Fighting Free #2

Caught by Her

Rate this book
She impressed me
She intrigued me
She captivated me

I’m consumed by her, but I can’t afford the risk of loving her. I repeat this like a mantra in a valiant attempt to make myself believe the words.
And I did, until I almost lost her. Until I was forced to admit what she means to me.

Am I willing to gamble on love? Knowing how quickly the world can be turned upside down, how everything you thought you had safely within your grasp can suddenly get snatched away…

Tormented by my past, I know I run the risk of destroying my future.
Then the present forces me to fight for her - secrets, lies, threats and betrayal, a potent mixture for heartbreak and hurt…

But whoever wants my girl needs to get through me first, I protect what’s mine, and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

GL Chapple is a girl that always loved to read and write and promised herself that, one day, she’d have a book bearing her name on her shelf. Living in South Wales with her husband and two young children, she’s a thirty something stay at home mother.
She spends a great deal of time at the beach, despite the welsh weather! And loves hot and sunny days…which we never get enough of…
She will read almost anything and really only become enamoured with romance at the end of 2014, however, since then, she hasn’t looked back.

GL Chapple's debut book released in November, Freed by Him and the second part released in March, titled Caught by Her.

Her next release is almost ready and is available to add to your TBR Now - Free Falling. This is a standalone, spin-off from the Fighting Free series and can be read independently of the first two books.

*** ARC kindly provided by the author for an honest review. ***

4 stars!
Review to come on release day.

** This book is not a standalone and you have to read Freed by Him first. **

Hopefully I got the chance to read Freed by Him and then Caught by Her right away, because after the stunt of the first one … Damn cliffhanger! Bam!

After a stunning first novel and cliffy, I couldn’t not read the next book. In the first one, Lena and Nate world’s collided for the better and the worse. Nate this time was the one who was sinking, stubborn and oblivious to the obvious.

When you almost lost the one you love, how are you going to react? Fighting for it or running away? Once again, the turmoil of emotion was still there, intense and passionate!

G.L. Chapple hit once again straight to the heart. All the feels! I can’t seem to believe that it was her second novel! Written with so much passion about two people who built so big walls and not willing to break free. Is Lena and Nate willing to let it go and step out of their comfort zone?

I have to say that there was a very lasting part about Nate, fighting and conflicted about his feelings. One step forward and then two step backwards. Even if I really became a fan of G.L Chapple's writing, I was pretty surprised by Nate's behavior. I understood his feelings but to me it was a little bit pushed too far ... and I wanted to shake him! Between his fear of losing Lena and his family's issues, everything was kinda messed up. He was so caught by Lena that the possibility of losing her leaded him to be closed off, not the Nate people usually knew.

In this book, Lena was incredibly stronger than before, thanks to Nate. She's a fighter and even she had to push Nate, she wasn't willing to let it go. And I liked it a lot! She bared her soul to him, when he wasn't doing the same but for once she felt loved and cherished. Even if his attitude was sometimes between hot and cold, this guy is going to be her future, with some obstacles in the way for sure, but I knew as well that they meant to be. I loved the changes in her character, how love could really overcome everything. It was an interesting part.

I enjoyed how you could go through hard and difficult moments to the hottest ones, a burning desire over the top, with a huge part of steam that gonna make you blush ... a lot! Nate is really the man, and it was hot! oh la la ... Lena was really a lucky women there! I can't deny it, the author knows how to bring the heat!

After some long, long part about Nate denying his feelings, (I might held my breath for a long moment here), I almost screamed FINALLY!!!! (I did actually) when he got his head out of the sand! The author was increasing the intensity of their love story, making go through a lot of things and with an incredible ability to make things work, and giving you a huge freaking smile at the end! I swooned, I almost cried, I was a lot frustrated but at the end, I was utterly happy for Lena and Nate!

Thanks again for writing such a moving and beautiful story! I can't wait to read more books by G.L. Chapple!

Lena and Nate's conclusion story is a mental and emotional marathon for the pair. Both being emotionally guarded, when both thrust into situations where life is taken for granted true feelings come to surface.

