Forbidden love is dangerous.
And oh so tempting.
I rejected my mate…permanently. And I’ve been shamed ever since. But as a Royal from the powerful Alexander pride, I’ve avoided paying the price for protecting myself. Until now.

With a shifter war brewing, my freedom has run out. I’ve been designated as a breeder female, and if I don’t pick a new breeding partner, one will be chosen for me.

The only problem is the man I love can’t get me pregnant. Josh is human. Even kissing him is wrong, but we can’t stay away from each other. He’s my beloved human. I marked him as a way to keep him safe from the dangers of my world. Basically, I own him–at least according to shifter law–and I'll do anything to protect him. And that…well, that complicates things.

But Josh is convinced we’re fated mates. He’s not letting me go and doesn’t care about any rule saying he can’t keep me. And he’s not above playing dirty to get what he wants.

Honestly, I’m not sure who owns who at this point, but breaking the Shifter Council’s ultimatum brings consequences I’m not sure either of us will survive.

⚠ This book contains scenes that will make you blush (and re-read) but don’t expect a sweet fairy-tale romance. In the Shifter World, only the strong survive. Contains dark fantasy aspects.

This was a good shifter romance book. I have not yet read the rest of the series, but I will go back and read it. I enjoyed the characters in this book. The story line seems to flow smoothly from book to book with different characters having their main story line while other characters are still around as side characters.

The chemistry between Mira and Josh was fantastic! Very steamy and full of suspense (will they, won't they kind of thing.) They would get close and then Mira would pull away thinking she was protecting Josh. I wanted to scream at some points - Just do it already! When Josh can finally convinces her to give it a try - holy hot!!

His gaze drifted to her. He couldn't help it. Mira acted as a magnet, always pulling his attention back to her.

The shifters in this series were different than in any other series I have read. The main characters, the Royals, can shift into 3 different animals that live within them. That added element makes the characters more interesting.

I would highly recommend this book/series to everyone!

You know that moment you finish a book and you're just staring at the page, with your mouth slightly open in shock, only to turn the page, reminding you it's actually over? Yep, that happened to me yesterday with this third installment of Royal Pride. This series is the first one I've been engaged in that has THREE Feline's housing one shifter. Hence the reference of being a Royal. Only Royal shifters are this blessed. But when a human turns out to be a true mate to one of these female Royals, the rules of the goddesses don't seem work the same way they do with the alpha male Royals. This is where we find ourselves in this installment.

Mira is an alpha female Royal who has been living a cursed life for the past three hundred years. From the moment she was born, the Royal goddesses bestowed a prophecy that actually damned her more than anything. Not only was she permanently emotionally scarred by a mating event, but now she's being forced by the Shifter Council to take a mate from her pride. This should be flashing "red alert" everywhere, right? Yep. Here's the other main issue. Ever since she's moved to town with her pride, she can't seem to stop the pull she feels toward the human that owns the local bar everyone spends their time at.

Josh is the human that everyone was forced to "accept" in to their pack after his brother adopted a baby that turned out to be a Royal shifter cub (Royal Pride #1). Although he's been accepted in to the pride, he's human. And is reminded of it every-single-day because he too can't draw his attention anywhere else but toward Mira. It's a magnetic pull that he's excepted, but convincing Mira that the goddesses may have gotten the whole "true mate" thing slightly wrong becomes and obsession that feels like it could turn in to a train wreck.

Do you know why I loved this installment so much? Because, as a human, I ACTUALLY starting thinking that I could become a shifter too. Yep, I'm that obsessed with PNR's and this series. The way the author was able to incorporate "Royal Law", "Goddess Law", "Shifter Law", and any other Law I might be forgetting was absolutely creatively awesome. And I understood it!!! I'm so happy that Mira and Josh got their HEA, but I have to admit that I was just as intrigued with the way they got it. Did I mention how creative it was?

