voted one of the best from the early years by readers, the best thing I found in this was the cover, an optical illusion, but not a bad story of inheritance by someone who wants more than what he figures he will get

One of the early adventures sees The Shadow involved in a treasure hunt that involves a mysterious skull while pitted against a hidden mastermind. Like the best pulps penned by Gibson the reader is left guessing the mastermind's identity until the climax.

When it comes to pulp heroes there are 2 or 3 great standouts and the Shadow is one of those. The stories are fast paced and action filled. The mystery just adds to the excitement. With his army of agents to help the Shadow never lets you down for a great read. Highly Recommended