Nate struggling to accept his feelings after his last heartache and Lena on the opposite end of the spectrum almost with trying to reign herself back from putting her entire self into s relationship so far, she no longer recognises herself.

Excerpt:
I refused to allow myself to be like that...I needed to hold onto my independence and my strength, they were what made me.

With an emotionally charged and action packed storyline, I promise you will be captured into this free flowing, page turner from GL Chapple.

Excerpt:
Without love you're not living; you're just existing.

Five star read for GL Chapple and I can't wait to see what comes next from this amazing author.

Final and favourite excerpt:
If you want a love that will last a lifetime you need to fight for it; you need to prove you're worthy of it...
Love can be terrifying...but it's also exhilarating and incredible.
...Bombs, billets and criminals don't make you feel as vulnerable as your own emotions...

“My world, my life, my happiness all revolves around you sweetheart, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

OMG! GL Chapple has done it again…

Nate and Lena! I love these two together.

This book starts where the last one finishes, and it’s a fast paced ride from start to finish. GL Chapple completely blew me away with this duet, this has so many twists and turns you think
you’re on a chicane.

She broke my heart, stamped on it and then put it back together again, all before 40%. I couldn't wait for this book to release. I just had to have it and get the conclusion to Nate and Lena's story. I loved and hated him all at the same time, but....boy, does that man make swoon.

“I should have told you before now, but I’ll tel you and show you every single day how much I love you, Lena. You’re not just my princess, you’re my whole goddamn world and one day I’m gonna make you my queen, and I’ll be the luckiest guy that ever lived.”

Nate Masters and Lena his ‘Warrior princess’ will take you on a journey of love, suspense, betrayal and heartbreaking twists and turns that will make you laugh, cry and feel every known emotion. I'm not giving away any spoilers for this book. This a MUST READ!! I's just AWESOME!!
I have well and truly been ‘MASTERED’.

I can’t wait for book 3 in the fighting free series when we get Marcus’ book that will be one to look out for!

Amazing follow up to Freed By Him....
When you read a book that consumes you and you just can't put it down because you MUST keep going to find out the next part.
Well that was this book for me, the twists and turns for some of them they were a shock and I just couldn't believe my eyes, I was kept glued to this book.

For the second book this was amazing I really can't fault a single thing GL Chapple has such a way of luring you in then throwing curve balls you just didn't see coming and that's what I like about her writing she's not predictable.

I have really loved the dynamics of Nate & Lena In these 2 books and the growth of them and the difficulties they have come over has been brilliant to watch them develop into their own.

Like Lena, I can totally and completely say
I HAVE BEEN MASTERED !!!!

5 beautiful and well deserved stars.

Can give nothing less then 5 ✮✮✮✮✮'s for Nate ‪#‎GetMastered‬

Since before Christmas I've been pestering Gemma to write faster, and faster, Caught by Her is the conclusion of Nate & Lena's story in Freed by Him, you do have to read the first book as it end's on the mother of all cliffies, I think my heart actually left my chest!!! I'm not going to bang on about characters, you've read the first book you already know Nate is hot as hell and Lena packs a punch.

You redeemed yourself young lady, Caught by Her picks straight up where Freed by Him left off, and continues Nate and Lena's story of struggles on the path to their HEA, don't get me wrong they get their HEA but it doesn't come drama free, and there is drama of the worst kind, I had no clue what was going to happen, you got me good Gem! It has a plot twist beyond plot twist, my heart was literally squeezed to death and ripped out and tossed with the tissues that were over flowing in my bin.

Gem you killed it! what a fantastic conclusion, the writing was on point and I couldn't find a single fault apart from.... When are we getting Marcus or Maddie's story, or even Marcus and Maddie's story?!

wow!!! What a wild, intense and emotional journey that was!! Be still my beating heart!

I was so lucky to receive an ARC of this book and I couldn't wait to start it having in mind how the previous one ended. I was desperate to see where this story would lead Lena and Nate and what the talented G.L. Chapple had for them. I couldn't stop reading for a moment and I finished it in one day. That sure has to say a lot about the crazy development of events in this one. Intense, emotional, heart-breaking, heart-warming, steamy hot and completely stealing your breath away...

