I shamed my name. I am a whore. I am a disgrace. I’m all the things my mother made me. I wear my badge with pride because I know the truth, and only those worth a damn see me for who I am, not the label I choose to hide behind.
I am a Domme. I would still rather be a whore than a hypocrite like my mother, or a victim like the daughter she raised me to be.
As Mistress Selina, I can bring a grown man to his knees without so much as a crack of my handmade whip. I love the power and control—what’s not to love? I must be mad to even consider Dominant club owner and King of Kink Jason Sinclair’s proposition.
Two Doms don’t make a right.
Self-preservation has kept me at a safe distance from the one man who could change all that. The only man who wields power like a sensual sword and keeps me balanced on that knife’s edge. My choice is simple: He wants me to switch for him. But if I do, will I bleed or will I fall?

Sam grew up with an abusive mother who wants to use her daughter to advance her own financial and social standing. Her mother sees Sam as nothing more than a means to an end. After forcing her daughter to date a horrifically abusive man, she blames Sam when that relationship ends. As soon as she turns 18, Sam leaves home. Luckily, she meets Leon who saves her and protects her and becomes her best friend. Sam becomes the best dominatrix in town because she never wants to give control of herself over to anyone else ever again. Jason is the owner of the club and is also a dom. He wants Sam and he wants her to give control over to him. This story has steamy sex, suspense, and a love story. Leon is a wonderful and funny friend to Sam and Jason has an equally hot twin brother named Will. There is a bad guy in this story as well and he is a cruel and sadistic man. This is my first book by Dee Palmer and I loved it!

You know, when I read Dee Palmer's first book (Never A Choice) I loved it. I knew it was a part of a trilogy and eagerly hoped to get the chance to review the second book (Always A Choice). I did and it was even better!

As the trilogy came to an end with the third book (The Only Choice) I was not only invested in the characters but the sub-characters too. So I was overjoyed to hear about a new book, tied to the trilogy but that could be read as a standalone. Ethan's Fall was brilliant!

And so we come to Disgrace.
Also connected to The Choices Trilogy, this can be read as a standalone too. This book was fantastic! It's a really great love story with enough kink in it to get your pulse racing! I guarantee you'll love it!

Jason is a phenomenal character. Someone who knows what he wants and does what he needs to do, to get it. Selena is tough as nails. She's got a reputation and doesn't take bull from anyone. How can two Doms work?

This story has so much to offer. It's beautifully written and well edited. There are amusing moments, lots of anxious moments (I felt sick to my stomach at least once), plenty of shout at your kindle moments, love, lust and so much more! It's dark in some places, saccharin in others. It's got something for everyone.
It is, in my opinion, Dee Palmer's best work yet. It's perfect!

I wasn't sure what to expect with Disgrace, as the blurb was interesting and I haven't read this author before. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It started a little slow for me, so I was a bit worried at first, but once it picked up, I was hooked.

Sam has a bad past. Though that past lead her to be a dominatrix, which she enjoys. When Jason, a Dom himself, decides he wants Sam and for her to be a switch, she is scared to become vulnerable. Will Sam be able to be submissive so she can have something great with Jason?

I loved this book. Jason was very dominant, but he was also super supportive of Sam, and so understanding of her past. Sam was very tough because of her past. Reading about what she went through was heartbreaking. I enjoyed reading about Sam and Jason, how they grew as people, and as a couple.

Before this, I hadn't read a BDSM book in quite a while and Disgrace was a good way to jump back into this genre. It was well written and it kept me flipping the pages, especially towards the end! I look forward to reading more books by Dee Palmer. ~ Leah, 4.5 stars

Five Amazing Stars! Sam has a dark past, one that involves abuse. At the age of 18 she tries to leave all of that behind her and becomes a strong woman Dominatrix. Sam becomes one of the most sought after Dominatrix in the BDSM club. Jason is a Dom and owner of the BDSM club, he has set his eyes on Sam and wants her to summit to him. Sam at first is not so sure about giving up control, but soon starts falling for Jason. Will this relationship work and will Sam finally have her happily ever after? What will happen when the past comes a calling with the present? Ms. Palmer does a fantastic job writing this story which is dark, full of suspense, and hot, steamy romance. Beware part of the story may have triggers and part of the story has the world of BDSM. I loved the characters and found them to have great chemistry. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely be looking for more! I highly recommend it!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

Disgrace
Dee Palmer
3. 5 stars

Sam has had a crap life. She was born into a life that her mother started and tormented her in. The experiences and what she suffered through has made her who she is. All Sam knows is being used and that abuse is a normal part of her life. Meeting Leon, she finds her way into being something more.

