I really don't like slavery type books but this piqued my interest with the Genetically altered-feline character. The owner who has inherited this creature is totally naive re: his needs. So it is a learning experience. There appears to be some dark secret about Yeri's past also. It appears the author has a plan for 8 more books ending in 02/2018. So I will not be reading the 2nd book or any others if at all, until they are all written.

It kept my interest, but it's a difficult subject matter and this a world that is accepting of slavery.