Nate Masters - he was such a controversy of emotions in the beginning. I wanted to shake him real badly and hug him at the same time. He did have a hard time dealing with the strength of his feelings, his past colliding with his present, making him vulnerable, insecure and questioning everything.
He was such a dirty talker, but then he goes and throws lines like this, that just melt your heart...
"I wanted to touch every inch of her, caress and savour her,
etch this vision into my mind forever of her lying here in front of me, open, trusting and undeniably beautiful."

Lena Nicholls - although she went through so much, she still stayed firmly grounded and always the strong warrior we used to know her to be. She was so brave, but at the same time she let herself break a little, feel a little, love a little and simply be loved...

There was anger, and fear, and angst, and lies, and deceit, and everything was crumbling around them out of control. You barely have time to take a breath, because the whirlwind of emotions completely consumes you. Events are happening one after another in a maddening pace and you hardly have time to come up for air. And before you know it, you've hit THE END, and it's the saddest feeling ever to have to say good-bye to those characters you come to love, but at the same time there is this feeling of contentment and uttermost joy to see how far they've come...

So thank you Gemma Chapple for this emotional roller-coaster and now patiently (or maybe not so patiently) waiting for Marcus's story!!! The guy just grew under my skin and I can't wait to see what you have for him!!!

p.s Gramps' "pearls of wisdom" just rocked :P I love this old man <3
p.s.2 That cover is just a killer ;)

Caught by Her is the second book in this series gravitating around Lena and Nate.

Starting right after Lena's accident, Nate has some difficulties to accept the feelings he has for Lena and let's just say that he has his own way to deal with it.
Lena on the other hand doesn't understand what has happened to change Nate's behaviour so drastically...

Both characters here are full of surprises, and I must say that one of the things I LOVED the most in this book was the "real life" feeling I had all along. They are not sugar coated, don't live in a mansion with unicorns, they do every day things together, talk like I would talk to my husband...

Their complicity was flagrant and so refreshing. Lena's actions, even if you won't agree with every thing she does, were funded and appropriate. I'm referring here to Nate's brother.

The only negative thing I could say is that I found the first part of the story, when Nate has to wake the fuck up and unstuck his head out of his ass, a wee bit too long.
The second part though, was unexpected and so good! Every thing happened so fast and seriously was REALLY well written, it felt like I was watching a movie. It was crystal clear!

I really enjoyed being immersed in Nate and Lena's lives and I can not wait to read about Marcus!

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the second book in this series and it didn't disappoint. This picks up right where Gemma left us hanging from the first book! Luckily I didn't have to wait to read this book :) Gosh where do I even begin? This book was a bit emotional with the obstacles that were thrown at Nate and Lena. I wanted to smack Nate in the beginning of the book. He was acting like an indecisive girl. I wanted to strangle Jonathon and Clarissa. You always knew they were evil little leeches, but you really got to see their true colors fly in this. Lena was her badass self standing up for her man and I wanted to give her a big hug. My heart broke for Marcus and I'm looking forward to reading about his story next. I am also dying to know what's going on with Maddie and her boyfriend... or not boyfriend? She seemed to avoid the subject and I wanted to head butt Lena for being oblivious, when it was clear that something was off.

Gemma has a way of drawing you in and looks to be a promising writer. She sure knows how to spin a story and keep you intrigued. I'm already a huge fan and cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us next!

The conclusion to Nate and Lena’s story, and a great one at that. I was all twisted and tied up from all the angst, drama, and swooning. But beyond the regular added ingredients to a romance novel there was a very good story that I truly enjoyed.

The characters in this book are developed rather well, you’re not only invested in Lena and Nate’s story but their friends too. I can only hope that Miss Chapple will write more about them, maybe preferable about Marcus.

So much was covered in this book and although a few times I found both Lena and Nate to be a little bit stubborn, they were also pretty stellar. From begining to end in this book you watch them change, take charge, and for the better move on from certain things that might bring them down.

