This book...In a nutshell...

description

...Or rather, I should say:

THE KRISTEN ASHLEY IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE, SMUTTERS

Like for realzzzzzzz.

Now, this has always been the case with ARR, mind you - of which I am VERY aware -but it was super ridiculous-obvious with this one.

Like LOL ridiculous-obvious.

description

Some example snippets for your perusal...

"'Give me your eyes, beautiful...'

'I've been breathing easy...'

'Colton.'

'This is us getting along,' July says, and SHE'S NOT WRONG.

'Too tired to sit on my face?'

This doesn't include the chin lifts and the clenching jaws...

And these are only the ones I started highlighting when I starting noticing a...pattern.

Seriously, all we were missing were some henleys, the word "beauty" a million times, and some fucking idiotic nickname like "Button."

Now.

Quite frankly, I don't actually fucking care about this.

I already KNEW ARR seemed to pattern her writing after KA quite a bit and here I am still reading it.

So this is not me hating on it by ANY means.

I just feel like - after this many books - ARR might start to develop her own style a little bit.

But alas, here we are.

Regardless, like I said, I don't really care - obviously.

I'm just not one to let an elephant sit quietly in this middle of the room.

description

This makes family BBQ's SUPER fun by the way.

description

But I digress.

This book.

I really enjoyed it, especially in light of the fact that I was super hesitant to read it after hating and DNF-ing Until July.

If you want to read about those shenanigans, a diseased bird, and that fucking idiot, you can find my review for the July train wreck HERE.

But I digress.

Again.

I really like the premise of this book. Second chance romances are some of my favorites. And a second chance involving a marriage?

description

Also, I just LOVE the OTT possessive alpha male shtick and - emulation or not - ARR really nails that craving for me.

I really liked Evan and I didn't even want to punch June in the face once - which is always a win.

My favorite ARR to date (not counting the two smut gems written under CA Rose) is Until Nico and I have a feeling that - like that one - I will enjoy this one more after a few re-reads.

So, long story short:

description

Fine me at:

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Maybe I'm an idiot for wanting to read this after THIS atrocity....

But I love ARR...I have HOPE.

And, well, you know what they say...

Fingers crossed that "other one" was just a miss for me :))

4 stars!

I have read and loved every ’Until’ book Aurora Rose Reynolds has written. There is something about these stories, her formula and characters that I love so much! I was so excited to see another Mayson girl was getting a book. And I’m happy to report, I loved this one, too!

Until June was just a little different than some of the others in this series… Like all the Mayson’s, June felt that BOOM right away when she met Evan. Unlike most of them, Evan and June were together, then they weren’t. This is a second chance romance and what I loved most about it is that even though this couple was apart for awhile, their love never stopped.

 photo ECD611AC-07AF-4B89-9318-F7C9C44D2028_zpskr5rocsv.jpg

Evan made some not great choices in the past, but he did it for the right reasons. He has always loved June and he wanted to protect her. Even if it was from himself and all the baggage he carried. He felt unworthy, so he stayed away. Now they’re brought back together and he can’t stay away anymore. June doesn’t know how to feel. She loved Evan with all her heart and soul, and if we’re being honest here, that feeling never went away. But it’s hard to trust someone again when they hurt you so badly.

Evan has always had June’s love, but winning back her trust is whats important to him now. She is his and he won’t give up on being with her.
“You don’t understand that it’s impossible for me to breathe without you.”

I adored June and Evan together. I love that getting back together wasn’t completely rushed, but also wasn’t drawn out. Their connection was there, the love was there and they were beautiful together. Of course there was some drama, but it wasn’t relationship drama and I loved that about this book!

All the characters in these books will hold a special place to me. If Aurora keeps writing them, I’ll keep reading them! If you’re looking for a read that’s full of heart, alpha men, romance and steam- pick this one up!

4,5 Possessive Alpha Male stars!

"I'll always love you enough for the both of us. Always."

I'm 100% sure ARR is one of my favorite authors, writing about the most amazing possessive alpha males in the damn world! She always makes me feel tingles when I'm in hero's mind and makes me crave my own BOOM who isn't here yet but that's not the point!
description
And now that I told you about my love for ARR I have 6 words to share with you....EVAN AND JUNE ARE FINALLY HERE!!!!!!
description
"You're mine. Mine. Your tits are mine.
Your ass is mine. Call me whatever you like."

description
Oh my God I was so addicted to this book since the moment I read about June and Evan in "Until July" and it couldn't come fast enough...This book was everything I was expecting an more...Evan and June were a match make in heaven!

She wasn't important-she was fucking vital, the best thing that ever happened to me. But then I had to let her go so my fucked up didn't ruin her.
description
Damn Evan I have to find someone just like you!
description
I really enjoyed this book and I was glad that we could see the other characters too but mostly because Asher and November were more present in this book so I LOVED it!!!This book was one of ARR's usual stories with strong, loving, funny, sassy women and fearless, overprotective, possessive alpha males ready to go all cavemen for their women. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the fact that there were some things going on but they needed more development for the readers to have a clear picture. Other than that everything else were very ARR style which I enjoy that's why I keep read her books!

