You know it's good writing when you're just some dude, and a writer can put you in touch with the trials and rewards of motherhood, something you'll ( likely, depending on how science progresses ) never experience. These essays tap into what's universal, but are also revelatory and eye opening, causing the reader to stop in his tracks and consider unique perspectives. Love the sacredness Rene' clearly feels toward the shared bond of motherhood, especially as it evolves over time and takes on new shape and form with every station in life. Such passionate writing, sometimes full of pain or longing, but ultimately bursting with affinity for every character, every situation, every fleeting, nostalgic moment lost to time. Rich, authentic, literary voice that cuts to the core with sheer poetry.