Miss Chapple’s debut novel was the first in this series and although it was a great read for a first book this one got even better. I highly recommend this book and the series. Be sure you read Freed by Him first though and then this one as they are a two part series.

Thank you again, G.L. Chapple for giving me the honor of reading an ARC for my honest review. I look forward to more from you, and wish the VERY best.

Caught By Her is the sequel of Freed By Him and it starts where the first novel ends.
I was really curious to know where this story would have brought Lena and Nate and I wasn't disappointed at all. It taught me to never surrender to the evil in your life and to always fight for love.
I think I have found a new favorite author that caught me with her beautiful writing.

How much trouble and heartbreak can one couple go through before one, the other, or both of them break? Lena and Nate have been through a lot in the first part of this series, Freed by Him, but fate is not done yet with either one of them, and things get worse in Caught by Her before they get better.

“My world, my life, my happiness all revolves around you sweetheart, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Caught by Her, the continuation of Freed by Him, took unexpected turns throughout the story. I remember reading book one and thinking I knew exactly where this story was taking me, only to be taken by surprise at every turn. Picking up exactly where book one left off, a distraught Nate was confronted with his worst nightmare, which sends him into a tailspin. He pulled away from the one person who he loves more than anything, not knowing how to deal with his demons, hurting Lena badly in the process.

"Sometimes relationships don't work, and the only option is to walk away"

Both Lena and Nate were two of the most stubborn characters I’ve met in a while. Neither one of them are willing to put their issues aside first and work things out. Instead they preferred to ignore their issues. There was a whole lot of miscommunication, jealousy, and mistrust between them for a while, which, while understandable is quite frustrating at times. I was definitely over the moon once they got their shit together, with the help of their friends, and finally communicated, working out their issues.

“Don’t be a coward when it comes to her. Love isn’t the wonderful, sweet romance that you hear about in fairytales. It’s not for the fainthearted. Love requires guts and determination. If you want a love that will last a lifetime you need to fight for it; you need to prove you’re worthy of it.”

Caught by Her was a great continuation for the series. I loved both Nate—the perfect alpha, yet flawed in his strength and protectiveness—and Lena—her strength, independence, and intelligence. They were perfect for each other, balancing each other out. I was further extremely happy to see how much the writing improved from book one. I couldn’t put this book down and cursed life whenever I had to.

This was an amazing story and I can’t wait to see what G.L. Chapple comes up with next. This is definitely an author to watch out for in the future.

I don't know where to start this review. There's so much to say, but too few words to express the impression this book made on me. It made an impact on my heart from the start. Then it nearly cleaved it in two, before finally stitching it back together.
If you haven't read the first book, I strongly urge you to do so.
The gamut of emotions this story made me go through was nothing short of exhausting. By the end, I was a complete teary mess. It's not attractive at all to cry the way I did, so it's a good job I wasn't in public.
Lena and Nate are amazing characters, but in this book - more so than book one - I fell for Marcus too. It's all well and good writing strong main characters but if your secondary characters feel more like something to fill the story rather than a real part of it, then that turns me off. I can tell you honestly, that didn't happen with Caught By Her. There was a whole host of secondary characters that impacted on me in different ways. But Marcus really stands out from the crowd and I am so glad he gets his own story next month.

I really want to say how beautifully this story was written. There was so much going on, and it was done so well. My words would never do it justice, you just have to read it for yourself and see what I mean.
GL Chapple doesn't fail to amaze and surprise the reader. There was a point where I sat for 30 minutes straight with a hard lump in the back of my throat and saliva in my mouth as I felt the urge to be sick. My poor old heart strings were tangled in a complete mess. I ugly cried, unabashedly, as I got to around 80%. So warning: have a pack of tissues ready.
GL Chapple is a talented author, of that, there is not a trace of doubt. I think if it came to it, I'd read her shopping list.
I can't wait for more wonderful stories from her and I can definitely say I am a fan for life.