Jason wants Sam but two Doms don’t work so in order to have her she must become his sub. Blowing back into Sam’s past she doesn’t know if she can give Jason what he wants. The past and the present collide to create drama and more drama.

I just couldn’t connect with the characters. Again we have a cruel man in this book taking continuous shots at a woman. I do like that Sam became a strong woman but the constant smexy stuff is just not enough for me in a story. The read needs to be more in depth as well as the characters.

If you like this style of read then click it up! We all don’t love the same things. I appreciate the ARC and the chance to read. I just enjoy the more dramatic events of men who appreciate their women and suspense in a different way.

Dee Palmer has a great way with words and this book proves it. This is book one in a trilogy.

Sams abusive mother has been using her for her own financial gain. As soon as Sam reaches eighteen she leaves and throws herself into being a Dominatrix as Mistress Selina. She works in a BDSM club. Jason the owner of the BDSM wants Sam but can one of the Doms give up control??

Great storyline with characters I loved. I'm so looking forward to reading more of this series.

Note: This ARC was provided by Ardent PRose in exchange for an honest review.

There was no putting this book down once I started it. I went into this not knowing that it was part of a series, and yes, there are a couple of characters who obviously already had their time in the spotlight sharing their own love story, but it was difficult to lament the fact that I didn't get to read the series in order. Why? Because Sam and Jason and their story was simply too engrossing to be distracted from. Sam's past is painful to read, and I'm going to insert a trigger warning here, because there are various forms of abuse that she goes through, so be aware. As much as Sam tells Jason she trusts him, being in a relationship like theirs is something she has very little experience with, especially since her first and last one wasn't really based on love, so there are moments that she reacts without really taking the time to think things through. Jason, too, has his moments wherein he lets his emotions and insecurities get the better of him. Their story is all about them slowly but surely being more open and honest about their pasts and pushing one another to be more trusting. Overall, Disgrace was a good book and has me adding the first five books in the Choices series on my to-be-read list. I'm giving this new erotic romance 4.5 stars. ♥

I gave this book 5 Freaking Hot Stars!!!

Oh My Goodness!!! The whole book is beyond Hot but add in the last two chapters and I thought I was going to have to fire department because my kindle was on fire! I have to admit I started book 2 before I even realize that their was a book 1, but I quickly retrofired it and I absolute loved how Jason won over Sam.

Sam is a Dom. Jason is the owner of the club and Master Dom himself. As these two have worked closely together, Sam and Jason starts to have feelings for each other but Sam keeps avoiding Jason because she is afraid to Submit to him. Can Jason win over Sam and show her that its ok to control everywhere else except him?

I found this book to be easy to read, fell in love with the characters and even the storyline. This is part of a trilogy and I have to say that after reading this I will defiantly be reading all 3.

I have found a new author and I cant wait to one click her books!!!

Sam is a dominatrix haunted by her mother's treatment of her as a young girl. She escapes her jail at 18 and goes out in the world, where she meets Leon, this gentle soul, best friend that encourages her to be more that what her mother instilled in her. She meets Jason, sex club owner who's so in love with her and also a Dom. He will ask the ultimate to be his sub. Can Sam do it, will her past make a collision course on her present and future? A great story of longing where the future will erase the past. I could barely put the book down because the story is spellbinding!!!