"You were all I ever wanted, I believed in you. I believed in us.
There was never a time you weren't good enough for me."

description
NOW let's talk about Evan's hotness and June's libido going crazy every time he was around...
description
"I could die right here, right fucking here, and know I felt heaven at least once."
description
They were HOT for each other and I don't blame them for a second!Their chemistry was off the charts making you hot and bothered for some reason!
description
"Hands above your head, June. I tell you again and I'm spanking you."
description
"You look beautiful taking my c*ck, baby."
description
"Fuck, but I could seriously live in your pussy, baby."
description
Evan and June were not only hot but sweet too, ready to complete the pieces that were missing from their relationship...That's why they were a great couple!

"You're so fucking beautiful, baby, the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
description
"You have always, always been good enough for me. I fell in love with you-all of you-not just one piece of you that I thought was perfect. There was never a time I didn't love you. You need to know that."
description
"I love you. Never going to stop loving you, baby."

Enjoy!xxx

Until June is featured in my May Top Pick of 2016!

~4.5 Smokin Hot Stars~
"Nothing sweeter than her, fucking nothing.
description

Until June was like a delectable dessert and I enjoyed savoring every single solitary bite! As the second book in the Until Her Series, Aurora Rose Reynolds proves again that "the boom" is not only real, but it NEVER GETS OLD! This series is, in fact, a spin-off of the unforgettable Until Series. With a strong alpha hero and tender-hearted heroine, Until June was another "Mayson Romance" hit!

description

Until November is the read that started it all. If you have read it, you remember the infamous Asher and the love of his life November. (If you haven't read it, YOU NEED TO! IT'S AMAZING!) Until June is the story of June (November and Asher's daughter). The Mayson Family is stocked full of strong alpha men and their sassy women. I am a huge fan of the entire cast of characters!

description
"Some memories have the ability to heal, the ability to light up the dark, because the beauty of the memory is so bright, you're still able to bask in it."
June's life has been thrown into a tailspin. After breaking up with her boyfriend, she finds herself in the police station under allegations of being an accessory to some crimes. After convincing the law that she is innocent, she returns home to the haven of her family. Now under the protection of her loving family, she is assigned a bodyguard. Unfortunately for June, this bodyguard is her secret ex-husband and the only man she has ever loved.
"You don't get to do this to me again."
description
"But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment, I had everything, while reminding me it's gone."
Evan is dying inside that he is in the same physical proximity of June, but he can't grab her and claim her as his. After serving in the military, Evan faced demons and convinced himself the only way to keep June clean from his dirty past would be to let her go. Now being back in her space, he is questioning his choices and hoping there might be a chance to get her back. With June's hesitancy to give herself back to him, Evan's insecurities, and the fact that NO ONE knows about their sordid past, Until June is one read that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time!
"Love is never stupid. It's beautiful and consuming, and we don't always have the ability to fight it when it happens."
description
"Moving my hand to the back of her neck, I hold her shoulders down to the bed then fuck her like a mad man, so hard that the headboard bangs loudly against the wall and the picture above the bed rattles."
Told in dual POV, Until June was practically perfect! The characters are complex, and their journey of coming back together was full of steam, heartbreak, and joy. Evan is quite "the man" in the bedroom, and he keeps June panting the through every single sexy moment. The family bonds are unbreakable, and the importance of family is one of my favorite elements in this entire series. The Reynolds formula has and always been a winner for me. Her heroes are passionate about protecting their women, they are dominant in the bedroom, and there is always mayhem and bedlam in the mix that the couple must overcome together!!! I love that I can pick up one of her books and know with certainty that I will lavish in every single second.

description

Overall, Until June is a must read. It was a perfect blend of romance, steam, and light action and kept me entertained the entire read. If a Mayson is in the story, my Kindle will be ready and waiting!

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of those authors for me that I will forever love. After reading Until November I was hooked and I don't think I will not be. I love how she can take a sweet romance story and turn it into something intriguing and unforgettable. Until June was nothing less than the best of ARR, and just another reason that I love her writing.

Until Juneis about November and Asher's daughter and the ex-husband no one knows about. Getting married to Evan before he went to boot camp seemed like the perfect plan to June, at the time. But then he came home and ignored her, sending his mother to give her divorce papers, and never speaking to her again. She didn't know what happened but she was heartbroken, so she moved back to her home town and tried to put the past behind her.

When Evan shows up in town and starts working with her family, she tries to avoid him and the memories he brings. Evan doesn't make it easy for her though, not once he decides they need another chance. A chance to clear the air and start over with their relationship to see where it leads. He won't give up on her, even if it means facing the wrath of her family when they learn of their marriage.

Evan and June's relationship started in the past, when we didn't know them yet, but there wasn't too much of the past brought up. I actually really liked that fact, and that the past wasn't brought to the front of the books attention a ridiculous amount of times. Focusing more on the present and the people that and June and Evan were now was the perfect thing for their story and I liked that it wasn't bogged down with worrying about everything that lead to where they were now.

