From author Victoria Clapton comes THE PRIESTESS AND THE WARRIOR trilogy which regales the story of Pinky and her journey through the ages as she rights kingdom wrongs and seeks to finally join with her love, Tyr, a Viking warrior, who, while fighting his own wars, remains in contact with Pinky through centuries. Their unique and lively friendships and protectors also cross the chasms of time with Pinky and Tyr, and as stories unfold around Renaissance campfires, we learn how far Pinky will go to protect all the people she loves. Book 2 in this Trilogy, ACCEPT, follows Book 1, AWAKEN, and it opens with the last days of Pinky’s first semester in college. She is no closer to finding Tyr, her still missing love. However, her memories have grown stronger as has her understanding and appreciation of her friendships, and together, the entire gang all have traveled to a Celtic Christmas village to plunge deeper into the past and unravel more of the mystery that surrounds their existence. Filled with confidence and the joy of the season, the group believes that Pinky will soon uncover all that was lost, and Tyr will at long last return to them. Alas, the Wheel of Fate has spun once more, as Pinky’s current memory of a life once lived in Ireland refutes all that she thought she knew, and leaves her with more questions. Yet, she and her friends endeavor on, ever in search of their past to find their future.

Accept continues where Awaken had left us. A few months after meeting her new friends and families from other lives and times, Pinky has returned to her current life, although now she doesn't feel alone anymore. Jet, her faithful friend, is forever by her side. In this new installment, Pinky meets with her friends again for a Christmas Faire and we learn more about her previous lives, and most precisely the one she lived in Ireland as Aislinn.

One of the things I liked the most about this series is how memorable the main characters are. I had to stop reading due to illness but I fell right back in the story once I resume reading a month later. Pinky, the main character is engaging and while I just can't imagine being plagued like her with memories of past lives without having any kind of control over them, she comes through it with the help of the other characters. You can feel the respect and love they have for her through their actions.

Without giving any spoilers, I will say that this sequel gets us closer to the truth. While there is so much more to learn, we discover quite a bit about Tyr's true nature. We also get a glimpse of what might be the reason behind the reincarnation along with a new and mysterious character. That said, I can't wait to read the final book.

The amazing tale that started with Awaken continues in this equally beautiful and engaging sequel! We find out more about Aimi and Tyr by following a different lifetime as Pinky retells it to a crowd of followers at a faire. New characters and beloved old characters make every chapter a delight to read. I could not put this book down till I finished, and am left wanting more! Can't wait for the next one!

Audible:This follow up to Awaken was very good! Iame is back at the Renaisance faire and trying to find her soul mate again. Her memories may be more than she can handle this time. Matthew R. Lents was a fine narrator. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is the second book, and it is just as good as the first one. With the story being told the way it is makes you feel like you are in the middle of all of it. You are trying to figure this out right alongside Pinky. I can't wait to finish the story and find out the ending. So good can't put it down.

I am so intrigued by this love story! Aislinn and Tiernan have been separated across the centuries, they find each other in different lifetimes. Now Pinky (Aislinn/Aimi) in the present day is waking up and remembering her former lives, but she can’t find Tiernan. I loved the scenes at the Christmas market and loved the flashbacks with Fionn and Fiona. Cheering for a happy ending for these two! 5/5 stars.