Oh and to top off my excitement, the author bridges this installment with one of her other installments in another series (Kagan Wolves 2). I've NEVER seen or heard of an author who has successfully done this while keeping the integrity of both series intact. And THEN we're blessed with finding out who the next installment is going to be about in this series. O.M.G. Seriously? (Sigh) I. CAN. NOT. WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*I was given this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

Nancy Corrigan’s Favorite Obsession is a fast-paced and thrilling shapeshifter novel. Human, Josh Conway, is determined to make royal cat shifter Mira Moore his. All he needs to do is convince her, her family, and the Shifter Council to accept him. This contemporary PNR takes place in West Virginia and is suitable for adult audiences.

Nancy Corrigan does a fantastic job with her character development. I felt bad for everything that Mira went through. What Edmund did to her was appalling. I like her twin, Devin. He is honorable and cares deeply for her. I love Josh. He went through some interesting changes throughout the story. I like Josh’s sister, Zoe. I am interested in finding out more about her and Kade. Micah Krisban was a noteworthy antagonist.

The plot was unique and carefully thought out. The lack of rights the female shifters have drove me crazy. They are behind in women’s liberation. The Shifter Council was quite meddlesome and added interesting conflict to the story. A lot happened in Favorite Obsession that kept this story exciting and hard to put down. This was the first story I have read in the Royal Pride Series. I am now interested in reading the initial two stories and continuing to follow this series.

This may just be Corrigan’s best work to date! It caused me an epically fantastic sleepless night as I opened the book to read the first chapter before bed and ended up reading the entire novel in a single sitting. The plot was full of twists and turns, keeping me endlessly on my toes. The vivid descriptions made the action and romance easy to picture.

Corrigan’s phenomenal world building, in all aspects of the story and pride, made this such a realistic and engaging experience for me. The intricacies with Corrigan’s cat shifters make the story even better. The differences between the royal and common shifters, who can and can’t take certain mates, and the interplay with the gods is so ingrained in the story.

The complicated relationship between the main characters was one of a kind. I was completely caught up with them. I fell in love with Josh when we first met him earlier in the series but he really shone here. His mix of human and shifter attributes made him extra memorable. Seeing Mira come into her own, finally standing up for herself was remarkable. This couple really shone & captured my attention.

Corrigan drew me in with her unforgettable characters, made my blood boil with the sizzling sex, and kept me coming back for more with the heartfelt storyline. This is one story that I’ll be reading time & time again and that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

The intrigue and sexual tension continues in this third installment in the Royal Pride series where a prophecy seeks to keep two unrequited lovers apart. In this engaging and sensual story that puts a paranormal twist on the Romeo and Juliet theme readers can't help but be drawn to the intriguing characters, life or death situations, and unrelenting sexual tension surrounding not only the main couple but secondary ones as well whose stories are yet to be told. Fans of shifter stories will definitely want to get on board this intriguing and steamy journey to happiness and longevity that this series conveys perfectly and the exciting promise of more to come.

Royal Feline Shifter Mira still carries the physical and emotional scars of a forced mating long ago and doesn't want to be forced into that situation again. Though she's had some encounters since that night she's most content lusting after beloved human Josh until the day it's decreed she be forced into mating once again. She wants to be claimed for who she is in her heart and soul, not as some incubator or sexual toy which is how most shifter males see her. Josh is different though. She's drawn to him despite the fact that he'll die long before her and a prophecy proclaims she'll kill him if she claims him. She's willing to fight fate and her family to have the one man who makes her feel like a woman which results in heartbreak along the way as well as an unexpected twist of fate. I admired Mira from the first glimpse of her in a previous book. She's strong-willed and not afraid to flex her claws to fight for Josh. She's extremely loyal to those she gives her heart to and the perfect match for the kind of man Josh becomes throughout the story.

Josh is one of the few humans in the Feline Pride's world and as their beloved human he's granted their protection. Loving Mira though puts him at odds with fate as well as those he calls friends. As a human he's not allowed to claim her as their mating will not result in the coveted children desperately desired by her clan. There's also the possibility that she'll kill him when she claims him. None of these things deter him as he's always been drawn to her. When a stabbing leads to an unexpected twist of fate, Josh senses that despite what everyone thinks he's meant to be with Mira and officially stakes his claim. With the changes he's going through, the sexual tension intensifies as does the jealousies between the men fighting to claim her. A one-night stand soon interferes in his plan and places Mira in danger which results in him having to fight not only shifters but crazed and drugged-up hillbillies. Josh is an immensely strong-willed and charming man who has eyes only for Mira. He's not afraid to fight for what he wants even against those obviously stronger than him. He readily accepts the changes fate has dealt him which gives a clever snub to an archaic and domineering prophecy.