I loved these two together, and getting to see them rediscover their love for one another. It was beautiful to see how time away from each other and a heartbreak, never changed how they cared for one another. I liked both of the characters and thought the development of them was done very well. There were no big changes in their characters but I felt like both June and Evan grew up some throughout the book and I liked seeing that.

There was one thing that seemed a bit rushed near the end of the book, and it didn't make too much sense to me. It was brought up earlier in the story, but then not mentioned again. Then bam it was there again and finished. Almost seemed like it was forgotten about, and then when remembered the author had to come up with a fast solution for it. It wasn't a big deal, but it did confuse me a little.

Overall, if you haven't read this series yet you are definitely missing something great. Not only is it easy to get sucked into the main characters' lives and want to be there with them, it's almost impossible to not feel the same with all the secondary characters. I love that there's a strong sense of family in these books, and I think most other people will too.

Totally drool-worthy!

HELP ! Can a person who suffers from the MAYSON's syndrome ever overcome it? The depth of commitment and love the Mayson family members have for one another is immeasurable.

Until June is the second book of the Until Her series, which follow the lives of June Mayson (one of Asher and November’s daughters from the Until Series) and Evan Barrister. I loved this book ! Aurora Rose Reynolds is definitely an auto buy author for me. I'm a sucker for a second chance romance, and this one delivered it in spades! Once again, we are given a beautiful story with engaging and lovable characters.

A few years ago June is away at college when she met Evan. They fall hard and secretly got married before Evan left for boot camp. June promised to wait for him, only for things to fall apart soon after. When she’s served with divorce papers while Evan is overseas in Afghanistan, it's the last thing she expects. She’s devastated, hurt, heartbroken and in a bad place for a very long time. Eventually she tries to move on, feeling that she has no other choice than to let the love of her life go. When she moves back to town, circumstances bring them together and as much as she wants to deny her feelings, she can't. Will June be strong enough to take him back and overcome her fears to let Evan in again ?

"He didn't hurt me, he obliterated me."

"You were all I ever wanted...I believed in you. I believed in us. There was never a time you weren't good enough for me." - June

Evan messed up big time. He knows that he made a huge mistake when he left June, one he never got over. But now he’s back and he won’t let love go away again. Evan will do everything in his power to keep her forever this time. He will stop at nothing to win June back.

"She wasn't important-she was f*cking vital, the best thing that ever happened to me. But then I had to let her go so my f*cked up didn't ruin her."

"Just like always, she has no idea how much her words effect me, how much she makes me want to be a better man."

From cover to cover this book is filled with passion, emotion, forgiveness, heat and love that can only be experienced when you find your BOOM! Yep, that is what the Mayson family calls it, when they find the one woman or the one man for them.

Once these two find their way back to each other, their attraction soared to reach a new dimension and they were both all in. ! I enjoyed the sex scenes. Pretty, pretty hot. 5 flames hot. They definitely were making up for lost time !!! ARR really knows how to steam up the pages…

"I swear my body is in tune with hers, like there is an invisible wire connecting us."

Evan is straight up sex on a stick and this perfect combination of dirty talking Alpha male, loyal and sweet. He’s possessive and protective as all hell but that's what we read these books for right ?! The total package !

From the start this book grabbed my undivided attention until the very end. Can’t wait to read the next instalment in the Series, Ashlyn’s story.

I love Aurora Rose Reynolds, especially this series, I love the “boom.” So imagine my surprise when I start reading and learn that heroine and hero used to be married. A second chance romance, WHAT?? I was not expecting that at all. I am not a huge fan of second chance romances and I was worried.

When June is brought in for questioning due to her ex-boyfriend’s illegal activity and her innocences is established, they realize she could be in danger. Her family sets up a system for monitoring her, enter Evan. Like I said, June knows Evan and has a past with him. We quickly learn that June and Evan used to be married, but that he ended things.

Listen I already love the Maysons, so that means I am Team June out the gate. I immediately wanted to know what actions could possibly justify Evan’s breaking her heart. As a person who isn’t a fan of second chance romances I needed it to be justifiable.

I didn’t necessary love Evan’s reasons, but I did understand them more. I just wish things had been different in the past, but I am very aware that’s just my preferences. I did LOVE how things moved very quickly and it wasn’t long before I felt that immediately connection. I love how these heroes don’t mess around and claim their women - I know it’s caveman-ish, but I don’t even care a little, I love it.

“You don’t understand that it’s impossible for me to breathe without you.”

If you are a fan of these stories, you will love this one too. As always, it’s a quick read and the plot moves very quickly, it’s sexy and fun, and allows us to see all our favorite characters from the past.

This contemporary romance is filled with fun moments and sensual times. It's not cheesy, full of insta-love, or hard to get into. I absolutely adored the main couple. Their relationship was sweet, realistic, in no way overdone and totally believable.

It's kinda a different kind of love story. Evan and June were secretly married before Evan left for boot camp. While he’s overseas, June is served with divorce papers. Evan experiences the cruelty and sadness of war and he knows she’s too good for him. June can’t do anything else but accept his decision, although she’s deeply in love with him. When he comes back, their paths collide and feelings deep and hidden come to the surface.

