***Full-Length Novel***
BT Urruela is former military with scars from war that forever changed his life. He attends an acting class, is a personal trainer at an elite facility in Tampa, and is your typical warm-blooded male.

Life is pretty easy-going for BT... then Aviana Maguire catches his eye.

Aviana attends the same acting class as BT, but does her best to stay under the radar. She’s the product of a broken family and a less than desirable childhood. She’s riddled with emotional scars and has extreme trust issues with men and all relationships in general.

Life was hard for Aviana as she struggled daily to just stay afloat. Just when she thought life couldn’t get more difficult, she’s snatched away from her home as retribution for someone else’s mistakes.

Underworlds, debts, and an obsession for justice could change everything for them both.

BT may rescue the girl he tracked into the dark recesses of Las Vegas, but will she ever be the same?

Or will BT become so deeply involved in SIN, that he becomes the one needing to be rescued?

Marie James is a new to me author but I'll definitely be checking out her back list after reading this one.
SINdicate is BT Urruela fan fiction. That's what caught my interest initially, from what we see he's an amazing person who's overcome so much personally and continues to give back, who wouldn't want to read something loosely based on him?

BT Urruela is an Army vet, personal trainer and is taking acting classes. That's where he meets Aviana. He's attracted to her and thinks maybe they could have something.
They have one date and things don't go as planned leaving Aviana rushing home and not returning BT's texts.
Acting was never her dream but she does whatever she can to get ahead. Barely making ends meet she tries to keep to herself. Having a horrible upbringing and serious trust issues with the opposite sex cause her to try to hide in plain sight, as much as is possible anyway.
Think that's as bad as it gets?
You'd be wrong.
Aviana is kidnapped for her father's sins and will be put to work in a job that is the worst case imaginable for her.
Meanwhile BT realizes the object of his desire is missing and takes on the job of saving her.

I loved the fact that this story followed what my brain pictures BT Urruela to be. A gentleman who strives to do the right thing in all situations. Who would go above and beyond for those he cares about.

Being able to picture him as the main character was pretty amazing, we all have pictures in our heads of the characters as we read stories, sometimes the covers don't match the character description and you create your own picture. In this case, anyone who follows BT on any social media site would be completely comfortable with his character, never doubt his intentions and know that in the end he was bound to right the wrongs.

This was an incredibly random book in the middle of the series. Very little involving the MC and introducing characters that we've never heard of. Looking at some of the comments this is some kind of fan fiction of a real person which is fair enough but it should maybe be a spin-off rather than dumped in the middle of the series. It just made things very confusing.

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

"As stupid as it sounds, I wonder what Batman would do in a situation like this."

“I'm a smartass, been this way my entire life. Pretty said when I can't even turn it off in the face of adversity."

"It's like seventh-grade year before my boobs came in all over again. You'd think grown women would be different than teenagers, but they're not."

"If you don't like Nutella we can't be friends. Dealbreaker,"

My Review:

Silly me! I did not realize until after I had finished the book that BT Urruela is an actual living entity. Duh! I Googled him and have since decided I need to crawl out from under my rock a bit more often as holy hell - he is a fine and tasty looking full course meal, and the perfect muse for this high action and steamy story. I had previously read and adored Ms. James' entire Hale series as well as Kincaid, so I reveled in the involvement of the Cerberus MC heroes aiding in the rescue, I wasn't expecting that and it was a welcome treat. The story was taut with tension due to the conditions the characters were living in, yet the writing contained enough of Ms. James' own brand of snarky humor and steamy goodness to provide occasional respite from the angst. The tale was intriguing, sensual, entertaining, and unique, quite similar to what I have since learned about the delectable Mr. Urruela himself.

Well, now that is a knight in shining Armor. He never even had much interaction with her but decided to sacrifice his whole life just to save her.

It still was kind of boring, and i'm only reading this series because of my sister. She says that one of the guys is gay and has his own book, and i'm excited to read it.

I always love a great MC series!

I always enjoy a good MC story and this one did not disappoint.

I loved how this story ended for both Brian and Aviana.

Narrators did a fantastic job telling this story.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, anger, sadness, secrets, kidnapping, and heartbreak.

This is Aviana and BT’s story. Aviana is in the same acting class as BT. But she keeps to herself. She has learned from her past to stay under the radar. Even that does not keep her safe. When she is taken she wonders if it’s the end. BT wants Aviana even if she keeps to herself. He gets one date but when she runs can he get her to come back to him? When she is taken he tracks her to bring her home but is she the same woman as she was before the kidnapping? Or will he never get back the woman she was? Can he protect her and keep her safe while getting her to trust and love him?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

(Brian & Aviana): TRIGGERS drug abuse, kidnapping, prostitution. This book was really slow and for most of it I wasn't sure how it even related to the Cerberus MC. Brian goes on a hunt to find Aviana who's been kidnapped and held by the syndicate until her father pays what he owes. He enlists help getting Shadow of the MC to get an undercover identity. Kincaid sends Kid to help him out physically.. THIS is where it connects to the series but not by much. Other than explaining from a different POV what happened to Kid (I read "Kid" before this so light bulbs started to click). I found this story really useless to the series. The book itself, as I said, was really slow and a little boring to me. I really don't think it's necessary to continue the series.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I loved this story! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Marie has to be one of the best at writing in dual points of view. Like all her other stories this was was written extremely well and captivated me from the very beginning. She is and will always be an automatic one click author for me and I look forward to reading more from her.

