I really enjoy the main characters, but wow, the predatory teacher and the number of side stories of inappropriate, unrequited love are just uncomfortable. I've never felt so mixed about a series before.

Well by now I have to say that this is definitely cute. Not Horimiya or Namaikizakari cute but still nonetheless cute (It's hard to come to that level :P ) I would definitely recommend this to my manga friends :)

Continues to be sweet, but again there's little to no development in the main characters and their story - just them getting out of jams. This volume seemed short. Also there was a weird introduction of another student/teacher relationship thing but at least this is just a student with an unmentioned crush on a teacher instead of a gross cat and mouse two way crush. Many second tier supporting characters seem to have fallen by the wayside.

The romance between the leads continues to be gentle and sweet. The romance between the bad boy and the teacher continues to be a touch creepy. This volume features the trope of a class trip to Kyoto. Solid and enjoyable execution.

This series is great because it is looks at a lot of different relationships between different characters. Although most of the couples outside the protagonists are only touched upon, still effective at looking at the diffeeent types of relationships we have. Each chapter is a short moment in the lives of the protagonists or those around them. I enjoyed this volume in particular, because it was a classic story in Japanese manga about the highschool end of term class trip. I am STILLL disturbed by the teacher coming onto her student, and I'm hoping this gets nipped in the bud.

I think this will be my last volume because I find the story of the creep teacher + Nagai extremely disturbing and because of that I can't enjoy the rest of the series... besides that student in love with his Science teacher + the new student taking an interest in the older lady... no, no, no.

The school trip to Kyoto was very cute though... their pictures :D

Yes the teacher/student thing is problematic, but I really, really love this series. Every volume is intensely satisfying and the way that the different emotional reactions to situations are shown gets right into my heart.

i get it. i used to have crushes on my teachers but dear god it was never reciprocated. i think it would be more realistic if these student-teacher dynamics weren’t pondered to and instead they learn something from it?? idk. not too fond of these TWO student-teacher relationships forming

Again, a relatable volume. I can't figure out Hinohara, or why Nagai doesn't avoid her at all costs, but I guess time will tell.

Even though Kanata and Kazuki pretend as hard as possible to be mature in front of their classmates, sometimes they have to do that with each other, too. As we see when Kazuki is too embarrassed to admit he’s not understanding math, and has to sneak around to get tutoring.

This is adorable, really. And it leads to Kanata going out with Shiki for a day, and Kazuki hanging out with Nagai. I love these odd friendships they’ve all formed. Kazuki and Nagai are real friends, even if they don’t realize it. And I appreciate that Shiki’s crush on Kanata is acknowledged as a real thing, even if Kanata doesn’t know about it.

The class goes on a school trip, and Kanata and Kazuki are forced to help plan it, but luckily they’re in a group together. This causes a lot of fun and adorable moments, like when the two start sneaking pictures at each other. There’s a real moment of emotion, though, when Nagai goes missing and the teacher freaks out when she finally finds him. It’s rather sweet, honestly.

We meet a new character in this volume, who has a crush on a teacher, and see a little more of the pair in unrequited love with other people.

A new volume of this series is always a delight, which is good given it’s going to be a while for the next one.

Let me start off by saying that this series is so awsome. Like seriously it is the sweetest thing I've ever read that it's enough to give me cavities! I mean even though in this volume there isn't a lot of skinship going on the love and affection between Kanata and Kazuki is definitely still there and as strong as ever. It's cute how they're still self conscious and unsure with each other and how Shiki is still trying to get between them through any means necessary including trying to make Kazuki look bad but only having that blow up in her face by putting them in an awkward situation. I have never rooted for any couple as hard as I am for these two what with their little bursts of joy at having little things like being in the same group for the school trip, taking secret photos of one another even trying to get some alone time without the class rep bursting in. So cute! And let's no forget my favorite awkward couple: Nagai and Hinohara with their love hate thing going on... that ending was to die for. I am literally dying for the next one to see where they go from there!
Can. Not. Wait!

As with previous volumes, Kanata and Kazuki’s relationship is still precious and the absolute best thing about the manga. At one point, Kazuki faces attempted humiliation at the hands of a girl who has a crush on Kanata, but he faces that potentially mortifying experience with grace, and he never tells Kanata what happened — because he wants Kanata to remain friends with the girl. It’s a touching plotline and shows not only Kazuki’s kindness but also his faith in Kanata’s affection for him.

However, I’m starting to worry that this series is moving in the direction of “problematic favorites.”

It's kind of sad when Eto confesses to Tanaka that she has a crush on someone, my first thought is, "let me guess, he's a teacher," and unfortunately I'm right. Honestly though, I don't have the energy to be mad anymore because this is clearly a thing with this series, thus I'm going to be mature and move on. Which is why I'm choosing to remember this volume for all of the adorable Tanaka and Yoshikawa interactions and their heartwarming lovey-dovey adorableness. Because that's all that matters at this point.

The good news: The creepy story line about the teacher who has a crush on a student plays very little role in this volume. So hooray.

The bad news: Instead we get a new story line about a student who has a crush on a teacher. Which is slightly better.

I continue to really enjoy this story about two junior high students trying to deal with the expectations they feel from those around them as well as their feelings for each other. It's sweet without being cloying.