I loved Evan. The emotions that he fights to keep away keep coming up. Will these two be right for each other? Will Evan and June give into the sexual tension between them or keep clashing avoiding the tension that is building between them on a daily basis. You will have to read to find out!!

This book didn’t disappoint. It has memorable characters and a burning passion that singes each page. The way everything happens just works so well in the book and I highly recommend it!

4,5 Second Chance Stars.

June and Evan fell in love with each other and got married in secret. Their plan was to stay together forever and raise a family, but all that changes with Evan’s deployment with the army. The only thing June gets is the divorce papers to sign with no apparent reason to why Evan decided to do it. Broken hearted she tries to move one with her life, she finishes college and she moves back to her hometown next to her family.
What she didn’t expect was Evan’s return. He’s a friend and works together with her cousin and when June finds herself in the middle of a tricky situation, he’s the first one called to protect her. She doesn’t trust Evan, he broke her heart once and may as well do it a second time, but this time Evan is decided to have her again, and not letting her go this time. And when feelings that never disappeared are tested again, falling a second time it’s almost as easy as the first.

description

If you’ve read Aurora Rose Reynolds before you know the drill: lots of insta-love, some drama, low angst, sexy scenes and possessive alpha-males. Her formula is always the same, and in this case I’m a full supporter of the saying that you don’t change a winning team. You know exactly what are you going to get but if you like it (like me), you’ll read everything she writes anyway (again, like me).
There was a slightly change in her M.O. with the introduction of a second chance romance, but I’m a sucker for those so I loved it and as some reviewers noticed and I completely agree, there was a certain KA vibe with this book. But then again, KA is THE queen so anything that reminds me of her books, will always be a good thing in my eyes.
All this to say that once again I got completely addicted to an Aurora’s books, an if you want to read a sexy and sweet second chance romance with a possessive and swoon worthy alpha male, this is definitely a good choice.

Alright, this book was all that it promised to be and for once I am happy that she tried to move on. Too bad it was with a dickhead.
I think she had the right for the way he divorced her. She deserved to know why and he should have maned-up and do it himself.
I am not going to lie, I thought I would have hated that she was moving on with another guy but she was very picky and only had one other guy after the hero.
I had to read this book!!!
This hardly ever happens that the guy is faithful and the girl is not!
What has happened in romance-land?
This is unheard of, well for me anyways.
The story was okay but I loved how they felt real to me.
I loved the Momzilla, that is so like my mom it's crazy!

Please note that: It lost a star because she did have sex with another guy and also because the whole story was a little far fetched.

4.5 'I love you enough for the both of us' Stars

June and Evan have a past together, one that barely no one in her family is aware about.
From the very first moment they met, they knew they had found their other half. They lived a secret whirlwind romance, got married and made plans for their future. What they were not counting on was the aftermath of Evan being in the heart of a war. Coupled with his already existing demons, it made Evan push June away in the most final of ways. Or so they thought…
Coming back to your hometown and having to see the man who broke your heart, is the last thing June wants to deal with. But having him as her security detail is her very own private hell.
When two people that have this repressed volcanic chemistry between them have to be in close proximity, things are bound to explode at some point, and they such did! ;)
June was such an amazing character, strong, sassy, the perfect balance of sweet and spice. And being the daughter of Asher and November, how could she not?
Like it happened with most of her family, she felt that Evan was The One for her, her BOOM, from the very start.

It was the fact that when I was with him, I knew it was where I belonged. Right down to my bones, I knew that, I was meant to be his and he was meant to be mine.

But then he destroyed her without a chance to repair, and after so much suffering she decided to heal, and try to move on.

Second chance story aren’t really my favorite genre, because I get to nervous on how I will feel in the regards of the couples’ love, especially in the time of the separation, but here, Aurora Rose Reynolds worked it in the most perfect way. Yes, June tried to move on – something that normally it bothers me immensely in my romance reads – but in this story, it didn’t disturb me in the least. Actually quite the opposite, given the hurt Evan caused and the terminal way he ended things, I was happy that June didn’t remain pinning for him, and tried to go on with her life. But her feelings for him could never be erased that easily, if ever…

Evan was a true ARR’s alpha, and I adored him! And in this book he was PERFECT! Yes, he made an huge mistake in the past, ending their relationship even if he didn’t see another way, at the time, but in the present, once he realizes that he was wrong in more ways than one, which happens in the very beginning of this book, he fights with EVERYTHING he has to win back June and her love because never once, since they met, did the stop loving her.

She wasn’t important—she was fucking vital, the best thing that ever happened to me.

I can’t tell you how incredible this character was, you have to read for yourselves and find out, and I promise you will enjoy every second of it!
Boy, oh boy, did this man do good grovel. June put up a fight and protected her feelings and emotions with herculean effort, but never once did Evan hesitate. He even told her as much,

I’ll always love you enough for the both of us. Always.