The relationship between Mira and Josh is at times sweet and always super sexy. Their clandestine meetings are heartbreakingly hot and reflect the desperation the prophecy has caused them. Along with this compelling main couple comes a cast of secondary characters we've seen in the previous installments, particularly engaging are the males who amp up the sexual tension further in their battle for Mira. There's also another love match forming between the stubborn Kade and an unexpectedly snarky female who is definitely giving him a run for his money here and which I look forward to seeing flourish in the next installment. Ms. Corrigan continues to delight and entertain in this cleverly crafted paranormal series with its sexy shifters, fast-paced storyline, and intriguing promises for the future and I highly recommend it to those looking for a shifter series that's set itself apart from the rest of the genre.

~ 5 Obsession Stars ~

The moment I started reading I could not put Favorite Obsession down till I was finished. This is my first experience reading Nancy Corrigan and I'll I can say is Amazing, Spectacular and Hot. I want more! I was pulled into her shifter world and taken on a hot sexy run. The writing was fabulous. Nancy, weaves such a wonderful realistic tail, that we get pulled into the characters lives. Favorite Obsession is book three in Nancy Corrigan’s Royal Pride series and can be read as a stand alone. We get intrigue, sexual tension, action, a little humor and hot sex.

Josh, a human, was thrown into the shifter world. He is a hotty and very alpha. He new the moment he laid eyes on Mira that she is his end all (one and only). He follows the shifter rules, because he is an honorary member of the pack, but he won’t sit back and let his women be taken from him.

Mira, is a Royal shifter. Mira has not had an easy life. A prophecy about her and her babies has lived over her head since the day she was born. This prophecy has caused Mira heartache. She puts on a brave face, but she is lonely and miserable.

I just loved both Josh and Mira together. They both go through some tuff emotional struggles and some big hurtles to be together. We see Mira struggle with resisting her fated one and we see Josh fight for his women even when the odds are way against him. I loved how Josh sees Mira for who she is and not for the prophecy. I liked the plot it was interesting and the Shifter Council are just so bad. They are forcing Mira to pick a mate and procreate, but Josh will not have it. He may not be shifter, but he is very much all alpha.

Mira and Josh are sizzling together once they succumb to their attraction. The sex in this book will make your panties wet. Oh baby! It was nice watching Mira give up power and submit to Josh and learn to trust him. I enjoyed all the secondary characters and now I want to go back and read the first two books. I also enjoyed getting introduced to Zoe (Josh's sister), who has attitude! She add that little humor in this book and when she meets Kade, well lets just say the author has set up her fourth book perfectly.

This is a must read for all erotic paranormal romance fans. You will not be disappointed. The writing is superb. The sex is off the charts . The characters are interesting. Not once did I get board. I will be reading all the books in this series and Nancy Corrigan has gone onto my authors to read list.

Favorite Obsession is book 3 in Nancy Corrigan’s Royal Pride series. A series that is so good I want to wallow in the paranormal genre, which I’ve neglected for too long. Although you can certainly read each book as a standalone, I encourage you to start with book one, Treasured Find. It’s a slick piece of goodness that sets the foundation for a unique shifter world and the plethora of characters involved. As the series progresses, Ms. Corrigan adds more layers to this already intriguing, emotional, and complex story of feline shifters living among humans in a backwoods West Virginia town.

Mira’s life has been ruled by a prophecy decreed at birth by the Goddesses. She is meant to bear the children destined to change the world. The Goddesses have a tendency to be rather cryptic so it’s anyone’s guess what it really means. The prophecy seems straightforward, however, between the Council’s interpretation as well as her Pride Alpha, Kade’s, visions, it’s up for grabs. Mira is a tough cookie. In her 300 plus years, she’s endured more than her share of tragedy. So much so that she has given up on finding her True Mate, the one destined to share a piece of her soul for eternity. That is until she meets Josh. The only problem…Josh is human, which pretty much takes him out of the running for anything other than a fling. Much to her confusion, the three cats that reside within Mira think otherwise. She and Josh have had a chemistry of the fireworks variety since the day they set eyes on each other. Kade and Mira’s twin Devin have demanded Mira stay away from Josh. As painful as it’s been, they’ve complied. But when the Council suddenly demands Mira take a mate within one month, Josh and Mira decide to throw caution to the wind.