This was a very enjoyable read about Sam, a Dominatrix and Jason, an extremely compelling Dom. Jason wants Sam and is pretty relentless in his pursuit. Sam has strong reservations about every submitting to any man given her past so wants to run as far from Jason as possible when he suggests she Switches for him. There was a lot of story in this book and I felt especially bad for Sam and all she endured growing up. Great chemistry between Sam and Jason and I always enjoyed a well written book involving BDSM.

This defines sexual chemistry. It's an angst filled novel. Heartbreaking childhood (teenage Hood?) turns Sam into the person she is and now finds herself submitting to the illustrious Jason who is yum to say the least.

Loved it.

Y’all holy shit. This was so good and kinky as hell. Jason and Sam are both doms and damn did it make their dynamic even better. The way this is written in so much detail was amazing and at times made me feel like I should go outside and touch some grass. THENNN, that last fucking chapter was the cherry on top. I have no complaints honestly I couldn’t put this down.

Also, Jason was such a good dom. He genuinely cared about Sam and only wanted to make her happy.

Title: Disgrace
Author: Dee Palmer
Series: Disgrace #1 (spin off of The Choices trilogy)
Genre: erotic romance, suspense
Themes: BDSM
Heat: 3/5
Rating: 3/5

Forget boy scout, he is more like a bondage ninja.

I have to say I went into this book expecting something completely different. From the synopsis, I believed I would be indulging in a highly erotic battle of power, with little substance other than a book full of wet dream material. And although this had elements of that, particularly the first 50%, it then turned suddenly into a much more suspenseful read, much deeper than my expectations. In fact, the suspense plot was, to me, more interesting than the romance between Jason and Sam.

The first thing that struck me when reading this is that Palmer has a very formal way of writing, with little elision, which I struggled to get my head around until I was quite a way in and into the flow of things. I should point out that, as I received an ARC of an already released book, I'm not 100% sure if this was a pre- or post-edited version. But I really struggled to read on when St. Pancras station was consistently called "St. Pancreas". This nearly became a DNF just because of that. There could also have been a few more commas to separate clauses; but, as I've said, once I really got into the engrossing plot, this particular style didn't grate on me so much.

"Two Doms don't make a right. We would not play well together."

Plot-wise, it was refreshing to read about a new relationship with characters who actually make the effort to communicate, thus avoiding many of the potential angst-triggers in the entire romance genre. It was also refreshing to get that one major conflict out of the way around the halfway mark to be able to settle into the plot and relationship properly, rather than expecting something big to happen to temporarily ruin things. And when it started getting a little dark, that's when I really got into the story.

Once again, due to my expectations, once the suspenseful narrative was underway I was expecting something pretty light. I read a lot of dark, so I can be hard to impress within this genre, but I have to say that Palmer did an excellent job of really making me feel that Sam was indeed in a truly perilous situation, rather than just a facade (if not, perhaps, a little melodramatic regarding Richard's motives).

Juxtaposed with the darkness, this had a hopeful tone, with a very experienced dominant, Jason, who was never over the top with alpha behaviour, but rather was extraordinarily understanding and supportive; an excellent hero for a romance. He worked superbly with Sam and her past. And the sex scenes, particularly the shibari and the finale, were pretty hot, even if there were a few too many euphemisms for my liking.

I believe we are made for this, made for each other, and her breathtaking smile and soaking wetness clenching around my fingers are all the evidence I need.

Overall, a surprisingly suspenseful and deep read, with characters that worked well together, just hampered (for me) by the style of writing. Having said that, I'm sure others will get along with this style a lot easier than I have, so don't let that deter you.

Would I read the original trilogy? Yes. I feel that I missed out on a lot of back story here that was just hinted at, and I want to read it for myself. I also believe there is a sequel in the making, and I will definitely be adding that to my TBR too.

DISGRACE is an intense erotic romance with a handful of BDSM , a bit on the dark side with some graphic violence and a lot emotional push and pulls. This book is not for the very faint of hearts, but I was truly impressed by the amazing storytelling.

Grace was abused from a very young age, by her Mom, who pimped her to Richard, a guy from a reputable family . Both of them crushed her youth.