“I have enough love for the both of us. Doesn’t matter if you love me back. I’m not giving you space or room. You’re mine, June. You have been for a long fucking time and I want what we could have had to start now.”

This man had me swooning and sighing all throughout the story, and his love, loyalty, and devotion for June were unmovable, and one of the main reasons for which this particular second chance read worked so well for me. He was one of the best male MCs I have had the pleasure of reading.

Another enrichment factor to this story were the amazing secondary character, and especially her parents, Asher and November. I had almost forgotten how much I love them. ;)

“If you need someone to talk to, I’m here, and if not, your mom doesn’t love you as much as I do, but I’m sure she’d hear you out too.”

But in Evan’s case, it’s proven more than once that blood is not the most important thing in a relationship, as he beautifully says.

Some people have the same blood running through their veins, but that blood doesn’t mean shit at the end of the day. When shit went down for you, I didn’t once think of calling my blood. I called my brothers. And the minute I did, they rolled out. That’s loyalty. That’s love and respect. That’s a bond stronger than blood.

I was so happy with these characters, but Evan really was my favorite, I couldn’t get tired of his brand of alpha sweetness.

“Are you crazy?” I ask when I find my voice.
“Was crazy for a while, baby. I also couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t even fucking take a breath. Three days ago, I finally took a breath, and since then, I’ve been breathing easy. So no, baby, I’m not crazy.”

And since it was coupled with an extraordinary dirty mouth, I understood how June couldn’t resist him. No sane woman could! He was sex personified, which combined with their chemistry created truly off-the-charts, sizzling HOT, sex scenes. This man was insatiable!!!
So beware you may need more than one cold shower throughout the read!

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my all time favorite authors, and this book is the living proof of the reason why I love and buy all her books. Until June is the perfect cocktail of a sweet romance story, a pure ARR hot alpha man, a strong female MC, some amazing side characters – that get you hooked for the upcoming books – and enough spice and heat to warm an entire town during winter. She abundantly delivers us the most beautiful love story, with the most anticipated wrapping, the perfect HEA.

“The man I was didn’t deserve you. He didn’t even deserve to breathe the same air as you. But I do. I’m not the man I was then, and I vow, every day until I take my last breath, to prove myself worthy of you.”
(…)
“You have always, always been good enough for me. I fell in love with you—all of you—not just one piece of you that I thought was perfect. There was never a time I didn’t love you. You need to know that.”

This book was very reminiscent of the KA of old. In fact the prologue was VERY similar to that of Wild Man. Since I LOVE the KA of old, this book was right up my alley...

description

Low angst, and the hero which is pretty much a unicorn in Romanclandia these days. I do think that there could have been a lot more groveling done on his part. I mean he that's kind of an epic douche move worthy of at least a few pages of grovel. She fell back into his arms a little too easily in my opinion. There were also a few things I felt were underdeveloped. Like Evan's brother, June's ex, and the whole motorcycle club thing. The first two were just left hanging, and the last was wrapped up a bit too quickly and neatly.

That said, the book was HOT AS HELL. I loved all the side characters, and seeing the characters from other books. The story flowed nicely, and it had a cute (if a bit too short) epilogue. Overall though a very enjoyable read.

**Audio reread** 3/18/18

My heart broke upon rereading this...

Another ARR book that I really liked!

Evan was super hot! He was bold, strong and took zero shit from anyone. He was fighting his pull towards June because he thought that was what was best for her. He was trying to keep from hurting her, but instead crushed her when he cowardly divorced her. Now that they are back in the same town and their paths keep crossing, he knows that he will never be happy without her. He steps up and fights like a man for the woman he never once stopped loving.

June was nursing a broken heart. The man she loved, trusted and thought she was going to spend her life with crushed her. I hated that she was trying to move on (unsuccessfully I might add) she was devastated and hurt when she was given divorce papers by her new husbands mom. Even though she dated someone else, she never stopped loving Evan. If I had my wish, she would have stayed single. Evan was her "boom" and he broke her.

--alpha hero who made some bad mistakes but more than made up for them
--sweet strong heroine
--no cheating
--steamy sex scenes
--no ow/om after they are reunited
--some pushing away initially by heroine but it didn't last long
--great seconday characters
--great epilogue with a HEA that is 3 months, then 4 years out.

I really enjoyed reading about our favorites from previous books and look forward to more from this gang. There as a diversion from the story line that baffled me....Colton and Gia, was that a set up for a future story? I am assuming Sage and Kim will be a story too? Harmony and Harlan? I just can't wait.

Also, we get the prologue for Until Ashlyn at the end. I'm curious about Ashlyn and Dillon. Although they had a rough start in Until Jax, Ashlyn thinks he hot but not only does he make her crazy but he's engaged to a real bitch. Now, they are stuck sharing a room while in Vegas for dental conference. How will ARR pull that off? I'm anxious to see where it goes

Reread 9/10/18 I loved this one just as much as the first time. Not surprising though considering the author.
5++ stars. I loved this book. Loved both MCs. While I don't like that Evan left her before, I believe he truly thought he was doing the right thing. You could feel his love for June coming off the pages. I also love that June forgave him and didn't make him grovel until the end of time. I like that she understood how damaged he was and wanted to help him. There are not many authors that I love as much as ARR. she writes great characters. Of course it was also amazing to see old characters that I lived as well. The only thing that started to bother me was that everyone looked soft at each other and whispered lol. Very small thing though. This is a definite reread for me.