Josh has gotten used to the feline shifters and their oftentimes strange ways. His attraction to Mira is all consuming, uncontrollable, and baffles the hell out of him. When he’s around her strange things happen to his body and mind. Screw the prophecy and the rules. His heart tells him she is his mate, and he will overcome any and all obstacles to make her his. Including the fact that he’s human.

I was hoping Ms. Corrigan would tell Josh and Mira’s tale and, let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations! THIS is how you write a love story. Josh and Mira are the definition of true love. Their chemistry is sigh-worthy, and when Josh turns on his alpha the sex is panty melting. Not only is the writing superb as usual, the twists and turns reveal shocking developments that serve to make this fast-paced story even better. Royal Pride is a first rate paranormal series, Favorite Obsession being my absolute favorite so far.

Have I mentioned how much I love this series, and this author?

I've been trying to put my finger on why this series, above other supernatural series appeals to me, and I think I have it. I think it is the writing. Nancy, weaves such a wonderful and realistic tale, that it is hard to not get involved in the characters lives. It is almost like I have to remind myself that it is not real, and just all made up. I think that is the key to being a magnificent write, when the reader forgets that what they are reading is not real.

This story is a little but different, in that it focuses on Mira, who is a Royal shifter and Josh, who is just a guy thrown into the shifter world, when his brother is murdered and he gets custody of his niece, who happens to be a shifter. Mira, who is Devin's twin sister has lead a hard life. She was force mated when she was little by a shifter who wanted to fulfill a prophecy about Mira's babies, and when he tried to rape her, she killed him. She has spent the last few hundred years alone and miserable, putting on a brave face for her brother, who suffered her punishment, turning away suitors who just want to use her as a breeding machine. Until she meets Josh. Josh is just a man, and could care less about a prophecy about Mira and her babies. All he knows is that she is the most stunning woman he has ever seen. Both of them fight the intense attraction they have for each other, because no female shifter has ever mated a human male, there is no possible way for it to happen and for Josh to survive. When the Council forced Mira to pick a mate and procreate, all hell breaks lose, because there is no way Josh is going to sit back and let that happen. He may not be a shifter but he is allll alpha and no one is going to force his woman to mate anyone but him.

Josh is such a hotty. He knows he wants Mira, he knows she is the one, and he doesn't give a crap about all the other rigmarole that is going on. He abides by the shifter rules because he is an honorary member of the pack, but there is no way he is going to sit back and let them take Mira away from him. When they succumb to their attraction Mira and Josh together are electric!!!! Unable to resist each other anymore, after fighting to keep away from each other, and what ever the feelings they have for each other they decide to face it head on. Mira is so confused by everything that is going on, she knows that Josh is her one, but that has never happened before, female shifters are all about honor and breeding, not falling in love and finding their one, especially when their one is a human male. Josh is all instinct and after a series of situations happens he does what comes naturally to him and takes control of the situation.

Some of the best scenes are watching Mira submit to Josh, it is so lovely watching her give over centuries of power to Josh, and trusting and knowing that he will protect her, even though she is the ultimate predator. I was literally on the edge of my seat at one point, almost yelling at the book!!! And hearing Josh call Mira 'kitten' has me getting all swoony. I love when I get that involved in book, it makes my day. I loved all the secondary characters in the book, its nice to read more about Devin, Lena Rafe and Jazz and also get introduced to Zoe (Josh's sister), who has attitude!! I love it, when she is injured Kade is forced to heal her and she becomes his beloved human. I love how she calls the Royal pride leader her pretty kitty...... soooo cool. As with the other 2 books I loved this book. I would just like to put in my request that the next book be about Zoe and Kade please!!!!!!