This was a good read. At first I was wondering how this was related to the MC club since this was based in Florida not New Mexico but then I see he is a friend of Shadow's and request their help to save his girl.

Happy to see the girl that avoided relationships and only stuck to one night stands deciding to be with Bryan and now getting married.

One thing I will point out in this series I love the fact that there's characters that are Hispanic. I'm glad to see diversity.

I'd read a handful of Marie James books before, first the Hale series & then the audiobook for Kincaid. I only read Hale b/c it overlaps directly with Kincaid & I was most interested in the Cerberus series. Hale was mostly meh at best, but it did get better toward the end. Kincaid was better than Hale, the author seeming to improve with each book at having an engaging plot from the first page to the last. And SINdicate continued that trend. It probably lacked a lot in realism, but it was suspenseful, both in the sense of the crime/action aspects and the development of the characters' relationship, and I was engaged enough to care about the lead characters and the side characters who weren't villainous, and wanted to find out how the bad guys would be defeated.

I don't read much contemporary m/f romance these days; I mostly gave it up about a decade ago in favor of m/m romance, b/c I had gotten really, really tired of female characters having practically spontaneous multiple orgasms with gratuitous details on the state of their vaginas and panties. (Maybe if I were into women, I'd be into that, but those kinds of details never appealed.) Thankfully, while James threw in some of my pet peeves; (like overuse of the word "p*ssy" and all the accompanying juicy descriptors), she did so at a lesser frequency, and the characters remained focused on dealing with the serious & terrible criminal elements, their survival, and their own personal development.

So far as the audio narration, it was good. (I listened to as part of the box set; for some reason it's at the end of the set rather than at the book #1.5 spot, so I skipped forward & will have to skip back to get to book #2, Kid.) Anyway, dual narration can be dicey with main characters sounding way too different from chapter to chapter, but I never felt like giving up & switching to e-book at any point except to find out how it would end faster. That's saying something, because I have often had to switch to e-book when listening to dual and multi narration.

I wouldn't rate this book among my top 20 so far this year or some such, but it assured me that reading more Cerberus MC could be worthwhile.

This review applies to the books Kincaid, Sindicate, and Kid. I listened to these books on Audible for free as a bundle. Narration was good. I enjoy listening to them and will give books a listen based on them.

These are simple stories that fulfill the quick easy read/listen. But each time I’m left wondering “what guy with this background articulates so sophisticatedly?????” That description a bit much? Ya I think so too. Now I’m not saying it’s impossible for ex marines who run in a MC and share the club “ladies” every night can’t be grammatically correct or well spoke . But it’s unlikely. I don’t want my rough and tough BA lust to speak like he’s writing an essay.

I also do not like how emotionally sensitive the MMCs are. That’s my job. Of course I want them to be more thoughtful and share their thoughts, but I don’t want a woman in a male body. I also really dislike that the MFC is always “taken care” of and the MMC resists over and over and over. No. I’m not here for that. Please take care of your woman, but why do we now believe men need to be deprived???? We’ve swung to far the other way ladies and authors!

The first 3 books had these issues. I tried to power through and listen to Shadow’s book but promptly stopped when the pregnancy trope kicked it off.

What I did love about Sindicate - the MFC and her friend LOVE and are not strangers to the c0(k! Hurray for no V-cards!!!

I wanted to give this 3 stars because really the stories aren’t awful. But I just can’t after writing this review.

It was okay. We heard about the job that Kid in book 2 had to take in Las Vegas where he ended up getting hurt and lost his memory temporarily, well this was the full story.

A fellow ex military veteran to the MC found out a girl he had just been on a date with was kidnapped for ransom by a sex trafficking & drug gang.

He tried to do it with very little help until Kid got hurt and he realized this group was bigger and scarier than he originally thought. So he enlisted the help of a bunch of the MC’s and their connections with the FBI to get her out.

I don’t think I’m going to read any more of these books, the writing is weak and the storyline is just unrealistic.

No way he could have found her that easily especially having been trafficked from Florida to Las Vegas.
Then for him to get a job and infiltrate the gang within days of arriving in Las Vegas! They would of killed him or beat him close to death just like all the other people who couldn’t pay back their money Not get a job and get trusted to go where they are keeping a girl they kidnapped 🤦‍♀️

Then to have her act all sex crazed when she sees him, come on if someone was kidnapped and told they were going to be a sex slave to pay back her father’s debt no way would she be horny! This book just felt so stupid!