I am having a hard time getting into the next generation of the Until series.

I did enjoy the short scene where all the sisters and cousins went to dinner.

Unfortunately, that scene was ruined by the Grunters and Growlers who came to punish the women for being out of the house too long where other men could be tempted and gaze upon their flesh. (It's time to round up all the female dogs and put them back in the kennel for the night.)

I did not like "Ev" and his dialogue just didn't do it for me.

"Look at me, baby."
“Baby, calm down."
"Sleep, baby"
“Hurry, baby,
“Ride me, baby.”
“We’re moving forward, baby,”
We’ll work through your shit and settle in, baby.”
“’Kay, baby, come right back.”
“Fuck, baby, get there. I need inside of you,”
“Mouth around my cock, baby,”
“Fuck, baby, come,”
“Gonna marry you again, baby,”

Every time "Ev" said the word "baby", I all could think about was that scene from the movie, Dirty Dancing where Patrick Swayze says "Nobody puts Baby in the corner"

Honestly, if FMC's name was not in book title, I would not remember it.

It the end it just seems "Ev" was more like June's owner who reclaimed her from the lost and found dog shelter than her true love.

2.5* Meh

While I'd loved 'Until November' none of the following books have come close and so I'd decided after 'July' I was done but then the reviews started coming through for 'Ashlyn' and I was curious.
Before I continue I have to say that the best part of any relationship for me is the initial meet and the following attraction and I felt I'd missed that in 'Ashlyn' and so for that reason and that reason only I decided to read 'June' assuming, wrongly it would appear that because this wasn't in 'Ashlyn' I would find it in 'June' but I didn't and now I feel completely cheated.
Not only did I not find the start of Ashlyn and Dillon's relationship here but the start of June and Evan's wasn't here either.
Also is it me or are these books and more specifically the men in them becoming carbon copies of Kristen Ashley's men because I'm finding it difficult to tell the difference these days.
I'm sorry to say this book seemed like a whole load of not much, there's more sex than story and the conflict which I expected to run the length of the book was resolved unbelievably quickly.

An okay, quick guilty pleasure read with not much happening apart from the sexy times. I do love a good second chance romance without any ex drama and I got that here as well as two really likeable characters with no TSTL either.

Only niggle for me was I kept on having déjà vu moments harking back to KA's books. The author has a fair few books under her belt and I think by now she should have developed her own style rather than borrowing Kristen Ashley's. Just saying .....

And....Everything is right with the world again! Yayy!!

I didn't particularly love the first book in this series, but this one was FANTASTIC! This second chance romance really hit the spot for me. I was immediately drawn into the story and couldn't help but root for the characters to find their HEA. I'm not going to write a full review since I'm super late to the party, but the main characters were great. The secondary characters (JJ) were very entertaining. The plot, pace and writing were all winners. It's pure ARR Gold!

I'd recommend this title to romance readers who love alpha-males and the women who fall for them!

I rate it: 4.25 Stars

This is a gorgeous , well written, low angst , high passion , sexy second chance romance. Fabulous book. Fantastic series. I had been itching for this book to come out. Aurora is one of my favourite authors. She is an automatic one click writer for me. This book surpassed my already rather lofty expectations.
This story centers on June ( Asher and November's daughter) and her gorgeous ex husband Evan. I loved the fact that previously they had married and she never told her family. They are an intense bunch (in a really good way) and I thought it helped towards showing June very much in her own light that she kept that to herself. She doesn't live in their pockets, she is very private, loyal, sweet and stubborn yet they all still protect her and close the circle round her when she needs it. So, although all the fantastic characters we have met before are in the novel , they never overshadow Evan and June's story. Evan is such an Alpha male but he is incredibly vulnerable also. He adores her and realises he made a huge mistake before when he broke up with her but he truly was fighting his own demons.
I would recommend reading at least Until July before this one, although you could read Until June as a standalone I think you would follow the subtle character nuances and dynamics if you had more background. The Until Series is one of the best I have read and Until Her & Until Him books are easily equal to it.
I would recommend over 18's only due to sexual content and swearing. This book is HOT. The things that man says.....*fans self* …
I am so looking forward to more.

SPOILERS AHEAD.......

HEA? Yes
Cheating? No
Multiple Kindle freezer moments required? That would be one huge HELL YEAH.