Wow.
That's the first word that comes to mind.
Disappointment - because I've finished reading it!

For me, this was hands down the best of the series so far.

I was a little hesitant after Devlin's tale in the last book, bu i had nothing to fear.
This was a brilliantly written book, beautiful descriptions, captivating characters, and an extremely unusual storyline, which i couldn't get enough of.

I'm not going to write much about this as i don't want to spoil any secrets, but i will give you a general overview.

Josh is a human. He owns and runs the local bar and is guardian to Megan, a young shifter. He also is a "beloved human" of Mira, a female royal shifter. And he cant get his mind off her.

Mira, feels exactly the same way but according to Royal shifter laws, only the MEN are allowed to take human mates.
Mira has been the subject of a prophecy that states her cubs will herald a new dawn for the shifters. Shes also been given a time limit by the Council to find a mate by the end of the month....
The suitors that came for her......held no chance whatsoever of getting Mira's heart. But to be blunt, they didn't want that. They didn't care about Mira as a woman. They wanted to be involved in the prophecy.

One night locking the bar, Josh is stabbed fatally by a local hick. He literally has the knife in him up to the hilt and guts spliced open. Resigning to the fact he cant do anything, he lays, waiting to die. Something weird happened when he lay there. He was (in his mind) seeing a golden woman who said and did things that he cant get his head round......but he wakes up, alive, and with barely a scratch on his stomach.

The other shifters are trying to save his life by keeping him away from Mira - he has been pinpointed as a threat to be killed. But they cant see what, of all people, Devlin finally admits to seeing....

I loved it. I haven't read a book that i haven't wanted to put down in quite a while and i was worried id lost interest in reading...Ms Corrigan has rekindled it, and if you love your paranormal and with a lot of sizzling (and it IS sizzling - not seedy or unneeded sex) pages - you need to read this series!!

Favorite Quotes

“Devin’s cats don’t like her.”
He chuckled. “Devin’s cats don’t like anyone. That’s not anything new.”

“So I guess you didn’t come in here so I could ravish you.” Not that he had time to indulge in her but he hated losing any moment with Mira.
She wrapped her hands around his waist and snuggled close, her cheek over his heart. “Please, Josh, just stop. I’d like nothing more than to go upstairs with you. It can’t happen.”

“You got that backward. He’s my kitty,” she whispered. Her eyes widened. “I should get tags for him so I don’t lose him.”

“Mira, my kitten, I want you.”
The swirling yellow overcame the white. Her gaze mapped his face, desire making her lids heavy. She swept the tip of her pink tongue across her upper lip. Her scent—spicy, sweet and full of life—filled his lungs. He leaned closer, dragged a deep lungful in and moaned as she imprinted herself on him. God, he’d never be complete without her.
“Need you, baby. Tell me you need me too. That you want this. Us.”

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in the series and it is an excellent one. Josh is a hot sexy human who has fallen in love with Mira who is a shifter. There are several problems with them getting together. One of the problems is the major one he is human and if she mates him she will kill him. Well that is what she thinks. Second problem is the council has informed her she must choose a shifter mated or they will. The third is that well I can’t give all the story away now can I. What I can say it all is not what it seems. Will Mira choose her mate that she wants? Or will the council choose for her? Or will Josh have something up his sleeve that will change everything?

I love this series, the author is a great writer and the story flows and you wish you could have a shifter all to yourself also. There is love, sex, hot sex, shifting, anger, tears, fear and hot sexy shifters throughout this story.

I want the next book now! I love this series but this by far was my favorite. Josh and Mira were meant for each but they went through hell before they became mates. The author proved in this book that love does conquer all.. even dominating shifters.

Mira has had a very rough life. Even once she met Josh it was still rough wanting a man she wasn’t allowed to have. I think her strength was my favorite thing about her. She always persevered on no matter what she went through. Her ability to want to protect her family was nothing to sneeze at either. I was so happy that she got her happy ending even though it didn’t happen like I thought it would.

