Praise for the Mellin Cove Series:

“DANGER AT MELLIN COVEgave me the same thrills I got when I first read Jamaica Inn. Terrific! It had me completely gripped and entranced. I thoroughly enjoyed it.” - E-Scape Press Author Judy Jarvie.

“A smashing read enjoyed every page, full of suspense, a good story well written, would recommend this book to my friends.” Amazon reader review

“A good story to settle down with after a long day of stress. It takes the reader to another time and place and reveals a slice of life from the point of view of Hedra who is a naïve, but spunky young woman. She has a strong sense of right and wrong. Even though she comes from wealth and position, she relates to the needs and circumstances of the hardworking people of Mellin Cove.” - Long and Short Reviews

To be honest I can't make my mind up about the Loveday Mystery series.

They a good stories, but just not that well-written. No offence intended, but there is a limit to how many times I want to read that so-and so "ran the tip of their tongue round his/her lips to moisten them" that so-and-so "pursed their lips" or that Loveday slid off her black leather jacket etc. Some of the text is irritatingly repetitive.

There are an awful lot of typos too - spelling and punctuation - which really ought to be picked up by proofreading. It's almost as if they've published a first draft sometimes.

Ms George certainly has some good plot lines and I will persevere with the series but I can't say I'd want to re-read them at a later date. Sorry!