***Re - read via Audio book in February 2020. I am binge re reading this series by listening to them on audio and I am falling in love with these novels and characters all over again. Is it a little bit OTT Alpha male / caveman? Yes , and I loved every bit of it. ****

April 2022 Another delicious re read. I needed an hot alpha hero fix & Evan fit the bill perfectly.

good but ultimately anticlimactic. I felt like a bunch of little things happened, but there was no major conflict or climax and then it just sort of ended. But, I love ARR and she writes super HOT alpha men so there was lots of sex :) full review on The Book Disciple

5/24/16:
I really like this book and had been eagerly anticipating the release of this book. But like another book I recently read I felt a little like I hyped myself up to read this because I love the author, but it fell just slightly short of that awesome 5 star read. Don't get me wrong I really love the story of the book, but I felt it was missing something of what Until November and Until Nico had. Maybe it was the humor and how it was delivered. This was a more serious book and not as humorous as the two books I mentioned. But the thing is that I like funny in my books and especially if written well and enhances the story I love the story more. Don't get me wrong I think the story is great and the sex scenes and dirty talk most especially made this book well worth reading and I'm sure I'll be re-reading this book in the future, but it is just missing that special pizzazz that were in her previous books.

I'm really eager continue this series with Dentist Dillon & Ashlyn, Harlen & Harmony, and most especially who April ends up with.

***********

5/30/16:
I waited a few days and looked at my review again and I know I initially gave it 4 stars, but I just bumped it down to 3 after I thought about it again. Not only was I unhappy with Nate as the hero, but June was pretty annoying as well.

In almost all of June's dialogue she didn't sound like she had any gumption when she spoke. Her speech was disjointed and never finished her sentences like she didn't know what to say and it just faded off. And the crying!!! OMG! The crying was really annoying. I mean she cried at the drop of the hat. I think if I counted all the crying in the book that she did it would probably be more than 50 times and that is 49 times too much in my opinion!

“I’ll always love you enough for the both of us. Always.”

4 sexy and swoony second chance stars

Oh, how I love a second chance romance! Throw in a possessive alpha male, swoony declarations, a whole lot of sexy time, and that special ‘something’ that makes Aurora Rose Reynolds’ books so damn enjoyable, and this is a really great read!

June Mayson is the daughter of Asher and November from Until November. When her story was hinted at in the first book of this series, Until July, I was immediately intrigued. A secret marriage, a man scarred by his experience in war, two broken hearts, and an emotion-fuelled reunion. It’s like crack for romance lovers!

Evan and June met three years ago. They fell in instant and all-consuming love, and were secretly married before he headed off to boot camp. But Evan was immediately shipped off to war and his experiences overseas destroyed him. Completely lost by all that he went through and knowing that he’d never be good enough for June, he served her with divorce papers, effectively breaking both of their hearts as a couple that were very clearly meant to be together were torn apart.

When I was with him, I knew it was where I belonged. Right down to my bones, I knew that, I was meant to be his and he was meant to be mine.

She wasn’t important— she was fucking vital, the best thing that ever happened to me. But then I had to let her go so my fucked up didn’t ruin her.

Now, Evan is back. And not only is he back, but he’s working with June’s cousins Jax and Sage in their security business. And what do you know, his latest job is protecting June from her dangerous, drug-dealing ex-boyfriend. June is pissed that Evan is back and intruding on her life, but deep down she knows she’s never gotten over him, so she’s all kinds of confused. Evan tried his best to stay away, but watching June day in and day out, he’s done holding back. June is the love of his life, and he is determined to win her back.

Like all ARR books, this book is super romantic with June and Evan unable to deny their connection for too long. Their reunion happens fairly quickly, though they still have a lot they need to work through, but Evan makes his feelings clear and the swoon is off the freaking charts!

“I love you,” he says gently, running his fingers along my hairline. “Never going to stop loving you, baby.”
“Ev,” I breathe, feeling tears burn my throat.
“I’ll wait for you to find it again. I’d wait forever for you.”

*dreamy sigh*

And the sexy time is absolutely steaming! June and Evan’s connection is intense – in and out of the bedroom, and there is an abundance of love scenes which show that. And their freakish physical connection brings out Evan’s alpha side over and over again, which is all kinds of hot!

“You’re mine. I mean that in the most fucked-up, primal way possible. If it were legal to own you, I would.”

The newly reunited couple have a lot that they need to work through. The love is there, and neither of them deny that, but the trust needs to be rebuilt, and that is a slower process, but they do it beautifully, with no stupid behaviour or game playing, just following their hearts and never losing sight of the happy ending that they both want.

And there are also things happening outside of their relationship – the first being June’s family. Their sense of betrayal over the secret marriage, and their distrust of Evan is realistic and well written, and again I loved seeing Asher as the uber-protective Dad who would do anything for his girls.

“I love you, more than anything in this world, and nothing will ever change that.” He kisses my forehead then leans back, catching my eyes again. “If you need someone to talk to, I’m here, and if not, your mom doesn’t love you as much as I do, but I’m sure she’d hear you out too.”

And in addition to the family dramas there’s June’s ex, a scary break-in and biker issues to contend with. It all adds to the excitement of the story, and provides some nice drama as a background to June and Evan’s reconciliation.

But it’s all about the romance, and June and Evan finding their way back to each other and getting their HEA a beautiful journey. Full of all of the sweetness, romance, passion and intensity that I have come to expect from this author, this is a great read.

I loved it – 4 stars.