Josh knew at first sight that Mira was his. Too bad none of her family believed him. Eventually he got through to her and with the help of a “gold” lady he was able to save more people than just Mira. He was a very stubborn man but it worked out well for him. I did think maybe he was a little out there because of all the times he attacked shifters. Boy he had some balls. Lol

The plot was amazing. Their happy ending was far above anything I could have hoped for. I especially liked how Mira and Josh saved so many whose love had hurt them. It *may have* brought tears to my eyes because I thought it was so romantic. The sex was… quite vigorous lol and I think Josh’s bar has seen quite of bit of action. I also CAN NOT wait for the traitor on the council to get his due. Bad bad Kitty!!!

I am looking forward to the next book and I really really hope that it is Kade’s & Zoe’s. Though I would enjoy reading Vader’s and Xander’s too. Lol I think it is a quite a feat that Nancy has made me fall in love with so many characters in just three books.

~Special thank you to the author for a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.~

With sweet and hot romance and a lovely story, Favorite Obsession was a fantastic paranormal/erotic romance read. I really liked this fabulous book. It was a wonderful, enjoyable read.

Mira was a lovely heroine. She was tough and definitely not a girl to mess with. She was determined to keep her loved ones safe, even if it was from herself. I thought she was a wonderful character.

Josh was also great. He was so very sweet and utterly adorable. He might have been a human among shifters, but it would be a mistake to underestimate him. He was a force to be reckoned with, strong enough to face on shifters, and determined to protect the people he cared about. He was amazing and I adored him.

The romance was both sweet and steamy. Mira and Josh were great together. Their feelings for each other were always clear and I liked that, no matter what the situation, they never doubted them. And, the heat level was on fire! There were quite a few fan-your-face, super steamy scenes between these two. I thought they were a perfect couple.

The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely. I really like this series, especially this addition, and I can't wait to read the next one!

Favorite Obsession was a delight of a hot shifter romance. The romance was sweet and steamy and the story was entertaining and enjoyable. I really liked every bit of it. Romance lovers, this is a book you won't want to miss.

Book 3 of Royal Pride is very passionate. That's what I love about this author, sometimes her books are mild and other times they are so passionate, you will need a fire hose!

Mira is convinced that the goddess has forsaken her. As a Royal female she has been sought after by the single shifters all her life so that they may gain immortality through her, but only as a breeding female who is part of a prophesy. The Counsel has dictated that she can only mate a Royal, or single shifter, problem is she has been attracted to her beloved human Josh from the moment she set eyes on him. Female Royals were decreed by the goddess that they could not mate humans like the males can, because the human would die.

Josh has felt a strong attachment to Mira from the moment she healed the wound made by her twin and became her beloved human. He has fought the attraction they both feel for each other, but it has only become stronger. Now he is faced with losing his chance with her forever and he must find a way to convince her that they are meant to be together despite what the counsel may say. Time is running out and Josh feels his life is draining out of him, but this just may be the solution.

These 2 souls are fighting all the powers to be together forever and death is lingering above their heads. Very suspenseful and intriguing story that will have you fanning yourself throughout the story with the passion between them.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am so enjoying this series. If you have followed the series at all then you probably have already fell in love with Josh and Mira. Nancy Corrigan has one amazing imagination and you can well tell that in this story. I so love when you see an author’s creativity in their writing.

Josh Conway has had it hard. He is human and in love with a Royal. A Royal is a shifter that houses 3 animals. It has to be hard living among the shifters, expected to follow their rules, and yet not be worthy enough to claim the woman he loves. Josh has been in love with Mira since the moment he laid eyes on her.

Mira has a lot on her plate. She has found her true mate. The problem is he is human. She feels the gods must truly hate her. Why would they send someone that is her true mate that would be someone she could not have. Mira is being forced by the Shifter Council to take a mate. I can not imagine the hurt and pain Mira must of felt when she heard this. She feels she is nothing more then a incubator. Her life goal is to breed.

I love Josh’s determination. It seems the more that is thrown his way the more determined he gets. He truly as a heart of an Alpha. He will do what ever it takes to fight for Mira. I do not want to give away to much in this book. There is a lot that happens and several surprises along the way. Lets just leave it as Josh is determined to make his own rules to get what he wants and has some help along the way.

