Rider has secretly been in love with his partner, Nicco, for years. When he finds out Nicco feels the same way, Rider is euphoric. But Nicco is having trouble accepting he’s in love with a man. Rider wants to take their relationship to the next level, but his partner vacillates between hot desire and cool indecision.
A visit to Nicco’s family for the holidays only makes things worse; Nicco’s father is homophobic, his mother wants grandchildren, and an unexpected guest makes Nicco jealous.
Back home, the two men must make a decision between pursuing their romantic relationship and saving their partnership.
HOT HOT HOT I'm so happy these two sexy cops, best friends, partners, finally figured it out. The love, trust, loyality they have for one another is truly spectacular I loved loved loved this story
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
This was another short book, but a bit longer than Partners thankfully. Frankly I feel that the two books could've been combined into one story since this was the relatively immediate pick up from book 1, but I was glad to see this story progress and be more complete continuation of the first book. We got to see Nicco freak out at the idea of work or family finding out about them. We got to see Rider struggle with hiding how he feels. We got to see them love each other, and we got to see them fight for what they mean to each other. I feel that they are on their way to a full HEA, but I would've liked to see them come out to Nicco's family since they are all so close. I enjoyed this sequel more than the first book, but mostly because this gave more story (which I LOVE).
Lovers by Rebecca James 5 Stars Main Characters: Nicco and Rider Trope: Friends to Lovers, Out For You (bisexuality acknowledged and accepted) Plot: The story of Nicco and Rider continues as they face coming out and staying together. Pros: well written, fast pace, fully developed relationship that makes sense as do the reactions of the characters Cons: None NOTE:: This is part of a series and does not stand alone.
This was an enjoyable sequel to Partners. Rider and Nicco try to navigate their new relationship that Nicco wants to keep in the closet. More times than I can count it appears that Nicco is ashamed of the relationship and sends Rider mixed messages. It's still a hot, sexy read and I loved reading about two macho law enforcement officers finding love with each other.
after what happens in book 1 Nicco is having problems he freaks out and he cant control it. And now both guys are off to see nicco family. How will nicco deal with everthing. But at the edn of the day both guys will talk it out and firgure how to deal with this new relationship.
This is the last book in the series, a very good story. I love the main characters Rider, and Nicco were so good together. The story was well written, and also the story line.
