An arranged marriage to the Russian hitman... and his twin brother? It's an outrage!

Mafia princess Marie Lauro always knew that duty to the family was worth any sacrifice, but she never believed her father would order her to be married against her wishes.

Roman and Alek Borosliev are new pawns in the ongoing turf war between the Russian Mob and Italian Mafia. Twenty years of peace is nearly shattered when Roman receives orders that he is to take the Mafia princess as his bride. But the Russian twins have ideas of their own about what kind of bride they really want, ideas that would shock the Italians if they knew.

The last thing a hitman wants is a wife. But the only way they'll be safe is in each other's arms. How can this blood-soaked union survive?

BONUS! The full length serial "Billionaire Brothers" is included as a special thank you to my readers!

***Standalone, full-length novel with bonus material. HEA menage romance with bad boys, violence, swearing, arranged marriage but NO CHEATING! ***

Owned: A Mafia Menage Romance by Meg Watson was gifted to me in an ARC in exchanged for a honest review. I don't mind Menage books especially if they are very well written. And when it comes to this Author she always knows how to deliver a good Menage story, but what made this story even better was adding two hot Russian Mafia brothers. When Marie gets involved with Roman and Alek she opens up a can of worms she was not ready for. Because these two men are about to become a big part of her life, and at first when she thinks they are just her one nightstand she is infatuated with them, but when she comes to find out that one of the brothers is going to become her new husband. She is pissed and doesn't want to marry him. But what Marie doesn't understand is she not only getting one brother forever but she getting them both. At first she hates the idea of being with them period. As their story continues they start to come together and Marie starts to see how much they both love her. And how they are all three perfect for each other. If you have not read this book you should check it out.

Once the story took off it was good. Would have been a great novel but so much was rushed and the beginning was so confusing that it just left me wanting...

Ridiculously hot, but I wish we'd gotten to see a little bit more depth of character. Yeah, I just said I wanted to see more chardev in an erotica novella. #UnpopularOpinionTime

The premise is to make peace between the Bratva & Mafia, the Russians are going to marry off one of their heirs to an Italian princess. Trouble is, someone's out to kill them. (What? It's an organised crime set-up. You knew that was going to be the plot.) Who is it? Which family has the traitor? And more importantly, will Marie ever grow the fuck up? (Spoilers: no.) The Borosliev twins are rather juxtaposed, as it only proper in these kinds of things - Roman's the hitman with the scarred face who pushes and pushes until either the other party caves or he gets the fight he's looking for, while Alek's the still-pretty mover and shaker who likes to play.

Marie honestly got on my nerves most of the book. She was alright in the beginning when she started to show some spine, but after that she turned into a whiny, naive little bitch. She stood up for herself at all the wrong times and caved constantly without any kind of real fight. Alek was cute and funny and hard when he needed to be. (Er, personality-wise.) It would've been nice to see more of that, to see him when he really needed to get down to business. Roman was interesting, and I wish we'd gotten to explore a bit more of his personality. We were told he's just a big teddy bear at one point, but no, no he's not. He's got an interesting kink in that doing his job turns him on, and he's more than a little bit on the domineering side.

Overall, it was a good read. Nothing special, but worth the $1 price tag. (I wouldn't pay full price for it at $3, however.)

I started out really enjoying Owned. Unfortunately not only did the end feel rushed, the story about Roman, Marie and Alek ended only 33% into the book. Was left feeling very disappointed.

I can't in good conscious recommend this book. The author has potential but so far what I've read is not good. That includes Owned and the Billionaire Brothers: The Complete Serial (Parts #1-#4).

A hesitant 3 stars. Wow, just wow. So many components that I love. Ménage, mafia, big burly alfa men, protector trope…it was all there. Early on I found myself thinking this is so great, but I can’t wait to see what happens when…? And then I found myself thinking that again, and again. Roman and Alek are well written as Russian brothers who share everything, including women, but why? There must be a backstory to that. Marie is portrayed (repeatedly) as a tiny little thing, but I never really got a good visual on her, I kept waiting for a description of some sort, but it never stood out. I was willing to roll with the fact that Marie was a virgin when she was with them her first time, but if the concern (as written) was that Roman would hurt her because she is such a tiny little thing, how could these guys NOT know she was a virgin? No evidence? And then for that issue to NEVER come up again in the book made no sense. She was chided for not being so innocent by the brothers, but again, it never came up that the hotel was her first time? That was the opportunity for the author to give serious emotional depth to the relationship. That was the opportunity to have Roman reveal how much he loves Marie. Again, I was going to try to roll with it as I did like the story and thought somehow that would be the emotional crux of the book, that and finding out something more in depth about the brothers (their background, more than just a reference to a time when Roman saved his brother). Also, there was a pretty significant reference to the reason that Marie’s house was so thoroughly bugged, something about her mother (from the way her father spoke about her) but again, that issue just disappeared. In the end, I wanted to love this read, but it seemed that entire chapters were missing. Yes, they all live HEA, and again, I really liked the who storyline, I just felt let down by the lack of detail and the amount of open-ended questions about the characters. I will always try a read with this scenario, but I’m afraid this one left me with more questions than answers. This is a highly recommended author, so I’ll probably try something of hers again, but I’m in no hurry.