The third book in the Royal Pride is a thrilling paranormal romance that grabs the reader’s heart and keeps them on the edge of their seat. The readers can’t help but get emotionally caught up in their story as well as all the other drama and suspense. This fascinating world and enchanting characters has been awesome so far and I have enjoyed each book immensely, but this one may just be my favorite… so far, I can hardly wait for the next one.

A human and a Royal, no way-yes way.

Human Josh Conway has known about shifters for a while and is an honorary member of the Alexander pack. Josh is drawn into their world after the death of his brother and a vow to care for his brother's adopted daughter Megan. So when the Alexanders relocate to West Virginia, Josh also does. Whereby he can continue his growing attraction to Devin's twin Mira once he becomes her "beloved human."

Mira's the most complicated female in this series thus far. As a Royal female shifter, Mira's sought after by Royals and single shifters alike. But, unfortunately, there is no room in her life for a human man. Nevertheless, Mira's attraction to Josh is mutual despite all the warnings from alpha Kade and the devil himself, Devin.

Everyone has an agenda. The Royals want to breed her; the single shifters want her for immortality, and Josh just wants the woman. If that isn't enough, the Shifter Council sees fit to allow her long-dead rapist Edmund's cousin to "court" her. Decisions, decisions, decisions-and Mira, cannot make any. As a female shifter, her input is of little value to the Council.

Josh goes through a metamorphosis from human to other, yet the author repeatedly states through her characters that shifters are born and can not be bitten or scratched and become a shifter. Not sure what Josh is or isn’t, but it’s way too confusing to try to figure out. It’s also a lame explanation to gain our acceptance of Mira and Josh mating. Furthermore, the goddess supposedly only speaks to the shifters, yadda, yadda, and yadda, a three-sixty from books one and two. Finally, the more the author writes Josh as alpha, the more Mira becomes human with the occasional reminder that she is a predator.

Favorite Obsession is the best in the series thus far because there is an actual story unfolding before the main characters jump into bed--although the sexual tension leading up to the act is a bit unbearable at times. However, once Mira and Josh hit the sack, the story morphs into the previous two books. Fortunately, only in the last ten or so chapters instead of the entire book. More story, less sex is a better tale than the first two with less overkill. Kade is still in everybody's business, but that could lessen some since he has a beloved human.

Surprisingly, Kade and Zoe's story, which drew my interest, is not the next book in this series but is instead book four, Possessed, in Corrigan's Shifter Affairs series.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 3.5 stars.

Fantastic Book

This is my first time reading this author and I love this series, I can't get enough of it. This is the 3rd book in her Royal-Kagan Series. I have read the first 2 as well.

This author knows how to write a book that draws her readers in and doesn't let them go. I was so emotionally invested in these characters that I found myself laughing, crying and cheering for them but I was also so mad at how Mira was treated by the male shifter's, they just expected her to blindly follow what they told her. Unfortunately, for them Mira is a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. She can take care of herself and most others. She's a kick ass woman that goes after what she wants and she wants Josh.

Josh, is a human but if he was a shifter he would be an Alpha. He loves Mira and vows to protect her and make her his mate. He's not afraid of the Shifter's as he can hold his own against them.

Mira and Josh are explosive when the get together. This book is not for the shy. If you like steamy love screens than this is the book for you, if not read Nancy Corrigan's tamer book by her alter ego, Dana Archer titled "Josh" is the one for you.

I would recommend this book and especially this series to anyone who likes Paranormal books, you will not be disappointed.

I am now going to download book 4, Chance of Love " along with the rest of the series.

P. S. Can't wait to read Kade and Zoe's story!!!

Enjoy!! 😃

Lets just leave it as Josh is determined to make his own rules to get what he wants and has some help along the way.

tough love for stubbornness

I rate this a 3.5 but rounded up the stars because of how intense it got sometimes with the topic of rape and abuse, and because the sex was good, and there were some really cool moments of that “awe” you generally get from shifters.

