Way too basic. I can't get rid of a feeling that beginners might want to get a tad more meat than the general blah-blah-yahoo-dash from an introductive read. Though, of course, I just might be mistaken.
This book did not really add to few things I already had gathered about Big Data - Big Data is huge and it should be used wisely. I lacked particular examples on how Big Data is being used in real life. Good that it was a fast read and didn't take too much time. Otherwise - I don't think this expanded much on my previous knowledge. Too bad.
The book is very basic. Probably for someone who doesn't understand what big data is all about. Not suitable for anyone who has a decent idea of the topic
Some good info, lack of editing makes it unreadable
Struggled through almost half of this book before I gave up. Numerous good ideas and concepts, buried under sentence fragments, blatantly incorrect usage that smells strongly of spell check ("by" where "but" should have been used, etc). I finally quit not because the content was bad, but because I simply tired of rereading sentences over and over again to determine what word had been mistakenly inserted by spell check.
A quick read that provides the listener with a general overview of basic terminology and concepts of big data. I'm not in the tech industry so a lot of the language went over my head but it was simple enough that I was able to better understand ways to capture and use data. Although the reader was a bit monotonous and there wasn't much expression in the examples, it was Overall a good read with examples for a beginner to big data.