Not one for lots of drama, blood and guts; however, I was pleasantly surprised by this story line. Marie is the daughter of Italian Mobster and she was promised to a Russian mobster a while back in order to bring some kind of peace between them. Unfortunately, Dimi was killed and she thought that offer was off the table. Well.....surprise! She is working her father's cigar bar when Stosh, who Roman and Alek work for, comes out from a meeting with her father. After Stosh leaves, she learns the offer is still on the table but she doesn't know the person's name. In retaliation, she heads unknown to any place she can find, The Violet Hotel, to hopefully find a man she can give her v-card up to since it seems that is all she controls about her life. Unbeknownst to her, she hooks up with two guys and doesn't realize they are from the Russian Mob until she sees the tattoos.
Marie is scheduled to have dinner at her fathers the next night after the hotel sex to meet her intended husband. Boy did she get a surprise when Roman and Alex (the two guys from the hotel) are sitting at the table. Roman, BTW is a hit-man while Alek has the brains, is very angry over the fact Marie is supposed to be an innocent, young woman because he knows differently. Needless to say, their relationship starts off rocky. Marie has stashed some money away and tries to leave town only to be picked up by men she thinks work for her father. Roman rescues her and starts seeing that something is definitely not right about this whole situation. The two get married and Roman along with Alek continue to dig into what is really going on which eventually he does and the three get a HEA. I enjoyed this book and wish some things had been a little more detailed oriented but that is just me (i.e. the sex scenes and Roman and Alex's past). Still would recommend this book as one to read. Received an ARC for an honest review.

If you like sexy mafia menage then this is for you!

Marie is an Italian mafia princess under her daddy's thumb--that means guards and knowing where she is at all times. After her father has a meeting with the local Russian mafia boss, she finds out that she is about to be married off for the sake of "peace between the families." Having lived all this time as a virgin, she goes out seeking to lose her v-card on her terms. She gets hit on by two tall strong and handsome brothers at a hotel bar and then that is all she wrote. Next day she has to meet the man she is doomed to spend the rest of her life with.

Surprise, surprise....

Roman and his twin Alek have been sent to Chicago to take the place of another Russian mafioso that has been taken out. The only thing that Roman didn't realize was that one of his duties is that he will be marrying an Italian Don's daughter. When he shows up to meet his soon to be wife he is quite surprised to see that it is none other than Marie--his one-night stand from the night before. Both of them are shocked and none to happy with the situation.

Not only do they have to make the best of a bad situation, but now Roman and Alek have to protect Marie and figure out what shady dealings are going on between the two families. Will they push each other away, or will they be able to fall for one another and survive their mafia lifestyle?

Another great read from Meg Watson. Loved the characters and how they interacted (or should I say chose not to) interact with one another. The banter was great, especially when they were trying to be sarcastic while showing they won't bow down to one another. I wish there would have been more romantic encounters between the three, and the ending seemed a little rushed. All in all a great book.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the story of Marie, an Italian Don's daughter, Roman, a Russian mobster, and his brother Alek. Marie first meets the 2 brothers one night when she's out drinking and trying to find someone to rid herself of her v card with. She figures she'll find someone not in the Mafia though, so she goes to what she thinks is the one Mafia-free hotel in the area. Little does she know that the 2 men she will meet in this hotel, the 2 to take her v card are indeed Mafia, but of the Russian persuasion, not Italian. Roman and Alek are very different brothers in looks and temperament, but Marie is attracted to them both. What follows is one hot encounter, but not just an encounter, as she finds the next night when she's introduced to the man her father is forcing her to marry to keep peace between the Italians and the Russians, and that man is Roman.

The story is well written and we get a lot of details about both Roman and Alek and their connection as brothers and how Marie will come to be the woman they both love. I loved Marie, she was sassy and feisty. Roman was hard and scarred but felt deeply. Alek was more easygoing but loved just as deeply. The 3 of them together were perfect.

