Sexy, quick read
Elizabeth is a cold hearted b and has the hots for her married coworker. Nathaniel is in a doomed marriage, loves his kids, and has fantasized about Elizabeth for years. He ends his marriage and that frees up both of them to go for what they want; each other.

Power is the third story I’ve read by Ali Parker and I have to say I really enjoyed this story. Power is definitely steamy but also emotionally heart wrenching at times, making it so much more than just an erotic read.
Telling the story of Nathaniel and his boss, Elizabeth, the duo have known each other for a while and have an undeniable chemistry that teeters on the edge of spilling over. However, as the story progresses, we get to see Nate strip away her hard, confident exterior so he finally gets to see the real vulnerable woman underneath after both have experienced being wronged. We also see Nate having to adapt himself after events play out. I loved how despite their mutual feelings, morals were adhered as best as possible before things advanced between Nate and Elizabeth. The power aspect sees intriguing exchanges and it is fantastically played out and balanced out realistically. However, I think my favourite scene from the whole book the heart breaking scene towards the end of the book where you really get to see the real Elizabeth and the true relationship between Elizabeth and Nathaniel. It was also interesting to read small bits of how his kids reacted to the changes in their lives as to me they made the story more realistic.
Power is told from both Elizabeth and Nate’s points of views and moves at a fast pace. However, despite the fast pace, the foundation we know has been created over the last five years adds support so that it never feels like it’s moving too quick. As I’ve already said, Power has a solid plot that make it so much more than just an steamy read.
Only thing that bugged me was in chapter 3 Nate’s daughter is referred to as being seven years old but then in chapter 18 she is suddenly ten years. Not a big thing but the small details to me are just as important as the main ones and are what would have made this book closer to a 4.5 stars rating.
If you love a good standalone office romance with a HEA, definitely give this book a read! You won’t regret it.

Wow! This is sizzling hot with a most wonderful story. I love it. I love how Nate says he would have never cheated on his wife, because even if she was a horrible wife, she was his. He is not only sexy, hot, and gifted in the package department, but he has integrity, and don't forget that he is also a great daddy. Elizabeth is a powerful lady at work, and is even called a bitch by others, as well as herself, but underneath that is lots of hurt and emotions. When they finally get together, it sizzles. Once I started this book, I did not want to put it down. It earns a 5+ from me. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and honestly it is a book I highly recommend, if you like a well written story of love that has great characters and is extremely hot and steamy.

What a combo - Elizabeth and Nate!!
I was worried honestly that it would become one of those where the main character is a cheating bastard (sorry Language!). But this surprised me and made me happy in the end.
Elizabeth is a strong willed and minded person who has kept herself guarded for so long out of self preservation. Nate has been in a loveless marriage for so long that he has deluded himself into thinking that it was his only option in life. Their attraction to each other is palpable and real. But neither one wants to give in until a fateful day when one of their worlds is turned on it's end.
I love how it touches on the line but doesn't cross it. Amazing story.
Again, we all know how much I love Ali and her writing. Thanks Ali for this ARC - this review is all for you and totally my pleasure to write!

Another great read by Parker....
Absolultely devoured this book.
Elizabeth is all about power, she hates not being in control, and Nate is testing her resolve...and wetting her panties...she must stay away......lift scene..pwahaha AMAZING
Nate is an unhappily married man who has been lusting after his boss Elizabeth for years but has been totally true to his marriage vows....and kept his distance...
But circumstances change....and things get a heated....ALOT!!
I loved the sexual banter between the pair..and Elizabeths no nonsense talk...
and the sex scenes!!!! My god ***hot flushes***
I need to get myself a man like Nate and have my own chair scene...**wink wink**

Nate is sexy man and devoting to his family until he catches his wife cheating on him and his whole life comes crashing down. Nate has a long standing attraction to his boss, Elizabeth and he hates her for that.
Elizabeth is a smart, strong willed women who has kept her heart guarded out of self preservation. She is also Nate's boss, and very much attracted to him too, but he's married and off limits, or is he? Will they be find a new life together? I recommend reading this book, it's great.

Wow Ali Parker did it again!!! This is a powerful book and so well written that you just don't want to put it down!!!
Elizabeth and Nate are both strong powerful and hard working business people, but Elizabeth is Nate's Boss and and she can be mean but she has a good reason for being the way that she is!!! Nate is one Sexy man and devoting to his family until something happens and his whole life comes crashing down. Then it's the two power houses against each other and it's so Hot and steamy. Eeeeeeeek I loved how this book played out. Yet another phenomenal book by Ali Parker!!!!!

Nate and Elizabeth, two career minded characters with emotional baggage and broken hearts.
It was a fast paced steamy read. I didn't like either of the characters in the beginning. It was nice to read their back stories giving them depth and finally see where they were coming from. I was happy to see they had a HEA.

Once again Ali Parker has given me reason to cheer!
This is a wicked story, it was well written and read very fast.
I love the characters, I fell big time for Nathaniel, he is so gorgeous, Elizabeth is a strong, damaged, woman who is a bitch or is she....

Ali Parker is an amazing author who writes scratching hot fast paced romance that will keep you turning those pages.
Nate & Elizabeth are both high flying corporate powerhouses but what happens when these 2 dominating characters get together? You'll have to read it to find out.
Highly recommend this book.

Great story with plenty of steamy sex scenes. I loved this book.
I chose this rating because this book was a great read for me.
I liked the plot and the fact that it wasn't written as a Porn novel. The characters in this book took me on their journey to love. It was written beautifully.

This was a great book. Lizzie and Nate had an amazing Power struggle that made their romance even steamier. Ali Parker is a fantastic writer. I have read 10 of her books, and she is quickly become one of my favorite authors. I cannot wait to read more.

Yes, this is an erotic novel, but no, it is not all sex and sweat. It is the story of a man who has had lustful thoughts for his boss Elizabeth, but he would never cheat on his wife for the world. Nate married his high school sweetheart and he has never been with any other woman. Lizzy has the ball busting bitch facade that she uses to protect herself and keep everyone at a distance she controls. She has had lusty thoughts about Nate, but she would never be the other woman.
Nate has a teenage son Patrick and a seven year old daughter Samantha. Patrick came to his father and said his mother was cheating on him. Nate knew that she would not cook, clean, or help the kids, but he thought she was going through a phase. He decided to call home at lunch and his wife answered the phone out of breath and claimed she was vacuuming and the vacuum he just bought was too heavy. Nate rushed home and heard the vacuum when he opened the door, and he felt foolish until he could hear his wife moaning and screaming in ecstasy. Nate lost it and beat the hell out of the guy and knocked him down the stairs. He told his wife to get her shit and leave and his parents were taking the kids while he went on a business trip. He filed for divorce when he got back.
