Very helpfull

I enjoyed this short guide to macrame very much. I only needed a quick refresher, so I'm not going to be able to say if it will work for a rank beginner or not. The best thing I can tell you is to just grab some cordage and try some knots. Make something just for fun before you try a gift for a loved one! Use softer cords until you get proper calluses. Trust me on this.
About this book: I especially like Planter II, as it begins at the bottom, not the top. What a clever design! The whole time I was reading #1, I thought, this looks like an expensive cat toy! All those dangly cords to tempt my bad kitties to pull my plants down... my good ones don't usually do that. ;-) Or don't get caught...Anyway, I'm going to try that one 1st, and see how it goes.
A note for newbies: make sure you measure the area you wish to hang the planter. You may need to add or subtract knots to make it the length you need. Just keep track of your changes on a piece of paper in case you end up having to redo a section. Don't ask how I know this is a good idea. I nearly torched a school art project (macrame) in 7th grade b/c I didn't like to write notes! Your size will vary depending upon the tension, type of cordage, knots chosen, etc. so do keep track of how long each section is as you go along. Good luck & keep this book on hand. The knot illustrations alone are worth the price. 9/10 unicorns 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