I don’t know why, but I just can’t get into the pull and push of this romance. It’s all centered on (dubious) sex that only gets the “quote on quote” because you hear the heroine- HEAR the heroine -talking about how she DOES want it but CANT because she HAS to think about the guy and how she’ll just keep telling him NO and STOP even though inside she’s like GOD YES. That type of heroine just isn’t for me right now. The sex gets hot, yes. But the guys just get so pushy and the only saving grace is that they’re soul-sure that the woman wants them. If there was ever any doubt, I’d hate this so much. Instead I’m just annoyed by the way I feel when reading. There’s something missing for me.

I like that the author went dark for the shifter world. It sucks, but that’s just how it is.

I like seeing everyone because they make it more wholesome for me. I love it a lot.

Overall it was good. I enjoyed it. Sometimes I got irritated, but I didn’t hate this. I’m fascinated by this growing world.

My new favorite obsession

Josh Conway has had countless flings over the years and even been in love before with Jazz but it just wasn't enough. He always felt like there was something missing, something more that he needed. He finds all that and more with a single look into Mira's kaleidoscope colored eyes! Mira is one pf the last royal feline females and to make life harder has had a prophecy over her life that has brought her and her time centuries of guilt, heartaches and pain. Stronger now than ever the godness brings her into position to everything she ever hoped for, if she can be honest and brave enough to take it and hold on.

Another great read and once again now I must find next in the series as I am now well and truly hooked.

With each book I read in this series I become less interested which makes me sad because I loved book 1. It was such a refreshing take on the shifter romance. Now 3 books in and it feels like the plot for each book has been the same just cut and paste the name of the alpha and his true mate. There has been very little progress in the overall story arc of the twin girl shifters who were the last of their kind and then book 3 on top of being a finding your true mate tale we add this weird goddess vision subplot that honestly kind of took over and at the end left me wishing the author would return to the story about the twins and not repeat this true mate lover business in every book.

This is the last one I own in the series and I doubt at this stage I will continue reading them.

Omg I’m loving this series, this read is slightly different to the previous as it centres around a female royal, Mira and her human mate Josh. Obviously the previous reads suggest this match can not survive but will the Goddess intervene or will she leave Mira to a fate worse than death???
I loved this book, great read, great characters, and writing. The angst is high, so are the betrayals, mistrust and lies but this book has a lot of love, friendship and obviously some serious sex scenes. If that’s not what you enjoy reading, shifter books aren’t for you but this series has it all. Would highly recommend to supernatural lovers.

Josh is a mere mortal who was marked by a Royal, Mira. Mira gave him her royal blood to heal him and that act sealed their fate. They have so much against them including a prophecy that doesn't bode well for the couple. Their love is forbidden but, an unlikely alley just might make their dreams come true. Josh and Mira will do anything to be together as Mira is forced to find a shifter mate. Josh is strong for a human and determined to break the rules that state they can't be together. If anyone can convince the goddesses that Mira and Josh belong together, it's him.

This story was just as gripping as the last one. This series is so hard to put down!

Josh & Mira

This is the third book in the series. It tells Josh and Mira’s story, it was good, a little bit drawn out but still good. I liked how the other characters are all in each book, it really brings the feeling of the pride or pack. I didn’t like how much secrecy there is among the shifters though, it makes you feel as though they haven’t been though everything together for centuries because the trust isn’t there.

Best one in the series yet

I obviously enjoyed the first two in the series and I kept reading but Josh had to go through so much from everyone. He was super patient, while being hot and possessive. So much creativity here. I have so many questions about how this will impact other pairings. I really want to skip to Kade now to. You must Read this book of you like shifter romance.

Love it 📙

Pretty good book, love the characters, their strength, love and commitment. Love some of the action scene in this book, the love part are good, but I think also that there are too much. Of the series this particular book i like a lot. Why? Because the story on this one is different and add life to the series.

Josh and Mira!

Book 3 in the series, this was a jaw dropper! Josh is a very strong alpha male but unfortunately human. Mira is a Royal female and forbidden to mate with a human. Their story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Some deffenit surprises that will make the Royal's rethink things.

Just Keeps On Getting Better

I said the last one was my favorite but now it's this one. Everything is changing in the shifter world and I loved it.
I laughed, cried and got so mad I had to put the book down to calm down. All signs of a great author.
Very well written. Adult read. Highly recommended
