Where to even start? I really don’t know what to think about this short book. It fascinated me, and left me thirsting to know more about musical frequencies and their effects on the human body.

I appreciated that this work wasn’t weird or new age-y. Most of Tyrrell’s information is solidly scientific and/or Biblically based. But some things seem to have taken some liberty with the actual Biblical narrative and are based off of Jewish folklore or his own opinion. Therefore, I can’t 100% get on board right out of the gate here; I have further study to do.

Still, I can’t give the book a bad review. It was well written, and while it didn’t answer all my questions, it gave me a springboard for further research.

This interesting book was a gift from my family knowing I was a writer, artist, and poet. Michael brings to life some of the science and physics I never learned at school but has been there from the beginning when God created light and sound. His thesis on the frequencies of light and color rang true to my artist's mind and heart. He gives a full and simple explanation for the Key of David, a frequency used by King David to tune his harp and given by God. This is a fascinating read for anyone who is interested in the science of sound and color and the practice of healing through the arts.

This book introduced me to some new ideas and helped explore some things I was already curious about. The writer didn’t go into as much detail as I would’ve liked on some topics, but I appreciate the fact that several other books were recommended for further research. This allows the reader to seek out the finer details if desired. I also appreciated the thorough list of sources, which again allows the reader to seek out further detail on most — if not all — of the topics covered. The accompanying CD set gets a 5-star rating!

Easy book to read, not very long, interesting material. I got the book with the Wholetones CD set (instrumental music), and I think the music is fantastic. I’d give the music 5 stars, and I highly recommend the entire package, great for meditation. Not sure the book would mean much to me on its own. But if you get the CDs, then I think reading through this makes sense and there’s some really good parts to it as well, especially for fellow musicians (as I am).

Important book for our times. It would behove musicians to read this book so they can tune their instruments to beneficial and even healing frequencies if they don’t know the information yet. The brief history of tunings was fascinating. It has given me a foundation for paying attention to issues on this front. The more you know, the more you notice.
His music has been very helpful to our family and pets.

Opened my eyes to a topic I had no idea about. As a musician, it left me in awe quite a few times! I’m excited to research the topic more. The text is very religious and persuasive.
