Pagano and Picket present step-by-step instructions to bring your Legos to life with stop motion animation. The Lego Animation Book is a great guide to not only beginner but advanced Lego Animators. The book explores the entire filmmaking process from concept storyboards to lighting, special effects, set design, and camera recommendations. Detailed pictures accompany well-written text making this book secretly educational. Stop motion animation inspires a new approach to Lego play in line with STEM curriculum. The hands-on manipulation of Lego paired with the technology of animation is challenging and appealing for readers of all ages.

Son is over the moon to have gotten the ARC of this new LEGO book. He and his friend had too much fun paging though it together. It's a fun way to spur imagination and "get behind the scenes" a bit. Perfect gift for a LEGO-lover!

Do you have a lego fan in your life? Lego sets can be expensive and it’s also hard to remember which sets a lego fan has. Why not spark their imagination with this great animation book.

It was pretty good, except it was a little repetitive at times. I learned a lot about animating though.
