Release from Stasis: The Future is Now
Consider humankind existing in the distant future. Perhaps they are the extraterrestrials speculated to exist following anomalous sightings on planet Earth of today. Maybe it is ourselves in a different anatomical guise who are the ‘visitors’...
In the distant future, planet Earth is a much-altered place in which the sun has aged and is bombarding the Earth with deadly solar particles. John Powell is the last surviving human and is battling to save mankind from extinction by abducting humans from the past and genetically engineering them to survive in the harsh environment. John’s aim is to repopulate the Earth as part of a Great Plan for survival.

After all, there was no-one left to be accountable to.”
However, an unprecedented violent solar eruption kills his experimental subjects and he has to abandon the Earth with his family and a few other survivors and undertake a long space voyage while safely placed in stasis.When released from stasis and still onboard the spacecraft, John and his family are shocked to discover that the other occupants have formed two conflicting astral religions, the Muons and the Pions. Escaping from the turmoil, John and his family utilise a portal acting as a time-travel device to return to the old Earth and start over. The spacecraft continues on its journey and lands on a habitable planet, leaving the Muons and Pions to sort out their own destiny...
Release from Stasis: The Future is Now is the sequel to Disclosure: The Future is Now; another science fiction story of time travel, human survival and human dilemma. It will appeal to science fiction enthusiasts and those interested in the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

6 books4 followersDr Graham Clingbine has BSc and MSc degrees from the University of London in the areas of Biological Science and Neurobiology. His award of PhD followed a research programme on the memory mechanisms of the brain. Dr Clingbine spent a long career in education at schools and colleges before retiring from City & Islington College in North London from his post as Senior Lecturer and Course Manager of the Medical Access course.
Dr Clingbine has co-authored a number of paperback books related to model answers to biology examination questions. He has a keen interest and extensive research knowledge in the subject area of unidentified flying objects (UFO’s) and related phenomena including alien abductions and possible secret governmental conspiracy theories which cover up cases of alien contact.
Dr Clingbine has a number of interests and hobbies but uppermost among these is fishing. He not only enjoys fishing the rivers, lakes and seas of his home country (the UK) but has ventured further afield to countries across Europe and the USA.

Even though you expect fiction, you are first faced with more than several pages on how governments should disclose the truth about UFO sightings, or how probable it is that aliens to actually exist.
The book is said to work as a standalone, but the story of the first book (that I didn't even know about...) is referenced. The tone is dry, everything is only tell, never show, and there's a lot of "science" talk which... does not seem to be relevant at all to advancing the story, and is quite gross, at that. I do not really want to be reading about how "abducted humans sexually thrust against the vats they're kept in", or how parts of their brain are removed, or the exact process of creating, breeding and extracting babies to be raised.
I suggest looking for some better sci-fi here on my blog.

We know what we know until we know differently.
Dr. Graham Clingbine, with Release From Stasis: The Future Is Now, writes a perfect sequel to his science fiction novel, Disclosure. This follow-up story moves the reader from the life of Kevin in Disclosure to his father, John Powell, and the destruction and depopulation of planet Earth due to solar radiation. In the wake of mankind’s final demise, his father puts into play a genetic scheme to save the human species and reestablish it on an Earth-like exoplanet, resulting in consequences unimagined. Dr. Clingbine, in his creation of Release From Stasis, makes full use of futuristic technology, biogenetic creation, biogeography, special time relativity, and telepathic mind control. It is an epic story that takes the futurity of the human on a galactic journey forward yet backward in time to its earliest stages of psychological development, back to a primitive era of tribal formation based on relativism or the expansion of information gathering, thought processing, and idea formation founded on only observable phenomena in combination with the human instinct for survival.
Release From Stasis takes dystopia to a whole new height, leaving the reader in a state of profound contemplation about the future of our planet, human life, and the consequences of human experimentation, with the first question being: does the end result justify the means? And the second question: just because we can do a thing, should we? Dr. Clingbine’s novel, Release From Stasis, is rich with psychological character development and is also well-researched, combining science fact with a flair of fiction to produce a futuristic tale of believable possibilities. A highly recommended read.