Caught by Her is the follow up novel to Freed by Him. We were left with such a cliffhanger that I was on pins and needles waiting for Caught by Her to come out. It picks up right where FBH left off. Ms. Chapple wrapped up all loose ends perfectly in this novel, but still left us wanting more. I Definitely found myself wanting to see Lena and Nate appear in more books in the series.
This story had me feeling so many emotions right along with Lena and Nate. I definitely went through a few tissues, laughed out loud, felt the stress, suspense, anxiety, joys and devastation that the story brought about. Each twist and turn to the story had me wondering how Nate and Lena were going to survive and find their happiness. It had the right combination of sexy and suspense. It was so well written, kept me intrigued as to what was going to happen next. This was a definite page turner!
Lena is strong and independent. She has seen her share of sadness, heartbreak and hurt. This has only served to make her stronger. Will she be able to break down the walls she has constructed and give in to Nate?
Nate is a definite alpha male who will do anything to protect those he cares about. He has been hurt in the past and will do anything to protect himself. Will he be able to keep denying himself a chance to be happy by denying his heart?
I also enjoyed getting to know the supporting characters of Marcus, Nate’s police partner and best friend, and Maddie, Lena’s best friend. I hope that they will also have their stories told.
I am definitely looking forward to more novels in the Fighting Free Series.

I was so excited to get an early copy of this book! I quite enjoyed Freed by Him, and that ending had me desperate for this book, to see how it all turned out! This book was great! I have to give it some major props for actually making me shed a tear. I am not really a crier, but this story got me right in the feels!

Caught by Her started off surprising me. I was honestly pretty shocked that Nate started acting so standoffish about his and Lena's relationship. I mean, I understood his reasoning, to an extent, but I thought it was a jerk move, especially considering how he pushed Lena to get closer to him in the first place. I felt bad for Lena having to deal with his sudden emotional distance. I ended up being pretty darn impressed with Lena though. She had really grown as a character from the previous book. I truthfully thought that her vulnerability in this book made her stronger than ever, and I appreciated that.

While I was rooting for these crazy kids to figure things out, something spectacular started happening, some of the secondary characters really came to life. There was some really interesting things going down on the sidelines, it definitely made me want to see some of them step into the limelight next *cough* Marcus *cough* Just sayin. I thought Lena and Nate's story ended perfectly. I'm honestly REALLY HOPING that Chapple continues on with this set of characters! I'd love to read more about them.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that this is only GL Chapple's second book! Her writing is outstanding and unbelievable and seriously, it's only book two!!! With her first book, we got to meet Nate and Lena, two people who, despite what their heads tried to tell them, finally followed their hearts and took us on an emotional journey that ended in a shocking colliding cliffhanger that was off the charts!

When we meet back up with our couple, it's devastating to know that they're not on the best of terms. Nate is furious at Lena for the events of the last book. You get so invested into these characters, their lives and their families, that when trouble comes knocking on their doors and they invite it in, unintentionally, you just feel everything with them. Between heartache, lies, and family members out to cause havoc, Lena and Nate are about to face some of their biggest challenges yet.

But our warrior princess and our knight in shining armor are so much tougher than circumstance gives them credit for. They soon find that despite the trials and tribulations they face, happiness and peace will follow; with a little help from their friends of course!

This book was definitely one that I couldn't put down. I love when a couple has to fight for themselves and their love and they overcome obstacles. Nate's brother, Lena's stalker, and one hell of a very emotional chapter or two that leaves one of our heroes fighting for their life, could not stop the beautiful HEA that GL Chapple gave our protagonists. The only thing I didn't like? That there want more to read!

Caught by Her is the captivating, consuming conclusion to Freed By Him. I thoroughly enjoyed the second part to Nate and Lena's story. I was hooked from the very beginning, GL's writing improved by a mile in this book, creating a more solid, addicting read.
My connection to Lena built in this book, I struck cords with her and loved her strength at times and felt for her when she was down. Gone was the need to shake her. I just wanted to be her friend.
My love for Nate also sky rocketed. I mean Holy Alpha Batman.. I though he was hot before but jeez GL has managed to make him even more so in this book.. His moody, possessive persona rocked my world.
This book also seemed to develop the side characters more too which I thought was a great add on to the story. My heart broke for Marcus. He's getting a book right?! *crosses fingers*
Filled with twists and turns and manipulative relatives caught by her is a fast paced read that fully grabbed my attention and held it to the end.
This is a super conclusion to the story and it's clear to see the improvement in GL's writing and her attention to detail. I look forward to any future works she writes as I believe she'll just get better and better.