She left home and her old self when she turned eighteen, and she met her best friend Leon. Ten years later, she earned a law degree as Sam, but her main occupation was as Mistress Selina, one of the most powerful Domme in a club owned by the sexy Dom Jason Sinclair.

Jason fell in love with Sam the first time he saw her. He wants her to switch and be publicly known as his sub, but he knew it won't be easy. Both of them are Dominants. But as the romance between them blossomed, Sam was slowly allowing herself to be open to switching.

Sam's insecurities are reopened when Jason's obsessive intern Pietra tried to test her trust, and when Richard came back to haunt her. But Jason saved her. He also fulfilled her secret fantasy. Because of his unconditional love for her, she, in turn, fully became his.

I read an advanced copy of this book when it was not yet in its final edits so there were some stuff that needed to be proofread and edited. But these were just minor and I'm hoping it will all be perfect when this book finally goes live.

I truly enjoyed this book. The characters were so engaging and emotionally provoking. I really admired Sam's tenacity and Jason was such a sweet and thoughtful sexy alpha male. Leon and Will were adorable. And Sam's Mom, Richard , Pietra were very effective antagonists. I was so affected by what they did that there were times I had to pause my reading to calm myself down. That's good writing right there , when the author is able to effectively affect you as a reader that you had to pause but you also can't put the book down.. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that Bethany and Daniel from The Choices Trilogy made a special appearance in the book.

This was an absolutely phenomenal read!

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **
** Review provided by Kylie from BFDU **

After a childhood filled with abuse, torture and rape at the hands of her own mother and so called boyfriend, the day of her 18th birthday, Grace leaves with her one small suitcase and the string of pearls her grandfather left her. It's time to start a new life, with a new identidy. On her first night out, Sam is born, and if her new friend Leon hadn't stepped in, it could've been her last.

Sam is one of the most sought after Dommes in the BDSM club scenes, known as mistress selina. Her whip skills alone, have her clients coming back for more time and time again.

Jason is the owner of the club where Sam works, and wants nothing more than for her to submit to him. It's all he's ever wanted, and why he bought his partner in the club out, so he could be sole owner and keep an eye on Sam.

At first Sam is taken with the idea, but as time goes on, she finds herself not only willingly submitting to Jason, but also falling in love.

But when her past comes back, things change drastically. Not only does she have her ex to deal with, but also the new intern at Jason's business is making a move on her man.

When Richard (the ex) and Pietra's ( the intern)sly plan to kidnap Sam finally works, all hell will break loose. Jason will stop at nothing to get his woman back.

The unsavoury and viscous things that happen to Sam are the exact things nightmares are made up of. And not everyone will get out alive.

If you loved Daniel and Bethany's story, then hold on to your socks ladies (and gents), this story is sexier, hotter and explores the world of BDSM like no other book I've read. One word of warning though, please read the last chapter in a well ventilated, cool room, I promise you you will need it!!! Either that or a cold shower.

Way to go Dee, yet another sensational masterpiece, that my mere words cannot do it the justice it so deserves.

A definite, sinfully delicious 5 star read.

Having read all of Dee Palmers Choice's trilogy and Ethans Fall i couldn't wait to read Disgrace. While Disgrace can be read as a standalone it does tie in with the Choice's trilogy and it was great to catch up with past characters.

As is the norm with this author this book is a bdsm novel and so much more. What i love most about these books is that each character brings something new and interesting. In Disgrace we get to know all about "Mistress Selina" aka Sam and Jason, the owner of the club where Sam works.

Sam has a dark past and as such considers herself a "whore," using the word as a means to hide behind until Jason come's along. Jason gets to her in a way no one else has but ultimately can Sam really be who he wants? And can she give him what he wants? You see Jason doesnt want her for her domme side, Jason wants her, all of her and more importantly Jason wants her to be a sub, his sub.

Jason has wanted Sam ever since that night at his best friend and business partners wedding. The night where for one night they were together, really together no pretense just Jason and Sam, two people insanely attracted to each other. Jason spends months trying to get Sam to agree to let him in so when she finally agrees he is determined to make her his permanently.

