Moon Men is a short story with a wide range of characters that flow in and out of the story. The MC’s are interesting and entertaining but, there’s not much backstory on them. There is plenty of action, tension and surprising twists to keep the reader’s attention. And, best of all (to me) was the laugh-out-loud finale. It does need a bit of proofreading still, I hope there will be a follow-up story.

Disclaimer: I received this ebook from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.

4 stars for the story

2 stars for the lack of editing. Chris, did you read through this before you published it? Dang! Send your next book to me, before you publish it, if you need a proof reader.
I enjoyed the story and characters.

Plenty of action in this one. The story moves and is entertaining. But this is NOT a science fiction comedy. This is as serious as death, and there is lots of that in this.

I have been on this writer's newsletter for a while and I honestly cannot remember if I bought this or the author gave it away at some point. I have about 25 of his books and many of them were given away as promotions. This is the first one that I can recall reading. (This one is part of a trilogy that I think that I actually bought, but don't quote me on that).

This COULD have been a much better book. The editing is absolutely horrid. When you give away a lot of books, you likely cannot afford to hire an editor. And it really shows. This is riddled with simple mistakes. There are few actual misspellings. But other errors that an actual reader would not miss, but a computer program might not turn up. It would not be an exaggeration to say that there is almost an error on every page, Some pages have multiple errors, While this does not totally detract from the story, it CAN affect your enjoyment of it.

Weird story. Aliens fighting over Earth and they have infiltrated our government. It is sometimes tough to keep track of who is supposed to be on the "good" team. Characters are a little inconsistent in their actions/motivations. You REALLY need to suspend your disbelief with this one, and I could not always do that. A backyard rocket that takes a guy to the moon. Really? There are easy ways to write around this stuff, but the author decided to take an easier route and just make it so. This is mostly science fiction without the science. It is comedy in no way that I could discern, whatsoever.

While this was part of a box set, it is difficult to say whether it is intended as a stand alone story or if it is part of a series. If it WERE part of a series, that might explain why there was so much I missed.

Amateur astronomer Rob Crowe is hand picked by the President to negotiate a peace treaty with invading aliens on the Moon. Agents are sent to protect and escort him to the meething but are ambushed. It's a race against time, rogue government agencies, and double dealing aliens spies to get him to the moon to save the world from destruction.

Found it a bit choppy in places, as in thought the 2 in the one sedan were in the other, maybe they were, still not sure, so kept getting who was doing what mixed up and in in the plot so some confusion as to what was going on and who was doing it type thing.

These are nowhere near all the books, this is just the ones I had keyed up in ku or else was gotten on freebie day

Fun story, but badly needing an editor.

Author could study up a bit on firearms. A Glock has neither a manual safety or a hammer. It does not use "clips", but magazines. Text has hundreds of spelling and grammar errors. The word they is often truncated to the. It is often difficult to know which character is speaking. In at least one case, a character interacts with himself, based on the dialogue. Very, very sloppy, and appears rushed. A simple proof reading would have eliminated hundreds of errors.

Poorly written and edited

Kinda interesting plot. That’s all that’s good about the book. It’s obviously been written hastily and without forethought. It reads like a horrible B movie screenplay. The government agent tasked with protecting the main character was far too much of a moron to be believable. In fact, it was frustrating reading her character and I stopped reading fairly early on. Major editing flaws abound throughout the entire book (I assume so, because it started early and never stopped until I did).

Moon Men: Good Story but...

This author needs good proofreader. The end didn't seem like the end. The story needed more closure. Also a lot of things were never explained. Like what triggered Rob to turn into a super soldier and why was he able to do that??. Also who really were the people trying to kill Rob??

Pretty funny book

I would have given this book a higher rating except it kept jumping from present tense to past tense constantly. There were also many spelling and grammar mistakes everywhere. Aside from that, I did enjoy the overall story.

This is a slightly amusing short story! Bit mad, slightly choppy which I know is this writers style but felt this as a bit stilted. The previous books I have read by by this author were great! So felt a little disappointed! Saying that is was a reasonably good read!

An action packed, fun filled very tongue in cheek storyline.
It's only a short story so it doesn't take long to read.
I absolutely recommend this book.
