Rate this book
After a tragic incident causes her to lose her child, the Tiffany James everyone knows and loves has checked out mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Unable to cope with reality, she has built a fantasy world that introduces her to infidelity, pride, and alcoholism. This is where her emotional roller-coaster begins. Once strong, Tiffany’s marriage is now crumbling before her eyes. Her husband, harboring secrets that threaten to tear them apart, is absent when she needs him the most. Tiffany feels alone in her darkest hours. She used to be able to count on her best friend, Melissa, but Melissa is in the middle of personal chaos; raising a two-year-old son diagnosed with Autism and dealing with a cheating fiancé. And now Melissa is this close to ending it all, including her life. In the midst of Tiffany and Melissa’s crises, something incredible is occurring. The loving hand of God is weaving through the fabric of their broken hearts, their seemingly irreparable situations, and by His grace and mercy is mending their wounded spirits. One man on the verge of ruin. Two women torn apart by guilt and heartbreak. All three struggle to make peace with their pasts, while finding the strength to live with grace and honesty. Tender and moving, Affliction is a heartbreaking and courageous tale with a thought-provoking message that stays with you long after the story ends.

Confused

This book is supposed to be the prequel but it deals with some events that occurred after part 1. In itself, Affliction is interesting, but there are unanswered questions from both books. There doesn't appear to be another installment since these books have been released as a 2 part series. The author left too much hanging.