First of all, if you haven’t read Freed by Him, the first book in the Fighting Free Series, you need to read it now! Not just because you need to read it before reading this one, but because it’s just that good. Even though I read Freed by Him when it came out, I reread it before starting this book and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time.
Where do I start? I absolutely loved this book and this series. I fell in love with Lena and Nate and I really wanted them to get their HEA. If only it was that easy!
Characters are a big part of any book; you either have to love them or hate them and I definitely loved or hated all the characters in this book. Every character had a part to play in Lena and Nate’s story, and I can’t imagine it without a single one of them. Although I must admit, I did have a lot of trouble remembering who was who because there are a lot of characters, but that’s a little thing in my eyes.
Caught by Her is one of those books that you can’t put down, yet you don’t want it to end. I was sad when I finished it. Although this is the conclusion to Lena and Nate’s story, I don’t feel like it’s the end. Or maybe I just don’t want it to be the end. I also want Marcus to have his own HEA.

***** 5 AMAZING STARS *****

First I have to say you need to read Freed By Him - Book 1 of this series, as this is the conclusion from Book 1..... OMFG I've been dying for Book 2, as soon it hits my kindle - Yes I did a happy dance!!!

Took me a while to write this review, as its just one of those that I need to process my thoughts. It's just an AMAZING, BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN. Yes I did read this in one setting with a bottle of red wine, holy shit I was so fricking glad that my glass wasn't nearby my kindle!! And yes - I'm not ashamed to say that I did a re-read in the next following days just in case that I've missed anything. (Glad to say its even better 2nd time round!)

Plots & twists that I so didn't see it coming!! My all time favourite as it keeps me glued to my kindle, I love reading Lena & Nate's story, didn't want it to end but like all good things do have to end at some point! Gramps - I love him!!

I received an ARC for an honest review

The story takes off where book one ended. Lena was in a car accident and Nate heard it all happening. Every scream, crunch and cry that came over the phone only reminded him of how much Lena meant to him and how he couldn't imagine losing her.

Part two was a tear jerker. Scratch that. It was a goddam ugly cry with snot running down my face while tears ran like waterfalls causing a lake in my reading spot. There was so much life altering events in this book that it has you floundering to catch up. I felt like I was there myself. The author makes you fall in love with each and every character before pulling the rug out from under you. The choices that have to be made by Nate, the time for forgiveness that seems near impossible, and the moment where everyone's life changes irrevocably by one moment had me glued to each page not willing to put it down until I found out just what happens next.

Everyone struggles in this book in more ways than one. I hope there is more and I hope to read the other characters stories also.

5 star Conclusion of Nate and Lena's Fabulous Love

Nate and Lena fight their way to overcome every obstacle placed in front of them. Their feelings for one another are tested several times as trials and heartbreak rain down on them. They have to learn that life is fleeting and you absolutely MUST grab on and not let go.

I was a mess of emotions as I read while Nate and Lena dealt with all that life threw at them. I was furious with that awful Clarissa and nasty Jonathon. I fell more in love with Gramps. I was devastated and crushed, heart broken and healed right along with Nate and Lena as life tried to ruin all their hard won growth. We find out just what Nate will do to keep Lena safe and just how fierce she is to protect Nate. They prove that love will conquer all.

This book was an amazing journey and I am still amazed that is only book number TWO for the fabulously talented GL Chapple. I see great things in her future and I look forward to reading all of her words.

I won the arc of this book and was so excited to read it I went back and re read freed by him just so didn't miss anything.
At the start I hated Nate masters for treating Lena how he did after the crash pushing her away when she needed him the most. As the book goes on my emotions about Nate were all over the place I loved him but hated him at the same time. Lena was the warrior princess that didn't want to let anyone in and she fell in love hard and fast for Nate the passion between them was smoking hot .