The only thing I wished for was a more expanded epilogue. Perhaps one that extended further into the future. I would love it if Meg even wrote a 2nd part of their story.

Ugh.

DNF at around 20%. And that included some skimming. This one had all the right ingredients to be my dream book! Mafia, menage, alpha males, SUPER long (over 500 pages? Yes, please.)

Oh, it was so painful. Not only did the characters' actions not make sense, but neither did their thoughts or emotions. I understand battling your thoughts and changing your mind, but over half of the time I was reading I was stuck going "wtf?"

Roman, dude. What are you doing? Even when we're in his POV, nothing is concrete. All three main characters are constantly contradicting themselves (mostly the boys,) and even Marie's dad fell flat for me.

Maybe I had too high of expectations going into this one, but I was just so very disappointed. I forced myself through the first few chapters (beware: you will see the same scene from all three different POVs. However, it doesn't REALLY feel like it, since different dialogue is highlighted each time. That doesn't do it for me. Neither does hearing the two main guys' wonderful opinions on women and their past sexual relationships. And of course the girl is a virgin.) It never really picked up.

Basically, everything felt bland. A scene I was looking forward to was over before it started, and I just didn't see any motivation or feeling from the characters.

I liked the idea, just wasn't a fan of how it was written. I'm mostly just sad right now.

I loved this story; This is the story of Marie and Roman- Marie is an Italian Don's daughter’s and Roman is a Russian mobster. She finds out she is to be married to a Russian Mobster to unite the clans but all Marie can think of is why they are making her do this and how she is being used for “ the family”. It makes her feel like property and not like she is worth anything. So she goes to a bar and ends up giving finding Roman in the bar and they hook up and she gives him her virginity .
The next day, in walks Roman and Alex and she finds out Alex is the man she will be marrying. Roman is known in the mob as the Invisible Man for he is the killer for the mob. And when he sees the woman he slept with the night before as the woman who will be marrying his brother, well, he is blown away.
There is much to the story. Passion, Betrayal , Intrigue, Hope, Broken Innocence, Repaired Joy..Love…oh and you start off with one but end up with three {smile} I do not want to give away the story but this is a true HEA. I loved OWNED and You will find this to be a great story.

Marie, Roman, and Alek

This was a quick read. I didn't realize when I started that there is an entirely different book after Owned. I didn't read any reviews before I started reading, I just went for it. It was a good surprise because the second book was good too. It was a Billionaire Brothers book. I forget the title.

Marie was a an Italian mafia princess in Chicago. Her father kept tabs on her and all times. She couldn't go out for a drink without his soldiers finding her and taking her home. He told her that she was going to marry a man in the Russian mafia. She couldn't hack it so she determined that she was going to lose her virginity that night. She wanted to be with someone she chose, not someone that was chosen for her. She was at a hotel bar when when Roman and his brother Alek sat in the booth with her. They only chatted for a few moments before they quickly went to a hotel room.

The book was in all 3 of their POVs with ok editing.

The 2nd book was in Margot's POV. The story was originally a series of novellas that were all combined. I give it 4 stars.

The story has romance and suspense. Marie, the daughter of an Italian mob boss, runs into Russian mob brothers Roman and Alek while trying to rectify a problem. Marie had previously been engaged to a Russian mobster who had been killed while doing a job. After spending the night with both men, Marie thinks that is she will never have to see them again. Roman and Alek had been relocated from Atlanta to Chicago by the Russian mob boss with a specific job for Roman. Roman objects but has no choice but to follow through. Marie is not happy with the new direction that her life takes, especially since it concerns both Alek and Roman. At first she is resistant in becoming a part of their world, but eventually they wear her down. Only problem is, somebody is after Marie and Roman is trying to figure who it is and who might be the mole in the organization. The ending was not bad but it left a couple of unanswered questions. Like, why were Alek and Roman in line to take over the Russian mob? What was the significance of Marie's house never having been changed since it belonged to her mom? The ending was cute but the book itself left some things unanswered.

This is the first time reading a novel by this author and it's obvious that she is talented. The beginning was confusing and slow-paced as to how all of the characters were connected. This is the ménage story of Marie, Alek and Roman connection through an arranged marriage between two mafia family(Russian and Italian). Marie is an Italian mafia virgin princess of Don Lauro and Roman along with Alek had no history. After Don Lauro, Italian mafia boss has a meeting with the Stosh, Russian mafia boss, Marie discovered that she is about to be married off to keep peace between the families not knowing it's a set-up by Stosh. I didn't connect with the characters or the storyline because there was no motive behind the deal between the two families. It feels like the author rushes through and skips over things that should be important and requires more details but remain hanging. I have read many mafia romance and had hope this one fit that criteria but didn't. Overall, an OK read!