Jason and Sam go through many twists and turns in this book and i was on the edge of my seat with each and every one of them. This isnt just an average bdsm book, this is a book about letting go of your past, finding love and more importantly finding yourself.

Disgrace isnt a light read it is dark in places and touches on some really heavy subjects. My emotions were all over the place when reading, from humor to tears to being all hot and bothered during the steamy scenes this book really does have it all.

Overall another really great book from one of my all time fave authors.

5 super scorching hot stars
*warning* You WILL need a cold shower at some point reading this book!!
Sam leaves home at 18, she's safer on her own than surrounded by her toxic mother. On her first night alone she meets Leon in a bar, he takes her home and helps to reinvent her and her image. Now she's Sam by day and Mistress Selena by night. Working as a Domantrix at an exclusive club, she's the best Domme about. Still trying to live with her past and her demons, she's not interested in relationships. She's been burnt in the past and she's not willing to take that risk again.
Jason owns the club that Sam works at. Businessman/Dom he has set his sights on the lovely Samantha. He knows what she does and wants her regardless. Knowing he's going to have a fight on his hands to win her over just makes him even more determined.
When Jason approaches Sam with a sexy proposition, she's not convinced. Like she says "two Doms don't make a right". Can she really switch for him? Or will her dominant Mistress Selina persona get in her way?
I absolutely loved this book. I adore Sam and Jason. Jason has to be the most swoon worthy Dom ever. Sam is a fighter, even when she doesn't think she's been strong and you can't help but like her for it. With best friend Leon there to interfere when needed, Daniel and Bethany making an appearance and some really super hot scenes (I'm talking I need a cold shower kind of hot) this book was an absolute gem of a book. I've read all Dees books and this is her best work to date. The flow, the writing, it all shows how far Dee Palmer has come as an author and there is nothing in this book that I'd change. A brilliant book that I will be recommending to everybody.

HOLY SMOKIN’ HOTNESS

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I have been told is good, because this is the “steamiest” of them all… and if that is the case, she needs to keep writing this genre…because she is GOOOD at it.

You have a “Dominatrix Selena” who works at a sex club. Her real name is Sam…well really Grace, but she changed her name legally to Sam when she moved away from her abusive mother.

The owner of the sex club is Jason. Jason has had a thing for Sam since a fling they had in a closet at a wedding they both attended. Sam didn’t know it, but Jason wanted her as his own.

This is a story of two Dom’s and one giving in and submitting to the other.
It starts off with a deal to spend a day together, which turns out to be a week… and you have to read it to see if it lasts.

When Sam moved out on her own, she ran into Leon, who is now her best friend. They have a strange relationship…but fun. If it wasn’t for Leon, the relationship with Jason would never have transpired.

Oh… and let’s talk about the fantasy that Sam has, and comes true… oh… wait, I can’t tell you about that…if I do, this review probably won’t get posted. Let me just say HOT AS HECK!

This is a great story of a troubled you girl who becomes a strong woman. Someone who has insecurities that Jason helps her work through.
The story has some serious moment, and some funny moments…but it keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. Oh… and just let me say… I can’t stand Peitra. I can’t say why…but when you read it, you will have the same feelings.

Sam left home at the age of eighteen leaving a terrible mother who mental and verbally abused her. Additionally she left the abuse of the boyfriend who her mother pushed her to date knowing he was not only physically abusing her but also taking parts of her she wasn't ready to give. She changed her name from Grace to Samantha and became another person. A stronger person.

Years later and Sam is now a sought after Dominatrix at a BDSM club. She has her work and her best friend Leon but she doesn't do relationships and keeps men at a distance. Several months earlier Sam spent an unforgettable steamy night with Jason, the owner of the club where she works. He wants more and although she's managed to push off his interest for a while, it's time to confront him. Jason is also a Dom and in addition to him wanting Sam to submit to him, his plans are for far more between he and Sam. He sincerely cares for Sam and is hoping for something long term. Things move slow and look good until the monster boyfriend from Sam's past comes back.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I genuinely enjoyed it. The relationship between Sam and Jason moves at a believable pace and both are good characters. There is apparently another book(s) telling their friends Bethany's and Daniel's story, but I obviously haven't read it and didn't feel I needed to in order to enjoy this one. Jason is super sweet and gentle yet he's completely possessive and all man when needed. Sam is strong yet feminine and shows this side only to Jason. I loved Sam's best friend Leon and would love for him to find his own leading lady. There's also a number of hot steamy scenes that'll cause you to blush.

