He's a would-be college student stacking books in the local library. She's a high school senior nearing graduation. He leads a life of organized chaos and she's living by the book. He's free but all she can see are consequences.
„I wanted to leave, wanted to be something...“ „Well, I want to leave. And I want to be nothing.“
Jovie wanted to leave the small town and start with a clean slate in New York after graduation. Bash ran away from a crowded city. Jovie didn't expect that she would fall in love with Bash. Their relationship wasn't supposed to be pernament. But when you love someone, it's hard to let them go.
It's hard to imagine an expiration date when all I want is forever.
I could identify with both of the main characters, although they're so different. I felt the love and the fear of their future but some chapters are also jovial ☺. I'm not going to say that I didn't cry in the end, because I would lie. The ending was so touching that I couldn't even see my screen because of my blurry vision.
The relationship I had with my mother always felt like a cloudy, grey day on the brink of a thunderstorm.
Even though it's ''only'' a Wattpad novel, the writing and storyline are better than in many of well regarded books. And the characters are developed, too. This book includes not only problems with love, but also family issues and searching for the main protagonist's identity.
As I tried to tell him our time had run out, his hands were all over me, gripping my shoulders, cupping my face, pulling me closer, trying to find a way to keep me forever.
I already read this but IF YOU PUBLISH THIS, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY BUY IT just please make sure it's available worldwide.
I truly love this story. I love how elegantly-written this is. I fell in love. With the both of them. Oh how I wish I had my own Bash. *sighs* I cried how Bash made across his feelings towards Jovie. And his nickname to Jovie "Jovial"? Ugh. I melt. Like chocolate under the summer sun. And the ending? I bawled. It's 2AM and I have no regrets reading this and writing a review. This is sooo worth it. Kudos to the author.
One of the most well-written books I've ever read on Wattpad. The pompous words Bash loves using made me fall in love with the English language all over again. It can be considered a typical 'summer love' narrative, but it held so much more than that. Relationships with family and friends are broke open to reveal raw truth and honesty, and Jovie learned to grow by making amendments through them. The ending was satisfying; it's what the readers would have wanted, but realistically, they would have parted ways and never see each other again.
