Lasgol shows up looking on the hunt for the Assassin that killed King Thoren's brother. To try and prevent a war. Now it's not a matter of catching him but how long it will take the Ranger to catch him and return him back to his lands in the hopes of preventing a war with Rogdan. I enjoyed the book but especially the fact that Lasgol from the Path of the Ranger was in this one for a short time. What I didn't like was how Lasgol didn't have Camu orOna with him nor did he have any memories of his friends including Astrid and Egal who he has been with almost from the beginning. This series was suppose to take place a just few years after Path of the Ranger yet not to have any knowledge of his past like he's got amnesia or something I didn't like at all.
Simplemente fascinante.
Komir, Hartz and Kayti are in Ocorum and are nearly killed in an organized ambush. Determined to find out who’s behind it they track them down and turn tables.
Aliana has been captured by the Usiks and being taken to their village (making a new friend). Kendas is following hoping to rescue her. Prince Gerart has brought the unconscious Mage to the healing sisters of the Temple of Tirsar.
In the far north, Norghana has entered the story as a base for a foreign spy and an assassin. And another new player: Iruki from the Masig Steppes. After a very important royal is assassinated, Lasgol joins the story giving us the connection with the ‘Path of the Ranger’ series. Some curious things he thinks brings up lots of questions about what’s happened to him that hopefully we find the answers in later books.
I love the cavern chambers obstacle tests for each of the elements medallions. The previous book was earth (Aliana) and eather (Komir). Now we have water (Iruki). Fire’s next.
Footnote: 1) It bugs me that people who keep secrets from others around them get mad when they find out others are keeps secrets from them.
2) The picture of Lasgol in the eBook makes him look too pretty to be an experienced Ranger. His long flowing hair would get caught and in his way when fighting, running, etc. He’d look more like Komir or Prince Gerart.
Fave scenes: Iruki’s escape, Lasgol catching the assassin, fighting the water spirit and Mirkos killing the first sorcerer.
Book two we follow a few people in this one. Lasgol is in This one but he is not the man we know, but that makes sense kind of in book 20 of the path of a ranger series ( Should read before this series set in same world) a evil being (don't want to give spoilers if you haven't read) take is memory of love and friends he had, but then takes his magic too, ends up in a coma for months but comes to not remembering his friends. Not sure why he has magic in this one, must be slowing building again (like when your young and it grows) the people who knew him said it's best if he slowly remembers naturally. But clearly they sent him off alone.your experience is what makes you you, so makes sense he is different in this he remembers his father so maybe not all love is gone?
I want to know about the Panthers? Two nearly died, two got sent to dungeons, two ending up in other worlds and poor lasgol forgot everybody after a memory wipe. (I have read the Dragon series but it's still on going and don't give much details, hopefully next book might be came to the rescue) sorry about the spoilers but worth reading x
That's a male fantasy. There is no such thing. Never was. Not in history. Are men willing to be whores No. It's because of economic hardship. Black mail. First. Desperation. Not Ever by Choice. Not then, not now. That they make the best of their poor circumstance is just facing reality. Who would find anything ok about serving men. Fuck you. And you are a bigot you have the stereotypical evil Asian. And sexy evil female bad woman. She isn't the strategist only the evil one yet she was the one who concurred the countries. Yet the man is the smart one. Fuck you
Poor Character Crossovers are a Masquerade For Time Travel
I can only assume Lasgo, Camu, and the Panthers ignored Eickwahld’s warning and manipulated the past somehow. If this is the case amazing writing. The Ilenian series was written long before Path of the Ranger. Lasgo grows up with his father, different training towards the Ranger, and only has a feeling of camaraderie and stronger magic. The dreadful feeling he gets whenever he’s about to break through a mental barrier is another sign. Again amazing
I love all the characters. The evil ones are really evil, the good ones have strengths and powers that stand up to those evils without as much training. The plot is simple good vs evil but the writer makes you want to delve into the story and enjoy the characters. I know that I will read of his books.
LASGOL returns!!!! having read all 20 books of Path of Ranger first it brought joy to read him again. Overall book felt like a big filer as what is to come. Them killing Orten after everything that happened in Path of the Ranger is very comical. Again, what the characters did is not important as this was a filer and one step closer for the big reveal. Onto book 3.

Combine all of Urvi's many talents, experiences and gifted writing skills and we have an evolving talent such as J. R. Tolkien. I have so thoroughly enjoyed each book. These visually stunning works are so developed and intriguing.
The author did a good job with this book. He is building a story full of anticipation and intrigue. I really want to know what happens to Komir, what he becomes. And who is Kayti going to be? Good gal or bad gal? I'll continue reading to find out
I got confused during different points as to how some of the characters attained how they got where they were. it's a very good book and others should pick it up.
Really good reading, very enjoyable if you can get by the jumping from one place to the other. It really got to me in this book. It does drag on it places, meking you sleepy (it did put me asleep several times). The characters are not developed and do seem a little like children. I see alot of 5 star ratings but I do believe this book leaves alot to be desired. I sorry I juist am having a hard time writing about this book, it was just lacking all around. I am going to read the next to see if it gets any better, if it doesn't then it will be my last one in this series. Read at your own risk.
