How can you legitimately review 10 books at once? In any case I will attempt to keep my review short and relatively spoiler free. If you have read other star wars novels or have even a passing knowledge of the franchise you will be well aware of the tropes it will blatantly use again and again. The worst culprit being the constant self reflection on the need for taking life before blasting away at unknown soldier #35 or the experience of losing a loved one despite the characters experiencing very little loss themselves. Overall the experience is a good one with the changing authors bringing in fresh characters and perspectives as the series progresses. It can be a bit disconcerting to have Wedge go from detached commander to practical jokester as the novels are handed off from author to author but it still feels genuine to the character. If you are eyeing the more common 9 book series over this one feel free to pick that one up instead. The tenth novel is easily the weakest of them and only has a light connection to the old ones and very little of the feel. To reiterate, the experience was a good one and I wish more of the Star Wars universe had this kind of life to it as these novels held.

Great series of books and goes off in a line about background charactors that are only mentioned in the main line Star Wars stories.

All of the books are great and entertaining and you really connect with the characters, but my absolute favorite of the series is Wraith Squadron.

This book was a super fun adventure novel that focuses on espionage, crime syndicates and detective work., the best part of this book was how it expanded the entire Star Wars universe and seemed to make the universe more than just jedi and sith.