These books are a serious addiction of mine. I've read every single book in the until series and I plan to read many many more (hopefully). Eventhough this one wasn't my favorite, I still enjoyed reading it very much.

This time it's June's turn. June is November and Asher's daughter (Until November). November is one of my favorite heroines is this series, so I have high hopes for all her daughters... June was an oke heroine...a bit too sweet and forgiving for my taste, but not bad.

A couple of years ago, June was in a very loving relationship with Evan. They actually got marries without anyone knowing. They were happy and in love eventhough Evan was serving time overseas. Until one day, Evan's mom stops by, to serve June with divorce papers...breaking June's heart.
After this, she tried to move on and never told her family about it.

Fast forward 3 years and June is back in her hometown. This because of an ex-boyfriend who's causing trouble for her. Eventhough the man in question is in jail, her family doesn't want to take any chances, going so far as to even hire security to watch her. Gues who's hired for the job....

Evan has never stopped loving June but he felt it was better to leave her. This is were the story lost some points for me, because I didn't agree with Evan's choices. They seemed a bit farfetched for me and we got a bit of info on what happend to him, but for me, this was not a good enough reason to leave June behind and break her heart.

 photo tumblr_o687dyM3wQ1vqiiyeo1_500_zpsry2dttfo.gif

Evan is now working for June's cousin Jax, who ofcourse has no idea of the history the two of them share. The more Evan is around June, the more he realises his mistake. She is his and he will do anything to have her back again. Question is, does June still want Evan...

 photo 0517f97fb2cae727261567ceb5be84b3c617b3-wm_zpsqmzwmbho.jpg

Like I said, I really enjoyed this one, but is was a bit tame for me. There were also some things that bothered me. We got an intro on Evan's shitty family, but I feel like there wasn't any closure on that part. I would have liked to know more about his brother. I also felt that June was a very mild heroine, but this is a personal preference, I just like my heroines a bit more feisty. I still have a lot of hope for April...she sure seemed feisty !! The epilogue was also very short, I like longer epilogues with a bit more info. I did read the excerpt for Until Ashlyn and I have to admit I am very curious ...can't wait to read that one. So eventhough this wasn't my favorit of the series, it was still very good. I'm giving 3,5 stars and rounding up because I love this author and because the steam was very hot !!

4 Stars!

Knowing the premise of the book, I was a bit worried in the beginning that the book was going to be a mixture of their history before the separation and their life after the divorce. I'm glad the author stuck with just telling the present.

Evan was okay, I'm not usually a fan of hero's who have the 'you're too good for me' thing going on, but he did redeem himself. But these scenario's always feel like a pity party for the H.

I don't blame June for moving on, but the fact that she was with someone during the deperation bothered me a bit. I did like that she forgave Evan fairly quickly but I think he should have worked for it a bit more!

I really enjoyed the side characters! I am stoked for Ashlyn's story also Evan's friend and Gia seemed like an adorable couple as well!

When I found out that June was getting the book this is how I felt!

I mean I have been a follower since Until November. I would beg, steal and sell one kidney to get her books. I'M OBSESSED!

We first got a glimpse of June and her story in Until July. Little hints dropped here and there. Those little hints made you immediately go crazy with need to get this book. It's what Aurora does. She keep you begging and wanting more. SO MUCH MORE.

June Mayson and Evan Barrister’s whirlwind courtship resulted in a secret marriage right before he left for boot camp.

What started as her forever Boom. Slowly because her heartbreaking boom. You see Evan came from a broken home. Evan isn't stupid he knows that June comes from a beautiful loving family. Knew that he shouldn't touch her. Knew that he shouldn't go there. Knew that he shouldn't fall in love with her hook, line and sinker.

That is just what he did. He let her go. Put aside his love for her, so she could have someone that wasn't broken. It seemed that like a simple plan for him.

She tried to fight it, tried to put him and the mistake of falling in love with him behind her. It seems like their love was just a memory!

The last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is Evan.

She was starting over. One look at him brings everything back. It also brings anger. Angry that she has done everything to move one. Angry that no matter how many times she tells her heart that she doesn't love him her heart just isn't on board with this plan.

The pain she sees every time their eyes meet? How can she fight the need to soothe him even if she knows she’s liable to get hurt once again?

It takes one touch. It takes one look. It takes one moment and all the love that they are both denying is not only in front of them it's consuming them.

One kiss and it was all over. Evan knew what is what to let her go and knows what it was to love her.
Evan is tired of running. Tired of denying himself of her love. Of her touch. Of her tomorrows.

He's come back to fight for her. He's come back to own her. He's come back to consume her. He's come back to finally claim her as his!

Is it possible for June and Evan to find their way back to each other again? Or will they be stopped by an outside force before they ever have a shot?

Once again Aurora has given me a couple to swoon over. She has given me a couple to root for. She has given me a couple that I won't forget. She has shown me that once you love the right person there is no other way.

She taught us that once you find your boom. You take it. You hold it. You cherish it. You fight for it.

There is no denying that Aurora knows how to write a love story. Each and EVERYTIME she has me asking for more!
