If there is a queen of chat shows in the USA, it is Oprah Winfrey. This self-made billionaire is far more than a talking head, she has leveraged her public profile to make a $3 billion fortune. She is the richest African American, and greatest black philanthropist, in history. Oprah has honorary doctorates from both Duke and Harvard Universities, and in 2013 President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her rise from childhood poverty in rural Mississippi, and her teenage years as a single mother in inner city Milwaukee, having become pregnant aged just 14, is nothing short of a miracle. Even in fairytales, heroines don’t triumph over adversity like this.

The quarantine and fear of not be able to go back to work anytime soon made me read this. This one is very informative about the lessons and life experience of Oprah Winfrey herself.
Love how Oprah utilized her network and experts around her to deliver authenticity time and time again. Her education, determination and hunger for knowledge was a recipe for success! She is truly inspirational

I thought this was a concise depiction of some of Oprah's most poignant lessons. It was a refreshing read, which captured the spirit of Oprah.
So why 3 stars? This is not writren by Oprah or in collaboration with her. This is a book reflecting over her life and some of the key lessons she has learnt. I a guessing that these lessons were shared in different forums. It would have been great to have an authentic book and lessons communicated by Oprah herself. This feels like we've got the york notes summary of the lesson, when we want the actual book. I kept thinking I want to know more or have certain lessons expanded. Furthermore, there were also a few typos, which for such a short book I was not impressed.