Overall good book told from dual POVs with an ending that will make you smile.

description

Disgrace by Dee Palmer was a sexy and erotic 5 star read.

The beginning of Disgrace is heartbreaking, we get a glimpse into Grace’s childhood and her abusive relationship with the man she loved. At 18 she left without ever looking back.
She has since then started a new life, changed her name to Sam and has gone through training to be a dominatrix and is highly sought after.

Jason owns the club that Sam works at to be closer to her and control who is around her. After one night at a friends wedding he can't get her out of his mind. Can he get Sam to submit to him?

“Two Doms don’t make a right. We would not play well together.”
Just when things seem to be looking up for these two the past comes crashing down on Sam. There is also Pietra a new intern that has her sights set on Jason. Can they come between Sam and Jason?

Dee Palmer does a great job of pulling you into this story. Your heart just breaks for the things that Sam endures. Disgrace is dark, suspenseful, hot, steamy and touches on BDSM. There are some things that may cause triggers for some and break your heart as well. Jason and Sam have such a great chemistry and I really loved reading their story. I can’t wait to see what’s coming for this series. Thank you!

This book is about two people who come together and have an incredible cemetery, while one pursues the other runs.
We follow Sam and Jason on their journey of highs & lows, inner struggles & frustrations, love and friendships.
Watch as they grow but not just as a couple but also as individuals.

Sam's past is bad and dark filled with mental and physical abuse from both her mother and her first boyfriend.
At 18 she runs away to start anew, this leads to her new friend and job in a private club as a Dom.
She wears her dominatrix personal like a cloak (well more like a shield) to keep people at arms length, you don't get hurt that way.
She's good, very good at what she does, she holds her head high proud of what she does for a living!

Jason is dominant, in control, powerful businessman that knows what he wants and always gets it! Who is also a Dom and owns the club that Sam works in.
I love the progression of the characters throughout this book the way they grow and adapt to each other is very realistic, the way Jason is pursuant for her submission but holds back not pushing her to far too soon, Sam's willing to try but still holds back what he wants most and it's not submission but her heart! To scared to have it broken again.

I was so excited for this book as both characters are secondary characters from The Choices trilogy and I loved Sam an thought her book would be wicked and I was not wrong!!!
I absolutely floved this book!! Amazing characters fab story line and great writing what more do you need!!!
Can't wait to start the next one!!!

Wow! Just WOW!

This book is a 6 star hot as hell read. I could not put it down!

This book sits in between the end of The Only Choice and before the epilogue. If you haven't read The Choices trilogy then you should but it's not a necessity to enjoy this book; you're just missing out on a really good trilogy!! This is where we first meet the characters of Jason and Sam / Mistress Selina.

In Disgrace Jason & Sam get to tell their story...I'm not going to give too much away as the synopsis for the book pretty much gives you the essence of the story in a nutshell. This book touches BDSM and some element of violence so please don't read if that really isn't your thing.

I love books where the characters have been given a sense of a humour and I can go from laughing one minute to gasping and holding my breath in the next. Once again the author certainly didn't disappoint. Jason is just HOT HOT HOT, who doesn't love a dominant sexy alpha male and Selina is full of sass with a "smart mouth", these two characters were totally made or each other. "Two Doms don't make a right, right? But in this book they certainly did!

I read this book in a day, that's how addicted to it I was. I couldn't put it down. It was full of angst, suspense, twists and secrets. There really wasn't a suitable place to stop reading and take a break!

In fact, the only disappointment I felt with this book was when I turned the last page and read "The End"
