About Renee:
USA Today Bestselling author Renee George writes paranormal mysteries and romances because she loves all things whodunit, Otherworldly, and weird. Also, she wishes her pittie, the adorable Kona Princess Warrior, and her beagle, Josie the Incontinent Princess, could talk. Or at least be more like Scooby-Doo and help her unmask villains at the haunted house up the street.

When she’s not writing about mystery-solving werecougars or the adventures of a hapless psychic living among shapeshifters, she is preyed upon by stray kittens who end up living in her house because she can't say no to those sweet, furry faces. (Someone stop telling them where she lives!)

She resides in Mid-Missouri with her family and spends her non-writing time doing really cool stuff...like watching TV and cleaning up dog poop.

I am a total sucker for MM books! Especially written by G.R. George.
This time we revisit Chris and Marty. We first saw them at The Dirty Martini , book 4 of The Other Team series.
This time, they are forced to be apart and that is taking a toll in their relationship. Yet, they are willing to try. And we go along for the ride!
We fall in love, as they redescover each other. We get heartbroken, when doubts start arising. But we find acceptance, because we are all perfect.
They both have their own issues to face, thought they sometimes refuse to actually address the problem.
I liked the story, because the writing made me feel all the emotions described. The most important part of it, in my opinion of course, was that It shows the struggle of keeping a relationship. That you get to be passionate about your partner, you get to do mistakes, you put your own issues in your relationship. Yet, you do not give up. You struggle for happiness, all the time. Because we all know we deserve it.
It is a short story and I strongly recommend it, if you like MM!

P.S. I received a coplimentary copy, in exchange of an honest review

This book was HOT!!! Completely awesome read that I couldn't put down! Get ready for the heat...
Marty is in the Army and is struggling with his leg injury and the loss of his best friend. When he meets Chris who has just lost his father, the pain they are feeling pulls them together. The two are struggling with trust issues but seem to be willing to give this relationship a try. But as things start to heat up, Chris gets scared and breaks things off with Marty. The two are miserable without each other but neither one is willing to tell the other. When Marty comes home for a Halloween party at his brothers bar, he makes an attempts to talk to Chris. Unfortunately they both can't seem to say what they are really feeling and things are still awkward between them. Are they both willing to let things end and suffer with the loss? Or will one of them finally step up and be honest about their feelings?

4.5 stars rounded up
I received a free ARC in change for an honest review.

Out of the 4 couples in the Cocktails series, I think that Chris and Marty are my favourite pairs, and this book hasn't diminished my enjoyment.
Both men are understandably very cautious about a long term and long distance relationship. Both having been hurt in their past, trust can be hard, up trust they must whilst Marty works the last 6 months of his army contract.
But of course, the road to true love is never smooth and this couple are no different, but the ending to this story left me with tears in my eyes. A very HFN and I hope Ms George gives Chris and Marty their HEA soon.

When we last saw Marty and Chris they had shared an intense connection; however, now that Marty is back on base to finish out his Ranger commitment is that connection strong enough to endure the distance? Doubts and fears plague both men leading to mistakes and awkwardness causing more than physical separation. Great little love story proving there is always hope. Chris and Marty, like all the Cocktails characters, are a joy to read about even when they are being boneheaded! Killer though was the best character of all, so funny!

An ARC was given to me for an honest review. This is a story about fear and hope. He's his first guy. He is the first person he has connected with since he was hurt. Is he just using him? Maybe they can get over their fears and come together. This is an entertaining read. Enjoy I did.

What a fun book. I loved this story of Marty, a soldier that can't forgive himself , and Chris, a player that thinks he don't deserve to be loved. Together they find love and show each other what they have been missing. This is a must read

I received an ARC from this author for my honest review – like I could give any other kind.
Once again, G.R. George does not disappoint in the next installment of The Other Team series. This time we return to bartender Chris Lawson and Army Ranger Marty Lincoln after Marty had spent a week with Chris and his first time being with another man.
Now apart again and living their everyday lives, both succumb to the inevitable doubts of “Was this just a one-sided thing?”; “Was it a mistake?, and the list of questions and doubts go on and on. Trying to maintain some form of a relationship they make phone dates to keep the spark alive. Even to the point of a rather hot night of phone sex.
Can two emotionally damaged men, make this relationship work? Will the distance and doubts be too much for them?
G.R. George makes sure that you are fully invested in their situation, and relationship. Another roller coaster ride of moments when I was afraid to turn the page to see what path they chose. Would they stay together and fight for the happiness they each doubt they deserve? Or would they let it all slip away while they both lived their lives unhappy, lonely and unfulfilled?
Order The Screwdriver – Dirty Martini 2 to find out what happens next for Chris and Marty. While you’re at it, make sure that you catch up with Books 1 – 7. You won’t be disappointed. The Other Team is my favorite series by G.R. George.

Trust is something earn not just given freely. Why well because there are those who would abuse the treasure they get whe. Someone puts thier trust in faith in them. Not everyone but a lot of people do, so it's safer to protect yourself by not trusting.. We read about Chris and Marty before in Dirty Martini but here you see into the actual relationship they are trying to build. Chris has trust issues and who can blame him, so many have hurt him beyond forgiveness. His father and his mother for example. But how does he handle the fact that he has to learn to trust Marty if he wants something beyond the casual hook up.. And does he want more? Is he finally willing to give his heart that NO ONE has ever had.. Or will he break it off.
Marty is working on getting completely out of the Rangers but seriously misses Chris. They are a long distance away but they talk a lot on the phone. That is the only thing keeping him grounded. He is also facing hard issues with the widow of his best friend Mike and is feeling over whelmed. One night things go down hill for him and Chris and Chris breaks it off. What? Instead of speaking his mind stays quiet and suffers in silence. But what he does not know is so is Chris, see Chris just discovered he loves him and is scared he will leave him first.. Things get bumping but in the end truth always privals.. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review...it's awesome...