Book not suitable for below 18. Kind of vulgar and kinky if I must say. Italian mafia princess is having an arranged marriage with Russian mafia to neutralize their strengths and relationship. And feeling defiant, Marie went to a bar. And without knowing, she hooked up with a pair of twin brothers. And unknown to them, Marie is a virgin. And they have their night together. And when the time to make intro between the two, Marie almost fainted. Roman express his dissatisfaction openly and Marie is offended. And as for Alek, he's happy and kept reminding that Marie she will belong to them even if she marry Roman. Cos they share. Yup, they play in threes. Lol.. Very straightforward story and there's no cheating. Only vulgarities and obsene sex scenes.

When someone else plans your life, well you rebel a little. She can fight all she wants but will she fight for the right reason when she discovers the truth?
They've always been sure of their place but when trouble follows them north they aren't sure form where. One things for sure they've got plans. What those plans detail aren't quite clear and the clock is ticking. Can they stay alive and keep her safe?
Hot steamy and whew.. what a rush. really enjoyed this book immensely. Well written characters, story kept moving, intense and dangerous situations plus a steamy romance as well. Will definitely be reading this more than once.

A little bit of who-dun-it, not much menage (as advertised), narration wasn't engaging enough (stilted, even). The heroine was intent on losing her virginity, and she did with one of the heroes. But this "big deal" was not addressed later by either Roman or Marie. Really strange. Instead the depiction of Russian gang was quite detailed in this novella.
Overall, not a well developed story. I would rather it be 200+ pages in length. Now everything seemed half baked.
2.25*

P.S. Another strange thing is, there includes a 400+ pages of previously serialized story as "bonus" material.
(565 minus 465 equals 100 or less pages for this story.)

Roman was a scarred and hard man. He lived a rough life but never complained. Everything he did in his life he shared with his brother Alek. Alek was the golden boy, looks to kill and usually dressed that way too. They were called to Chicago from Atlanta for a job, neither knew what they were getting themselves into.
Marie was the Italian Princess, her father was Don Lauro. He spoke and things were done. He made a deal, an arrangement that included his daughter and the Russians. Would she go against her father for the first time in her life?

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I loved reading about Alek, Roman, and Marie. Alek and Roman twins who are part of the Russian Mob marry Marie who is the daughter of the head of the Italian Mob. Their journey is full of conspiracy, murder, discovery of love and extremely hot sex. I truly enjoyed this book and could not put it down. I highly recommend it and believe you won't regret buying it. It's definitely worth it.

Good31/2 (spoiler)

Editing would be nice a lot of typos really enjoyed the book a little too short but thought the character would have interacted more. Felt like the only way Marie learned anything about her men was from their cousin olga. There just wasnt a lot between them to all of a sudden fall for her and get her pregnant. loved roman and alek like no matter what they always seemed to read each other and back one another!

BB, Mafia genre. Fast paced, well written, interesting characters and not one, but two hunky hitmen!! Alek and Roman didn't want or thought they needed a woman. Marie was a good girl, who sacrificed for her family. Together the three of them built their relationship, overcoming those that tried to tear them apart. All three characters were interesting and well written. Thanks for the bonus book at the end. I enjoyed the Billionaire Brothers as well.

Only read the first story didn't old much interest. I thought the book was a full novel with a bonus book at the end. I was disappointed to find that was not the case. I thought the story was too rushed might have been better it the story had been longer. I enjoy reads were I feel like I can amerce myself in the book, not quite my cup of tea but for anyone who likes quick reads this would interest them.

Looking for a great story? This isn't it. Hoping for hot sex? For a book advertised as a Menage, there are two sex scenes. If you want an OK story and a smidgen of hot sex, this may be for you.
Basic story is Italian and Russian mobs fighting over territory in Chicago, so the Dons of each side decide to make peace by having Italian princess marry stoic, silent Russian hitman, who happens to come with an accountant brother. Oh yeah, she's a virgin too.

This is the 1st Mafia book I've read. It was both enjoyable and different. I really liked the way Marie handled her men. She was snarky but honest! Story seemed a little short at the end like it was rushed maybe? But it was still good. I'd love to earn a little more of this threesome!
