The Feeder

Rate this book
The Vampire Council of Masters are less than impressed with its newest member and have sent the vampire assassin, Thayne, to do a little digging into how he truly acquired the position. But upon his arrival at Sinister, the club owned by the Master vampire, it seems that there is more than one mystery vying for his attention... in the form of a woman who make his mouth water and his fangs ache.

As assistant manager of Sinister, Eve has her work cut out for her, especially when her boss has no interest in anything other than himself and the blood he demands she give him on a weekly basis. When a new vampire is hired at the club to sort out their ongoing security problems, it seems that things are finally looking up... even if she does find herself reluctantly attracted to him.
At least, until the dead bodies start piling up.

At the age of 16 E.M. Reders watched a certain boy wizard movie and instantly wanted to read the books. Since that day she has been an addictive reader of fantasy both YA and Adult and now 10 years later is bringing her own fantasy series to life. When she isn't nose deep in her Kindle or typing away she is chasing round 2 (soon to be 3, or 4 if you include the husband) children and a crazy dog.

4 Reasons I loved The Feeder :

1 Characters
The characters in this book were perfect. Eve was a strong responsible female living with a lot of secrets and fear. Even after learning of her past, you don't think of her as fragile but strong.
Thayne as a vampire assassin was considerate, skilled and likeable on all levels.
Each character has a distinct voice which I really enjoyed.

2 World Building
The author has put a new spin on vampire mythology and has built an absorbing world. She doesn't waste time with lengthy descriptions but sneakily feeds you information as the story progresses. She has also introduced the concept of Feeders, a race similar to humans which served a purpose in the past.

3 Descriptions
It was easy to visualize events as they took place. The description were vivid, I could picture the fights, the bar, Eve and Thayne as I read. Even the murder scenes were handled with care, they send shivers up your spine without creeping you out.

4 Plot and Pacing
This was a fast paced novel, just the way I like it. It had an intricate plot and some mini plots which all worked out in the end. You see all the bits and pieces come together, which rarely happens. Extra Brownie Points.

Overall, this was a well written paranormal romantic mystery and a great read.

Simply saying, I was hooked.
A hot vampire assassin on orders of the vampire master enters in the club of Gideon, to find the dirt on him and reveal his true source of powers.
Thayne is amazingly good at his job. But this time he is faced with a distraction. The Beautiful, responsible Eve. He falls for her head over heels. But she has some secrets. Secrets which Thayne has to find.
U fall in love with the characters. Eve is beautiful and smart. She has a huge heart inspite of going through everything that she has.
Thayne is hot, ofcourse, but he also cares too much. I loved the fact that the author instead of focusing on the looks factor of the vampire, focused on his compassionate and caring nature.
The side characters are described very well too. You enjoy the friendship between the other boys and hate Vince. The love between Eve and Thayne has been beautifully captured.
The story itself is interesting and introduces a new concept of "Feeders"
An interesting plot, mean villains, amazing main characters and ofcourse a difficult love story. What else would you need ?
I would recommend this book of you are looking for an enjoyable light read.
P.S - I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. Emma is a great author who draws you into the world she creates. The pace of this book is perfect and the author leads you through her imaginative story that is quite different from others. I love that she approaches a well covered topic, and puts her own spin on it giving you unique story you can get lost in.

Eve is an adorable character and you can't help but feel for her! She most definitely has gotten the short straw in life. She makes for a great heroine, without being super strong but does so in a gentle way while overcoming her fears. Thayne is absolutely perfect for this story and a unique character. He helps Eve to get through her trouble. Together they make for a great pair.

I truly enjoyed this story, mostly because it is well written, has a unique plot and great characters. It has ample action but speaks to your softer side with romance between Eve and Thayne. I definitely would recommend this book for lovers of paranormal, especially the ones who love a little romance being thrown in.

I was gifted this book for an honest review. LOP

Hooked from the first few pages.
Thayne is a vampire assassin sent undercover to find out why a master vampire was able to defeat the old master.

What he does not expect is Eve, who is not all she seems to be.
Eve is a beautiful intelligent woman. Running from her past and hiding at the club. But there is a price for her sanctuary.
A gilded cage is still a cage.

I loved everything about this story. The characters were easy to connect with. Trent, Chad and Reece lovable.

I don't normally mention editing errors unless they really stand out for me and i was surprised a few did.

Well worth a read.

I really enjoyed the world E.M. Reders created in The Feeder. This story has a slightly different take on the world of vampires. This book could use more editing, but I loved the plot line. Eve is a great female lead character, not your typical helpless girl. I hope the author turns this book into a series, I would love to see more of this world.

THE FEEDER by E.M Reders

Thane is a vampire assassin sent undercover by the Vampire Council to find out why the new master vampire was able to defeat the old master. But what he does not expect to find is a beautiful and intelligent woman, that makes his fangs ache.

Eve has lots of secrets and lives in fear of her past. She's assistant manager of Sinister, a club owned by a very powerful vampire. But she feels trapped, she can't leave because her past haunts her and the present is over-demanding . Then she meets Thane.

With Thane at the club, hired to sort out the clubs ongoing security problems and with Eve's reluctant attraction to him, things are still looking up.....at least until dead bodies start turning up.

This is an awesome story, I loved it. The concept and storyline were both interesting and intriguing, which drew you in. The author has a great style of writing which comes across perfectly in the pages. I loved the main characters, Thane and Eve were amazing. This book is filled with drama, suspense, and romance, what more could you want. Overall, a very entertaining read!
