Picked this up in a charity shop to learn about local history, but as it happens the Saint whose name is ubiquitous around here isn’t as firmly connected to the area as his legacy has become. Still, it was interesting, well written & illustrated. A good overview of a significant character in Anglo Saxon history.

I probably come with a somewhat unique perspective when reading this book, I have done a St Chad tour of Lichfield with the author. It’s out of that that I was leant this book. A great read it is too, filled with history in its meager pages but also an obvious love for the gospel and a real spirit lead prose, brings us to love Christ more.
