An angry pyromaniac, a sweet tree hugger, a bipolar eidetic, and an ornery mind reader get kidnapped. We've all heard the story of Princesses getting kidnapped, then the knight in shining armor comes to the rescue and saves the day. Blah, blah, blah. Well, in Elemental Kidnapping by Bridget Tolle, Princesses do get kidnapped. Four in fact. They're taken to a cold, gray, and uninteresting place. But these aren't your ordinary, defenseless, Princesses. They all have the power to control one of the four elements - fire, earth, air, or water. Their personalities don't aid the situation. Fire is easily angered. Earth loves everyone and everything. Air changes according to the season. Water is silent most of the time. Will anyone help them? Can they manage to coexist without causing another War to break out? Let's see.
This is a very imaginative and well written story that will appeal to readers of all ages . When you consider it is the first book written by a new teenage author it is especially impressive!
