgin, but I’m not a prude. It’s only that I’ve got rules. My work comes first. I'm here to rescue a woman from the mob. He's here to kill a man. We're busy. Anyway, he doesn’t think of me that way. He treats me like a kid sister—one who can’t get anything right. He might be massive and masculine, with a deep, rumbling voice that gives me shivers. But that doesn’t mean that I’m attracted to him or anything. Because if I were, things could get rough.

ARC Review

Oh, how I love a good hitman romance, and this is a good one. A group with very specific skills come together to bring down a very bad man and his ring of crime. Saving a group of women being held for human trafficking. There is way more to the story, but you will have to read it. This story is thrilling and very dramatic. I highly recommend it.

Good book. Demetrius got a little annoying constantly pushing Kiera away and whatnot but still pretty good.
I liked them doing an oceans 11 type thing where they brought together a group of experts to help rescue a bunch of girls from the Russian mob.
I wished there had been more of ‘Danger’ and Kiera together and not arguing, if only to show another side of them both and that they could be really good together.
I think I’ll be reading the next ones and maybe hoping for another one.

Kiera and Danger

I had to read Kiera and Danger story even though these are meant to be read alone I was very curious about Keira story, she is a young girl who is vibrant who is an IT hacker genius. Demetrius aka Danger is in love with her and don’t understand why or how. He keeps pushing her away and doesn’t even understand why he is doing it. This book is a page turner I was hooked

Loved this book. It’s everything I enjoy reading about the mafia or those type of stories. The storyline was exciting and entertaining and had a but of everything. Loved the characters as well, they likable and well suited. A very enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this book but it didn't have a lot of action in it like the first book. I wanted more fighting or gun shooting, maybe a kidnapping. It was an easy read and everything flowed brilliantly. I loved how Keira stood up to Danger and she didn't show that she was afraid of him. Even though he kept pushing her away, he just couldn't stay away! Their relationship was wrought with challenges and Keira passed every time and she pushed him to his limits but in the end they both came to the same conclusion that the were right for each other, even if it did take a while for Danger to see he was worthy of love!
Cass and Ambrose were nice little side characters too.
I would like to see Blaze in a next book and be brought down his equal counterpart?

This book had too little action for me compared to the first book. The majority of the focus was on the two main characters and I feel like more explanation should've been given to the actual plot line. It seems like the major action of the book was just over and done with too quickly.

So the hero is not rough. They work together and he's had a crush on her for a while. They keep arguing.

They do a job together and the sexual tension finally boils over.

I loved this book so much that I actually am writing a review (it's my first one). What did I love?? Well, the banter between the two main characters is hilarious; definitely my favorite part about the whole book! The writing is sharp, quick, and realistic. Maybe that's what made it so good for me, just that touch of a realism. Don't misunderstand, nothing about the lives of these characters is close to what normal lives are like; well at least not mine. Yet, the banter between Demetrious and Kiera makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of it all. Boy does it cause them some troubles! He's totally overprotective and domineering which rubs independent and fiesty Kiera the wrong way. Thank you V.J. Chambers for giving me two book characters that are so much fun to spend time with.
