Culloden Moor, Scotland
Iain MacIntosh died at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Only his desire for revenge has kept him tethered to the lonely moor for the past two hundred seventy years. The time for that revenge, and his ultimate rest, is finally at hand. All that’s holding him up is one small task to prove his worth. He needs only to save the life of an innocent. An innocent who complicates his task as if she’s been sent by the devil himself.
Toliver Mine, Colorado
Sallie Addison has just about given up on men. But she has learned something from her history of always picking the wrong one. Love at first sight is as much a myth as is true love. Then she meets someone who just might change everything she believes about love. He’s perfect…except for his insistence that he was killed over two hundred and seventy years ago!
Two broken hearts, two lonely souls. Both just might have a chance at happiness if Iain can only keep Sallie alive.
Melissa Mayhue lives in Colorado, in the shadow of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, with her family, two insanely spoiled dogs, one domineering cat, a turtle with an attitude, and way too many fish in their aquarium. If any one thing is obvious about the books I like best, it's that I love my Happy Ever After endings!!
Iain, a ghost, is given the chance to prove himself by doing a good deed. Then he will finally be able to tell Bonnie Prince Charles what he thought of his betrayal. Iain ends up in Colorado working with a group giving mine tours. It is pretty clear why he's there when mysterious accidents keep occurring.
Another great ghost story with a bit of mystery, and a bit of romance. I love this series!
This is book 19 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background information on the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone.
I love Iain! He is one of the 79 ghost that haunt the grounds of Culloden Moor. Given the chance to perform a good deed to earn his boon to face Bonnie Prince Charlie for revenge for all the lives lost that day in 1746. Iain lands in Colorado to work at a mining company giving tours. It doesn't take long for him to figure out what his good deed is when mysterious accidents begin occurring.
This is another great read in this series with a little bit mystery, and of course romance!
This is a story about Iain and Sallie. She's a manager of a tourist property in Colorado whose life as been threatened, causing Soni to send Iain to her. Loved it, so exciting I couldn't put it down.
Each story I read, I tell myself that this is my favorite one. Then I'm on to the next! Such an awesome group of writers all staying true to the original. The history is the draw, but the individual stories make them keepers.
I enjoyed the romance in the book between Iain and Sallie. They were so sweet together. I specially enjoyed the mystery around who was trying to knock her off and the twist at the end. A really good book
I actually ordered this book by mistake after reading Gareth. WoW what a great story. Iain is like a wonderful gentle giant. I just loved this story.New author too!
Hooked by the first book! It's everything that a woman could ask for in a book,a great read. These are the best books I have ever read and I am an avid reader.
This is Iain’s story. It is a romance with adventure. It is easily read in one setting. It is a clean read. I enjoyed this story so much. Looking forward to more.
Iain is book #19 and I almost forgot I read it. Iain is ready to for revenge against the Bonnie Prince and is all but jumping when Soni calls him up but he has to save his innocent first before he can get his chance to the bugger. He lands in present day Colorado and meets Sally who trying to get away from the unwanted attention of an employee. What she doesn't know is that someone is trying to hurt her to get her job. Find out who and how Iain finally gets her to believe in ghost.
He waited so long to get his revenge yet after saving her from the river he started to have doubts. This storyline has been a great read. Looking forward to seeing who's next.
I know we'd all like to find our hero. Ian was certainly one of those. This was a quick read but still held lots of unexpected twists and turns. I've read all of Melissa Mayhue's books and none have disappointed.
Another great highlander romance from Melissa Mayhue. First time I heard of this project was with this tale and because Melissa Mayhue never disappoints, I am intrigued to check out the rest.
