It was written simply enough for less advanced readers, and very easy to read; was interesting in a lot of instances. It is a good History book with a Christian worldview--but I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to simultaneously do a Bible study, as this History book (for the most part) goes through stories of the Bible. However, it was nice for a change to read a History book written by young-earth creationists guided by a Christian worldview. You frankly don't find a lot of history books written like that--and it fulfills Highschool requirements for writing, history AND bible study. (3 in 1) So it is structured pretty well. The reason I give it 2 star is because I already 'study' the Bible separately and don't need my History course to do the same thing. Also I was a couple grades ahead of this course so I felt like I could have done with a more advanced curriculum, but it was pretty cool, nonetheless.

used this history curriculum this year and then found it on goodreads so decided to include in my “read” books. it was a good, informative, interesting, easy to understand course.

i would recommend if you’re looking for a christian-based history course for high school. also, this is the first semester curriculum which goes from creation to around the middle ages i believe. the part two for the second semester picks up where that left off and goes through present day.

all in all i would recommend as it was very well done. definitely going to continue to use notgrass’s history courses throughout high school.

I am so happy I found Notgrass History this year! This curriculum combines Bible, Literature, and History in all the ways I love with beautiful photographs of paintings and places around the world. I've loved learning more about the world by reading this alongside my daughter.

It was a school textbook which had everything good to say about John Locke and virtually nothing good about John Calvin. What can I say?😂

Great curriculum for World History. I do desire something that has the same Biblical world view, with more history of what is happening outside of Biblical history. I think it would be helpful from an apologetics stance, keeping kids from leaving the faith in college.