Nate has his own struggles with his brother Johnathon and his wife Clarissa this had me in tears just shows you family is not always blood Maddie Kelly and Marcus show this time and time again.
And Gramps well wot can I say I was laughing my head of with his antics and Like any grandparent his words of wisdom and straight talking was spot on.
G l chapple u have done it again had me laughing crying and so caught up In the book it was fantastic can't wait to read the next one

This is the anticipated 2nd book in this series and one that gives you the answers that you need after the first book.

This couple have not had an easy time, and after the way the last book ended, you are wanting and rooting for this couple.

Lena is a strong and independent woman and has made herself this way after what happened at University. She finds herself so conflicted when it comes to Nate Masters. She is not wanting to release control of her life to him. But love does funny things to people and it can make you stronger.

Nate, is a man that doesn't want to get burned again and he is trying to put Lena at arms reach, but as events happen he is finding this harder to do.

This read is full of revelations, ones that you don't see coming. Secrets revealed and when you think you know who the danger is coming from, you are surprised as it takes another turn.

Another great read for this author.

***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

Nate is seething and heartbroken, but totally in love with Lena through all the ups and downs they come to face. He doesn’t know how to deal with his raw emotions, leading him on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Lena is and always will be Nate’s “warrior princess”. She’s been through the wringer of life, yet still stays strong and won’t allow herself to give up.

Heartbreak and lies may shatter them, but will they overcome the odds, when their enemies try to break them? A beautiful story of passionate love between two people that were destined for each other!

3.5 Stars

The conclusion to Lena and Nate's story was an emotional rollercoaster. Action, mystery, angst, anger, frustration, heartbreak, love, and passion - this book had it all. My heart soared during the sweet highs and was utterly shattered during the lows. Chapple takes you on quite a ride.
Nate and Lena continue to grow, learning what it is that is important to them. Their journeys as individuals, and as a couple, are bumpy and full of twists and turns. It was interesting to see how they dealt with everything that was happening. I was invested in these characters and this story. I needed to know what was going to happen! Chapple has effector set up a few side characters to have their own storylines. Hopefully we will see more of this group in the future.

ARC REVIEW

The second book and the conclusion to Nate & Lena's story was well written and kept my gripped all the way.

The chemistry and passion between Nate & Lena was burning strong and the hot scenes were scorching. The twists in this book had me on edge, I cheered, cried and laughed throughout. The special bond between Marcus & Nate was stronger than ever, I hope will get to hear about Marcus's Happy ending in the future.

Loved reading about Gramps, Maddie & Kelly and the amazing friendships they all have.

Nate was a player and had built the walls up around him but brick by brick they came down and he opened up for Lena but would she let him in all the way ?
Would the past finally destroy them and those around them ?

I great ending that leaves some areas open for further books ~ I cannot wait for more from GL Chapple

GL Chapple’s follow up to Freed By Him is absolutely beautiful and amazing and left me teary eyed and happy. Lena and Nate’s story is full of every emotion imaginable, and they don’t stop until the very last page.

Nate is pissed off, heartbroken, but totally in love with Lena from beginning to end. He has so many mixed emotions about current and past events, and they’ve taken him on a wild ride to say the least.

Lena is the epitome of the nickname Nate gives her “warrior princess”. She’s been through it all, and still stays strong no matter what life throws at her.

Heartbreak and lies may shatter their existence, but will they overcome and get the HEA they so desperately want and deserve? Enemies try to break them, but they have their family and friends to back them up. A beautiful story of passionate love between two people that were destined for each other!

I received an ARC from author in exchange for an honest review.

Caught by Her continues off right where Freed by Him ended.

The author did a great job with the conclusion of this two book series. The story flowed the characters are well developed.

I loved learning more about Nate and Lena. There are some really hot scenes, the chemistry between the two flys of the pages. There are some really sad parts of the story.. this book took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions.. I laughed, I got mad and I cried.

Nate and Marcus have an unique bond, it was nice to see more of that. I really want to learn more about Marcus, and the other characters. The secondary characters stood out to me just as much as Nate and Lena. I love gramps, he was one of my favorites.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