This is book 1.5 in the series. The first few book in the series all overlap at certain parts. Some more than others. I think they are better read in order because of this. In this book Cerberus MC helps but isn’t the main characters in the book. This book is a fan fiction book about BT Uruella. In the book he is taking acting classes with a girl named Aviana. They have a connection but Avianna has her reservations about getting involved with anyone. When she doesn’t show up for class for a few days he becomes worried and looks for her. What he finds is not good. She was taken in hopes that is would motivate her father to pay his debts. BT is going to need help in order to save the girl he has stolen his heart with just a few kisses. Will he be able to save her or will he find himself in danger as well? This was a wonderful interesting read. I was pulled in quickly and couldn’t put it down. Marie writes a wonderful story that makes you wish you could be part of the world she has created. Wonderful job Marie. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Audio version- read by: Kasha Kensington and Aaron Shedlock. Aviana and Brian’s story. Boy oh boy! This series just keeps getting better and better. Brian, a care free, ex military, book model all around good guy has it bad for his fellow acting classmate Aviana. A once and done kinda girl, Aviana does not do relationships but for some reason finds herself agreeing to a night of homemade spaghetti and tv with Brian. After the date Aviana completely disappears. Days later Brian gets her address and discovers she is missing. Finding out that she has been taken and being held by the SINdicate for debts owed by her father has him reaching out to a his friend in the MC for help. Determined to get her back he won’t stop till she is safe and if he’s lucky get that 2nd date.
I loved this story and can not wait to get to Kids story. Marie James is definitely an amazing author. The audio version is simply HOT!

This was a cute story with a serious subject matter filled with suspense romance and underworld criminals.

Aviana and Brian have amazing chemistry their sexy scenes are sensual and hot. Brian is horny and is also a gentleman never wanting to take advantage of Aviana in her current situation but desiring her nevertheless. He wants forever now he only needs to convince her.

With a plan, Brian reaches out to Cerberus to help rescue his woman who was snatched in the middle of the night. Brian's plan is a good one but, he is in over his head as the man has found himself dealing with the scum of the earth.

This novella was packed with a ton of suspense, great characters, and slimy criminals, and was a story that kept you on edge the entire time. Cerebus does what they do best. Darby needs a shout-out as she was a big part of the story and she keeps it real and is not afraid to express her wants and needs and owns her own sexuality. Enjoyable read all around.

This book 🙄
Why was it even included? It was so freakin unrealistic to the point I DNFd a number of times…

Aviana, apparently short and beautiful was taking acting classes and met Brian, a former military… she gets abducted after their one date… Brian drops everything to go rescue her 🙄 make it make sense…

Aviana is so fake that it doesn’t even make sense and Brian dumb misguided chivalrous man who wasted his “goodness” like a typical dumb man, led by what’s in his pants on a “beautiful” woman he knows nothing about…literally risking his life… almost laughable…

The story did not make a lick of sense, fan fiction or not..,

I received and voluntary reviewed a copy of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.

This is the first time I've read a book that the cover model is also the main character, I love it. A wonderfully written story that kept me on edge. Characters were perfection.

I had absolutely no clue who BT Urruela was before reading this. I was skeptical because it was marked as fanfiction, and I don't even know who this guy is. My first thought, was that he was a fictional character from a TV series or book. NOPE, he is a completely awesome, real life, man.
I am impressed. And now a fan.

This was an amazing short story! It helps clear up questions after reading the Cerberus MC series also written by Marie James. BT is insanely hot and heroic in this book. I definitely recommend reading the at least the first two books or the Cerberus series before reading this one as it may have a few spoilers. You won't be disappointed!

4.5 stars ⭐️ Ok read the first part of this series and it’s amazing better than I thought it would be. The characters felt real and not over the top. The storyline is brilliant and I will definitely read more! Loved the characters and each one has a unique hold on me regardless of my emotions. Must read series and definitely not one to miss

This was a good story but wasn't really a bike book. Brian seemed like a great guy and Avianna was a girl with a rough past and upbringing. Her father was a bastard for leaving her behind so it was easy to see how Brian would step in to help. I'd like to know how the syndicate was handled but maybe that'll be in another story.

From the very first line, this story grabs your attention and refuses to let go. It's a whirlwind of suspense, mystery, and drama, peppered with intense action, passionate encounters, and ultimately, a heartwarming journey of love. The unpredictability of the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, eagerly anticipating each twist and turn.

Meh. Having just flew through the first three Cerberus MC books, I wonder if this particular book was actually boring overall or just less exciting than the others or if I'm tiring of the series.

In any case, feel free to skip this novel and move on in the series (if you're still interested in learning MC stories.) Personally I'm skipping ahead to Snatch's story. I'm assuming it'll be intense since he seems to be a rough character.
